If you paid the price they quoted us (and we didn't use them) then you have been ripped off. Their price was 3X higher than their competitors. Same work.

What started as a simple attic project turned into months of stress, property damage, and legal action. Atticare Construction / AtticareUSA repeatedly addressed “technician” with business materials in-hand repeatedly missed deadlines, purchased and installed incorrect materials, caused property damage to newly finished areas, and left unsafe conditions. Accepting a violating 50% deposit via Zelle from this “family-owned business,” communication eventually stopped, multiple no-shows, no calls, and no follow-up despite corrective promises.

I was ultimately forced to hire other contractors to fix the work and pursue formal complaints and legal action. The matter ended in a court judgment (approx. $9k) in my favor with the technician being associated with both Atticare Construction and Ocean Blue Builders after the CEO and co-owner stated that he was an independent contractor, which later found to operate illegally with an 8-month expired contractor’s license and funds for the technician to quickly purchase materials to start the next day, allegedly did not go directly to Atticare Construction.

Based on my experience finding this encounter to be full of misrepresentation, volatile behavior and unethical business practices, I would strongly avoid this business and find one with integrity, customer service and safeguards to protect consumers.

Had my house attic insulated. The cost was reasonable and the insulation has made a difference.
The doorbell wire was damaged during the install and atticare hired an electrician to repair it. Then they put back the insulation after the repair. One employee was especially helpful...Simon. He helped with all my questions and issues. He was great. Two other employees weren't as helpful but Simon made up for it. Happy with the experience.
