I contacted Attwoolls Outdoors on 15 June regarding a Vango self-inflating mat purchased from them. After only three Scout camping trips, the mat developed a hole immediately beside the valve—an area strongly suggestive of a material or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear.
I supplied the order details, photographs and a full explanation. I then followed up on 24 June and again on 10 July.
Despite three emails over nearly four weeks, Attwoolls has not provided so much as an acknowledgement.
NOTHING.
No one expects an instant warranty decision. What customers are entitled to expect is basic professional courtesy: confirmation that the complaint has been received, an explanation of the process, and a reasonable indication of what happens next.
Attwoolls has managed none of these.
This is not merely slow customer service; it is an apparent absence of customer service altogether. A retailer’s standards are not measured when a sale is easy, but when a product fails, and the customer requires support. On that measure, Attwoolls has performed extremely poorly.
Based on this experience, I would NEVER purchase from them again and would advise others to consider carefully how much after-sales support they are likely to receive once payment has been taken.

After speaking to the sales team via email, I enquired if the cayman high would fit my motorhome, I gave heights and was advised yes this would fit.
So I placed order on 8th June 2026
It was a super fast service and could not fault this.
As I could not try this till 1wk later, when I went ahead and pitched it, I discovered it is far to high when fully adjusted, and the material and zips are of very poor quality, so I asked to return this under the 14 day return no reason required policy, and they advised me as I had tried this it is now second hand, and they are not interested as they could not resell it.
So there return and warranty is load of rubbish, how can anyone test there products if you can’t open them to see, especially an awning.
This is still ongoing, they are happy to take your money I would not recommend this company as it stands just now hence this review.on going update , I returned awning it was only up for 1/2 a day and they said. The foot was worn and damaged so they deducted 20% £79 of my refund , I’m so glad I returned this as it would only been fit for the bin if I continued to use it poor quality

We checked in advance if it was dog friendly and you confirm on your website it is dog friendly and there are no mentions of any restricted areas. This affected our shopping experience as the areas we wanted to view (tents) we could not enter as a family to view and test. It wouldn’t have been an issue if your website reflected this information so we could have made alternative arrangements to visit. Therefore on this occasion we didn’t stay long to look around at much as we had our dog in tow. Disappointing experience.

Purchased a Dometic Windbreak from Attwoolls as the price was unbeatable and included delivery, communication was great and was as described brand new in the box. The first time we used it a couple of the end caps were broken (it was still useable). Contacted Attwoolls who contacted Dometic, 5 days later the replacement end caps arrived. Great service from both parties. Very impressed with the windbreak(5 panel pro), good design which is fairly easy to erect and sturdy in a fairly strong wind.

Travelled to Attwoolls in hopes of buying a new small 4 person tent for me, my partner and our dog but was extremely disappointed with the range of tents on display. Hardly any for couples/small family about 4 or 5 only. All other tents were huge 6-8 person ones for medium/large families. No Outwell tents either, despite being a popular brand and our brand of choice. Disappointing.

Bought an talta lounge air awning in march. The awning as been up since march 20th and within the the first week the storm strap snapped with lead to the window getting cut and at present I have had to fix 2 punches in the bladders which I believe is due to the zips rubbing on the bladders. This product is a waste of money. At £2000 didn't expect to be fixing it on a weekly basis.

I was in communication weeks ago in regards to this matter now the communication as fell silent.went back and forth with the same questions although I sent images of the damage. Seems to me that once they have your money which was over £2000 they are just not bothered with you, now I'm out of pocket and have a damaged awning. 👍 👍

Staff could not have been more helpful. Tried for weeks to find a replacement airbeam for my tent. There wasnt one in stock but they contacted the company and sorced one for us. Atwoolls has everything you could want in a camping store. I spent many hours reading about different drive away awnings and all my questions were answered in 20 minutes if being in the store. So many on display. They even price matched a company that had the product on sale
There was a slight manufacturing issue with the product. The after care from Andrew was exceptional
Genuinely can't imagine a better camping store than this

We drove down from Nottinghamshire and it was worth the drive. Lots of tents to look at, the staff were very helpful but left us to look. When we asked for help Martin listened to what we wanted and then went through our options. Again no pushy sales left us to think about what he had showed us and then came back so we could chat through pros and cons and what we were thinking. We ended up with the perfect tent for us, lots of additional features and we can't wait to go camping. Thank you again Martin we cannot recommend this place enough

Having bought what we thought was the perfect tent from Attwoolls we discovered that it did not really meet our needs after a very wet and windy week’s camping in Wales. We pointed this out to the company and were immediately offered a new deal and a different tent, with some very helpful advice. We could not be happier with both the outcome and the support provided by Attwoolls, for which we are very grateful.

Excellent customer service. A Vango tent I ordered was delivered damaged. Once returned a replacement new tent arrived within 2 days just in time for a camping weekend. Excellent customer service all round plus the tent was the best price on the market. Thanks to Andrew in customer service

On Thursday 14th August I visited Attwoolls Whitminster and bought a camping chair, and I have to say that the gentleman I dealt with on this occasion ( unfortunately I don’t have his name but he has a beard ) was so helpful and professional .Being disabled I was not able to carry said chair to my car, but this gentleman was glad to carry it for me and even CAREFULLY placed it in the car for me, unfortunately, due to a manufacturing issue I had to return the chair yesterday 18th, on this occasion I dealt with Mr John Attwoolls son, and I have to say that he was as equally polite and professional.
Many grateful thanks to both members of staff, and you can be assured, that if I need anything camping related in future then I won’t hesitate to return to this company.

Very disappointed in customer services, we bought a awning and took it out to check it was ok, we found it was not what we needed and attempted to return it, we were then told as it had been taken out of the box and opened up we couldn't return it... total waste of money!

Absolutely superb range of products and after sales service/knowledge that are second to none. Bought an Outwell airbeam tent about 7 years ago, had several issues in the first two years but Attwools sorted them for us via the manufacturer. A few years ago the air release valves started leaking but rather than charge me for new ones, Chris talked me through ‘realigning’ them after Outwell had failed to respond to
my enquiries. This year the valves didn’t respond to realignment and I couldn’t source any new ones online. Phoned Attwools, Chris immediately suggested an alternative brand and even sent out some examples with no charge. These have been fitted and are better than original. I can once again sleep in my tent with both eyes closed 😊. A massive thanks to Chris and Attwools
