The staff are very friendly and the building is well heated and has a very nice cafe and it was quite a fun experience BUT :
I made the trip to Merthyr in the hope of picking up a good deal.
All the cars that I was interested in sold on the night for more than I was willing to pay. I looked at the lot list a couple of days later and all the cars that I was looking at were back in. I messaged the company just quoting one vehicle and was told it was sold but the buyer failed finance. Hmm that means the six vehicles would've made them £3000 in lost deposits. I didn't make it to the second auction and looked again at what would be the 3rd and the cars are back again. Something is definitely not right here. They are the same vehicles, they cover the reg numbers but very careful examination of the pictures prove they are the same vehicles. It does make me wonder how genuine this auction is - with regard to cars at least, all these vehicles sell on the night, they can't repeatedly fail finance! I'm thinking that as far as the cars are concerned they are acting more like a dealership and want a certain price, if they don't get it they take the bid for themselves and then repeat and repeat. I have since found another car elsewhere with a dealer with better spec, lower mileage, got them to service it and renew mot so it had 12 months for LESS money. So DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you go and don't get carried away and bid more than you should because you think you're getting a deal because you're at an auction!

I have been going to this auctioneers for many years now and I have never been disappointed. Fantastic prices and good quality vehicles I always get a great deal most importantly, the staff are constantly helping and will give you any advice you need. The set up is very relaxed and there’s also a great cafe in there with good quality food and drinks. The whole experience is great fun with so much to choose from worth every penny 👌

1st time at an auction and what a superb service,Dean and Danni were superb from the start .had the van I was looking for at a price I wanted,would recommend to everyone who's looking for a quality vehicle at a good price.

Bought a 58plate transit van on Wednesday from auctioneers was a bit worried about placing bids and buying a van from here but after speaking with my spotter named Danny everything was explained clearly he ran through everything for me answered any questions I asked about the vans and the costs on top etc. He even came back and helped me bid on the ones I liked. Very helpful and I would go back again just because off the service and good quality vans thanks guys

I heard about Merthyr motor auctions from the good quality cars and vans they auction a couple of times a week. My Dad bought a van and converted into a camper years ago and still loves it, he says it’s the best he’s ever bought so I went there being slightly nervous as I’m a women and didn’t know what it would be like but my Dad said it would be fine. I couldn’t be happier with my afternoon. I got there on Wednesday about half 4 had a look at a few cars and was helped by all the staff they were brilliant. I had some food before the auction and set myself a limit on what I wanted to spend. I bought a lovely low mileage fiat 500 and Im really happy. Top job AUCTIONEERS.CO.UK

I have been trying to buy a van from this auctioneers, but week after week the Same van keeps poping out when I called they had already a price in mind that the van was going to get at auction
Than some one told me that they already have prices estipulated for each van if it doesn't reach the price that they want they say an online bidder over bid than that van gets listed again and and again until it reaches the price that they want to sell it for quite unfair for people that a genuine biders
