Download contains malware. Why is this even ranked 3 out of 5 stars on trustpilot.com? Trustpilot should be ranked lower for certain for this.

Audacity has a problem
Audacity has a problem.
Many does download it from other than the correct place which is audacityteam.org.
The audacity.de site tell that version 3.0 is the latest (latest is 3.4.2) and the audacity.org is flagged as insecure.
Audacity is perfect for what is supposed to be used for and in Windows it installs and is functional right from the start, where in Linux it need to have also Pavucontrol installed in order to function as Linux use Alsa and need pulse to be where data to in- and output come from and not where Audacity tell default should be.
Such information should be mentioned in the Audacity web site when it is to be downloaded for Linux.
But. Audacity is perfect and absolutely 5 ***** star app.
