If I could give them no stars, I would! The worst block management company I have ever dealt with. An urgent situation left unattended for days and wrote to the directors and delivered by hand compla... See more

This company has no clue what service or property management is about. And it starts at the top with Dan Paige, the 'Director'. My poor experience started a year ago when they purchased a second insur... See more

Disgusting rip off company

Disgusting rip off company - Avoid. This company used to manage our flats until we took over the freehold. They used to send us bills for “major works” ie painting the front or back elevation along with making up jobs that didn’t need doing charge, used their own contractors then didn’t complete the work properly. They were exposed by a 3rd party insurance company who investigated some of the work carried out by their contractors as it was suspicious, charged the freeholders then claimed on insurance. The work was proven to have not been carried out, Austin Rees did not reply to concerns and repeatedly tried to charge tens of thousands for work that was either not carried out or did not need doing and let the entire building run into a complete state of disrepair. Nearly bankrupted several tenants with extortionate fees. To put one case into perspective, tried to demand £16,000 in about 3 months for their contractors for more “major works” and threatened to repossess homes for non-payment so we ended up buying freehold so we could be rid of this fleecing company. The same “major works” has been quoted at just £3,000 by several reputable fully insured firms since we took over management, so £13,000 less and the building can now be managed effectively without future owners being ripped off. This would’ve carried on for years. I would avoid this company at all costs and seriously warn anyone who is purchasing a Leasehold flat if they are the managing agent.
