With Auting I was driving a luxury car for less money than an economy car would cost with normal car rental companies. Driving a convertible BMW around Tuscany was great. Auting and the cars owner made the experience easy.

I've used them twice now and had a very positive experience both times.

Their customer service is very good, the system works well and the people I have rented from have been very helpful.

You can’t beat the price—undercuts the next closest platform by almost half in my experience (which totals exactly one rental, to be fair). Car owners have very widely ranging responsiveness, and it’s prohibitively difficult to alter a reservation, but if cost is more important to you than hypermodern convenience—there is none better. The actual IRL portion of the experience was flawless—clean new car, extremely lovely and helpful owner.

I love it that Auting offers a platform for car sharing, and the platform works amazingly. I had a very good experience with the customer service and the person whom we rented the car from was also very nice.

Everything was as expected! Michael was a very friendly and flexible and the car was perfect for us!

Auting app is very easy to use, simple and helpfull. I always prefer rent from private people than a company it is really cheaper and more simple.
One issue with an app was that new received messages appear slowly and there is no feature to reload messages.

The service is really good and convenient, but the experience using the app is very frustrating. I spent ~20min taking photos of the car, using the new self check-in/check-out feature, where it would randomly remove uploaded photos, take a minute to load (and discard), with an otherwise good network connection. Great feature, but awful experience using it.

This is the second time I've used Auting to rent a car while vacationing in Italy, and once again it was an excellent experience. The car owner Davide was easily accessible and friendly. I was able to locate the car's position and open it via the app, and could return it with a 500m radius of where the rental began. The app works seamlessly, and is available in Italian, English and French versions. I would highly recommend Auting for visitors to Italy who prefer to rent a vehicle from a private person rather than a company.

Easy, great communication with the owner and overall great experience.

Needed a rental for a longer time period (28 days) and saved about $1000 using Auting vs traditional rental. Good selection of cars in Rome and the check in/out process was very smooth using Auting connect. Also had very responsive and helpful customer service when I was having an issue completing my booking as a Canadian user. Everything worked out great and I would definitely use them again!

It’s a nice concept and it worked for me this time. The main advantage is that you don’t need to put any guarantees for the car with a credit card.
The cars might vary in conditions and cleanness I think, but again my experience was overall positive.

Site works well and was able to rent a great car for a good price!
