No Customer Service or Support, TERRIBLE COMPANY

A terrible customer experience, a loyal user + customer of 20+ years, no support for continuous crashing auto-cad, just a bunch of copy paste chat gpt text, barely understandable and all this for over 2k a year, absolutely disgusting and look forward to giving graphisoft all my future business.

Technical support is non-existent

Technical support is non-existent. I have requested and been set with a teams meeting twice where the tech did not make the meeting. This is unacceptable. We were required by our customer to use this software and have continuously encountered problems with it. The abuse of AI and the practically non-existent customer support make this a very undesirable product.

Free 15 day AutoCAD did not work!

I wasted an entire afternoon trying to download and then get rid of the "free" 15 day AutoCAD trial, which did not work at all.

It would not let me use the program unless I first paid for an annual subscription, which is more than $2000.

Then I found that it is nearly impossible to uninstall all the garbage they put on my computer because something was running that I could not find or shut down. I think I finally got rid of all of it but I don't really know how I did it.

I was not allowed to access Customer Service because I refused to pay.

I need a CAD program but it definitely will not be this one.

I need a

If I could give 0 I would

If I could give 0 I would - same experience as everyone else here, caught out by their auto-renewal for something I don’t use. Disgraceful cut and paste replies with no care for customer experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Using paid desktop service on thoughtful mode. Spent 5 hours trying to baby-step this application to create a simple threaded cap for 3D printing. OD 1.25" ID 1.062" Height 1.5" Flat enclosed cap on bottom, internal threads of 16 tpi. It's a great concept, but not ready for commercial release. At least not for my application.

Supports students and professors

To my surprise, Autodesk has granted me a student license for Inventor - totally free of charge. It took just a couple of minutes and voila, now I have a chance to use the professional version of Inventor for a year - free of charge.
That means a lot to students and professors who are also eligible for free licenses.
So, thank you Autodesk for supporting education.

Charged for license renewal

My husband died in January 2026. Autodesk charged my personal credit card for a 3-year license renewal in December. When I contacted Autodesk (indicating I had not approved the renewal charge) I was told the license was for 3 years and there was no way they could cancel the renewal fee. It was adding insult to injury and their system needs improvement. Now I'm stuck with a $500 fee for a program that will never be used. In addition, I had tried to call them several times over the last two months and got no answer to the calls. Totally unsatisfactory.

This software is a disgrace

This software is a disgrace. Two weeks of work lost because the program saves remove themselves on their own. Not to mention the file tree, which can’t be organized at all, or the navigation in general. It’s fine if you’re making a program for a cube. As soon as things get complicated, I have absolutely no trust in this software anymore. Thank you making loosing hundreds hiours of work with a video games with no sense

AutoCAD is powerful but an impoverished tool.

AutoCAD is powerful and industry-standard, but the daily workflow can be frustrating. Constant sign-ins and license checks slow you down when you just want to open a drawing. The subscription model means you never truly own the software, and if the license check fails you’re locked out. It even forces extra sign-in steps unless you enable two-factor verification just to use simple tools like the map features. Performance can lag on large files, crashes and DWG corruption still happen, and the interface is bloated with menus that slow productivity. Frequent updates break plugins or workflows, automation is weaker than it should be, and the cloud-centric system often makes it feel like your work isn’t truly saved or controlled locally. Great capabilities, but far too much friction for people who just want to draft and move on.

Autodesk / Autocad is the biggest…

Autodesk / Autocad is the biggest ripoff in the industry.. you can't even export Revit to Autocad/ dwg.. they are from the same company, truly pathetic .. buy at your risk. Even their online links related to viewers to programs don’t work. Their pricing structure is outrageous, I don't believe any program or suite charges as much per annum.

Hopefully a AI clone will put them out of business

This company definitely sucks

This company definitely sucks. Trustpilot needs to add some negative stars for a selection. Good luck getting support. Their automated phone answering system tells you to go to their website and choose "Schedule a Call" for them to call you. Good luck trying to find that on their website. If you do talk to someone, you sure in the hell can't understand a freaking word they say. I get better support from a Depends undergarment!!!

If I could give it 0 stars i would

If I could give it 0 stars i would. I cannot express how awful their fusion 360 is - the only reason my university use it is because its the only student deal they can get, cheap skates. It is so illogical and the software is atroscious.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT/COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT/COMPANY. they have no support what so ever, they just use bots and online tutorials, with way of speaking with customer support for unique problems. One such problem is getting access you your files that they require you to save in their cloud and can subsequently delete or restrict your access to if things change with your subscription or account. I changed jobs and emails, so they just deleted all of my files (or at least denied me the ability to access them). And then just ghosted me after persistent complaints. It's crazy. years of work lost.

This company is unethical & sucks

This company is unethical & sucks. They think AI replaces hardworking & passionate people with families.. Think Again. No one wants to hear from a bot. I appreciate when companies listen & care for their customers, not AI. This was a bad move by Autodesk & they will see the snowball effect begin shortly. Goodluck.

One of the greediest companies out…

One of the greediest companies out there. Instead of fixing their software, they pivoted to a subscription model with massive, unjustified costs imposed on existing users. Imagine working in the same software for five years, uploading all your own designs to their platform, and then being told you now have to pay just to access your own work again.

And that’s before even getting into the software itself. Fusion 360 constantly freezes on Windows 11 on every machine I’ve used. It was freezing long before the subscription price hikes, and it still freezes now. Nothing has improved.

So what exactly am I paying for here - higher costs, locked-in data, and the same instability? It’s hard to see the value in continuing with this level of frustration.

Cloned my HDD for SSD

Cloned my HDD for SSD
Now find Autocad LT software is flagging for an activation code which Autodesk will not supply. As I purchased this package, the Autocad software is now preventing my use. This is nothing short of extortion. I have asked for a refund but the chat line is dropped by their agents. Very dodgy practice.
