This is a great way to gain your A2 C…
This is a great way to gain your A2 C of C. Easy and efficient registration process and good sound material which focusses on the main things you need to know to pass the exam and you are able and encouraged to take the knowledge checks within their system as many times as you like. The questions in the knowledge checks are drawn from the question bank upon which the final exam is based so it is well worth doing each one a few times to get a good mix of questions. A small criticism is that they need to correct the typos and grammatical errors in their material, a point that has been raised by other customers in the past, but these error in no way detract from the learning experience. I highly recommend AV8-Group for anyone wanting to complete their UA training online.

Meteorology and Mentors
Hi, genuinely had no major issues, the course was easy to follow and if you have a true interest in drones the first 2 sections will be a easy! Some real contact would have been pleasant, even a personalised email from one of the tutors introducing themselves and offering to mentor or similar throughout the course would have been a nice touch.
Finally the Meteorology part of the course I found difficult, maybe more video content/research and some revision notes around this would have been useful for myself, I have read on Facebook that others struggled in this area also.

Very good course.
Very good course with a excellent instructor. The course could maybe do with one more day doing the practical element to consolidate all that was taught, this could be done by having all the theory except for the exam, flight plan and operation manual being conducted at home by the students. Making day one of the course the last of theory and four days of practical teaching flying, the exam and consolidation.

Professional Company offering a Professional Service with Professional People
AV8 were recommended by a colleague who had completed a Drone Course with them earlier in the year. He had been impressed by the professional service provided and having to gain my own Drone Pilot qualification for work it was an easy decision to use AV8.
Having flown drones previously then i scheduled a telephone meeting with Jon Anderson, which he rang at the scheduled time to discuss my previous flight experience and also what i would require to be within current regualations. AV8 were able to write a bespoke course for me with the relevant legislation and material required.
I was impressed with the Online Learning package , allowing you to complete it at your own pace and time of day, it was easy to navigate and use. It was broken down into the relevant areas i needed to cover as well as providing questions at the end of each subject which i found extremely useful.
Each section had to be completed to allow you to unlock to the next section which i found useful and ensured you did not jump ahead. It also allowed you to go back to sections you wished to re-visit and also go over the questions.
I was able to ask questions of the instructors which were replied in a timely manner and dealt with whatever i had raised.
The flight assessment was marked and feedback provided which pointed out areas i needed to consider.
The Online exam was sat by myself on a saturday night , i booked it online and it was then invigilated which i found an unusual experience , however , the advantage of this was i could book a time/date to suit myself and not have to sit it at a time to suit the invigilator which could cause problems.
Once i had passed the theory i had a day with Richard Longstaff at a training site which was close to where i lived.
Richard had spoken to me regarding what drones i intended to fly and brought a DJI Mavic Pro. Initially we went through the controls of the DJI and then began flying the DJI. Richard explained the necessary systems of the DJI and allowed me to build up my confidence whilst offering advice from his own flight experience. This was a full day of flying and then the test.
This full day was worthwhile and for those who may not have flown for a while or need a refresher day to top up skills then i would recommend this , I also flew other drones which gave me an appreciation of them.
Overall i am more than satisfied with AV8 and the service provided and would not hesitate in recommending them
