I recently reached out to Aviation Edge to see if I could get a free key for my school project. They were quick to respond and graciously agreed to give me a key.

Their API is well documented and has lots of different aspects. The response time on their API is very quick especially considering the size of data returned by my initial couple of queries that I primarily used to test functionality.

Overall I couldn't be happier with their customer service and product quality. I'm looking forward to using their API to finish up my school project.

I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate thesis at the time of writing. I'd like to thank Aviation Edge's generosity in helping my group afford their services for my study. Unfortunately, my group is not funded by our university and the data that I'm looking for is quite particular that I had trouble finding accessibility from companies and airports. Aviation Edge gave me the opportunity to pursue my study while also allowing us to afford their services at a student's price.
Overall, the service that they offer is definitely worth the membership. They have one of the lowest rates in terms of membership from my understanding. The numerous options available and the easy integration with Python definitely made the whole experience easier and more complete. Big props to their customer service for their kindness, empathy, professionalism, and timely replies to my queries. They definitely played a big part in me choosing this service. I hope for this company's expansion and popularity soon.

I’m a university student using Aviation Edge for a project, and the experience has been excellent. The API is very easy to integrate, the documentation is clear, and the data is reliable and up to date which is exactly what we needed for our analysis. We were especially impressed by how smoothly the endpoints run and how quickly we could access historical flight information.

I have been able to test the Data I am able to pull from Aviation Edge. While other API keys I have tried struggle with the context of NZ flights, this API key does not. I have been able to create a front end that has a backend revolving around the data I am able to extract from the API. With this I am able to make a flight tracker with all sorts of details such as plane status and times and even if they are delayed on cancelled.

I would like to highlight the amazing service John has given me from the very beginning. As a student in tech with limited budget, they encouraged my project by giving me free access which I am extremely grateful for! That being said, their service works great truly what I have been looking for.

We have been using Aviation Edge for a university project that required real-time flight arrival and departure data for a local airport in our Aviation Suite. It has been a fantastic experience as John and his staff have been very helpful when we needed something or had questions.

I have testing countless (maybe all) commercially available aviation schedule APIs, and this by far is the best, especially for the price.

Aviation Edge’s historical flight data has been incredibly detailed and reliable. It includes delays, statuses, actual and scheduled times — globally and across all airlines. This API allows multiple concurrent queries, returns up to 20k flights in one call, is not rate limited and has a large amount of filtering parameters. The data consistency has been excellent throughout, and the API has experienced very little downtime in our usage.

Special mention to Leo, who's support has also been fantastic. Responses are always quick, extremely helpful, and tailored around our specific needs.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for robust aviation data and a team that genuinely supports you.

I need the information for a project I am working on. Setup was very easy and information was precise. Would highly recommend for main stream services. And Leo is awesome to deal with. very responsive in a short time

Overall Experience: We've been extremely satisfied with the support provided—it’s clear that the team is dedicated to delivering excellent service. The customer service is top-notch, with quick and friendly responses to any requests. Their responsiveness has made a real difference in our experience.

Many of our update requests—such as airline name/code changes or missing airlines—have been related to updates that took place within the last two years. A comprehensive refresh of the static data could potentially minimize the need for frequent update requests.

Be careful with their subscription policy. After I forgot to cancel my free subscription, which converted to a paid yearly subscription, I contacted them the following day, and they refused to refund me. I never used their API, not even once. Classic Bulgarian business... P.S. Reply to Aviation Edge Reply: If you look at all one star reviews, many people has same issue. And you are choosing not to review your subscription policy but to talk back at Trustpilot, I think that tells a lot about you as a company. I will try to spend more of my free time to get this issue more publicity as possible to protect your future customers because I see that you are not able to do that.

Aviation Edge is the best source of air travel data. For my master's thesis on flight data mining using artificial intelligence, it helped a lot. Speed, data completeness, structuring, everything is top level. Thank you for the experience.

Aviation Edge is an amazing source for live flight data, airport data (METARs/TAFs etc..). The customer service is also absolutely amazing and helpful. As a student on a budget, John at the Aviation Edge sales team was able to help me by reducing the cost of the API key and use it for a limited time.
