We have an Avtex smart TV fitted in our motorhome which we bought new 18 months ago. The TV was great until, last August, it stopped working. We contacted the service team at Avtex and we had to had to send the TV back to be repaired. Craig was a great help and we received the TV back promptly within a week.

This week exactly the same thing happened. We tried to reboot it ourselves but Slade in the service team said that they would have to fit a new circuit board. Without going into all the details, Slade went above and beyond in helping us and we really appreciated his help and expertise.

Although it’s obviously very unfortunate that we’ve had the same problem twice within 15 months with our Avtex smart TV, the purpose of this review is not to complain about the product but to say that, in our view, Avtex’s after sales care has been excellent. Thank you Craig and Slade.

Having owned an avtex TV for the last ten years with no problems at all, in my aged T4, on purchasing my new luxury campervan there was only one make of TV to get the avtex smart pro. This was so easy to set up.
Travelling on my own a reliable TV is essential and avtex have never let me down.

Needed a extra TV for our sleeping area, had Avtex before and let it go with our old Campervan, with no doubt Avtex 22” was the one we were going to buy for our new Motorhome
Just perfect size and quality.

Just such a “GREAT” company to deal with they are exactly what it says on the tin, efficient and NO broken promises which I don’t know of many companies that have this work ethics ! So well done Craig !

I have been hunting for a direct replacement for the 19.5" Avtex dropdown model in my Autotrail motorhome. I bought one of the new Freely Avtex tvs, and was disappointed when I found that it would not fit the dropdown chassis, and had to return it to the company I bought it from. After this, and hunting high and low for the "smart" version that would fit (unsuccessfully) i decided to email Avtex support who, very quickly replied with the correct model I needed, with an offer to supply as they still had stock of this older model. I jumped at this, and made the order. I received the new 19.5" smart model the day after. I am really impressed with the support I received, and the rapid dispatch of the television, which is now snugly installed and working perfectly. My thanks and gratitude to Avtex for their help.

I like TV design, compact and perfect for our ”little” RV, the sound isn’t as expected but I can probably fix it (if I win your Bluetooth soundbar ; ). The only problem I have is to find Avtex Voice Remote control fittings to my model AV24TS! Where can I buy it? Couldn’t find it in Sweden (!)

Product was easy to fit to wall and set up. Watching TV within the hour. Great picture and sound.

The TV is fine..
The operating system won't accept Android apps or side installation..
A bit like buying a diesel car and only having petrol to fuel it...
Had I known this at point of purchase I'd have passed on it..
A great TV let down by the software..
The whole world is Android and this company decided to kill it's chances by going rouge...
In this current era of app download and being bullied into only being able to download what this company want, is too restrictive
Will return to Amazon tomorrow..

We purchased this product to enhance our caravan, and we genuinely believe it is a must-have item that significantly improves our travel experience.

I've just become the proud owner of an Avtex AV270TS27” Smart HD TV. What a superb TV, ideally suited to motorhomes and Caravans. The LCD screen is matt and non reflective and easily viewed from a wide angle. It also has Freely, so providing you have a good wireless internet connection there is access to most of the normal channels found on Freeview. Our previous model (named after a musical instrument) wasn't particularly sensitive on Freeview so this alone is a major improvement. The only slight let down is the audio quality but that's something we can live with. I also have the AMR994P 5G router which I thoroughly recommend. Simple to operate and very compact. Well done Avtex

Having tried many ways to connect to wi-fi I have found the AMR105X a very easy reliable and effective way to receive wi'fi and TV in my Motorhome. I am not an expert and just want the equipment to work. Well done Avtex.

All looks great quality, just about to start the install, will let you know how it goes.

I have purchased three TVs over the last ten years for use in my caravan, one very useful 14 inch and two 32 inch, the latest of which connects via aerial, satellite and WiFi. The WiFi connection is also provided an Avtex receiver/router which connects seamlessly and uses an unlimited data SIM card. Great products from this company.

Easy setup of Avtex AMR104X in motorhome
Having a TP Link TL-MR6400 router, it just wasn’t reliable, watching Prime videos it would keep freezing. Web searches too, seemed to take forever.

I was sure, in part, the aluminium frame of our motorhome was part to blame, but hours of searching for an external aerial (TP offered a “poke it out the window” solution), I never really knew if what I ordered would have the right connectors. Several were £200. A high price to have a slightly better set up.

Avtex did come up repeatedly in Facebook dialogues but it wasn’t until I got my hand on a brochure that clearly laid out the specific design for the outdoor market that the penny dropped.

I only wanted the entry level model, but, with a £19 discount from Premier Camping, for just another £50 I got a premium technical solution. This displays the signal strength, channel I’m on, capacity (gb) remaining and brand of SIM card.

Though competent, (and an ex electronic engineer- now 73) I always struggle to get things working.

I purchased a Smarty sim, recommended by caravaners and scanned the QR code. Not much happened after I perhaps typed my emil addresss and I tried again. It wasn’t having it and my annoyance rose. Having paid Smarty, most take up to 24 hours, it was sorted in a couple of minutes. I look at the display before starting to get annoyed, and there on the screen is Smarty, all set up and running. Wow! What an easy set up.

The next day, with temperatures in the 30’s, I started to tinker with installing it - not expecting to continue- and within a couple of hours I’d finished.

Really impressed.

Highs
Great bit of kit, easy to install, words in the user manual (you know. Not those silly pictures no one understands).
Feels quality. Further features and App to be studied. 2 Sim slots (typically UK, Europe), but I’m hoping I can select the best of 2 sims for UK according to signal strength.

Lows
Avtex supplied a free sim by Govio. Never heard of them. Really wanted to use it, but £22/month and restrictive stop start options. No idea who the network is, or if it searches between best signal. I paid £9/month for Smarty, and at that price, I’ll probably just run it all year.
The cable from the aerial, I made to work, but it was surprisingly short. Another 30cm would be better.
I have a 240V inverter, but had to use the “cigar lighter” 12V adapter cable. It’s adjacent and works fine. I wasn’t offered a 240 adapter, but a quick search showed a price of about £40. Way too much.
I got a brochure from a caravan dealer, where I went to buy and had seen a list of prices (not discounted). He didn’t stock and wouldn’t mail it to me (15 miles). He said it comes from Avtex. He lost the sale.
So; study the market, read the brochure (on line if necessary) and consider this model if your budget allows.

Good quality product. Worked straight away. Only problem is it should come with a mains to 12v adapter.

Straight out the box, plugged it in, followed the few simple steps and away it went. No repetitive tuning, no searching for signals.
Great picture, fills the screen so the 27” is 27” inches and not plus 2” of frame.
Sound is slightly tinny as expected so in reality a sound bar would be a good addition.

This is our second Avtex TV. The first one is still going strong and this new one is for our motorhome lounge area.Excellent service and quality as usual

Very efficient and easy transaction

Purchased our 21.5 a few weeks ago now and we are really impressed with the quality. Set up is 5 minute job including a few apps. The picture is sharp and the colours are vibrant, sound is better than expected from the built-in speaker, picked my phone wi-fi up fast.
Great value for money definitely highly recommend 👌 cant wait to go on holiday and test out in the field!
