Very fast delivery and well packaged and a good price. The Potentilla Arc-en-ciel I ordered came in excellent condition. Overall an excellent nursery to deal with and would highly recommend .

Their plants sent by DHL were late and the box was crushed. They didn't mark the parcel as plants, this way up, handle with care ....
1 of 8 the plants turned out to be just a fresh piece of root that had been just popped into a bit of compost.
They have addressed this with a refund but it wasn't very professional.

I can't but highly recommend Ballyrobert Gardens. I have had so many disappointments with online plant ordering recently I had all but given up. Then this place popped up.
I placed an order from their sale items, and was really pleased with the prices. Also the quality of what came was good, packaged with care, and the P&P was decent. I received my order on the morning of the fourth day. Which is great considering I have to wait usually 10 working days for other places.
I've now received my second order, and got the same great condition plants (not bare roots) same delivery time, and same no chance of damage to my plants packaging.
The other thing I love about this place is the selection they offer. Plenty of stuff I've not seen elsewhere, and their prices overall are very reasonable compared to my local garden centre, and many online ones.

Ordered just 3 plants. Very quick to dispatch the goods. I received 3 faily small but very sturdy plants ready for planting out, better to plant at this size because they establish quicker and grow away faster than root bound garden centre plants that just sit still for a season or more. They didn't even look like they had travelled anywhere! So first class for that. I cannot fault this company.

Absolutely love this company. The plants are always well packaged, arrive within days of being ordered. You always get the variety you ordered unlike with some larger companies,where you don't know it's wrong until it's in flower then it's a bit late. So it is a joy to order with confidence knowing that you won't have to remove the plants at a later date...so you don't have to worry 'cos everything's going to be alright. I also love the fact that this company has a sence of humour and when you order from them it makes you smile....and who doesn't like a packet of love hearts to jolly your day along.

I ordered four discounted hydrangeas from this lovely company, with the total coming in at under £20, so I wasn’t expecting too much—especially given my past experiences with larger gardening companies, which haven’t always been great. But I was genuinely impressed.

From the moment the box arrived, it was clear that real care and attention had gone into every part of the order. The plants were beautifully and thoughtfully packed—each one healthy, well-established, and carefully secured. Even the sticks supporting the pots were taped to the box to prevent any damage during transit.

Delivery was quick via Royal Mail, which made the experience even better.

What really stood out was the personal touch: a handwritten message from the person who packed the order, a printed Care Guide with clear and useful tips, and a separate bag containing the invoice—and even a few complimentary sweets, which was such a lovely surprise.

On top of that, the packaging was all eco-friendly—everything was either paper or compostable, which is a big plus for me.

It’s just a pity they’re so hard to find on Google, because this company truly deserves more visibility. They completely outshine the bigger names, and I’ll definitely be ordering again!

This is without doubt one of the very best plant suppliers I have ever used. I have a large garden and have bought from Ballyrobert Gardens many times. The quality of their plants is exceptional. The delivery is extremely quick and I live in Argyll. I cannot praise them enough, they obviously care about their customers. Love the information on the plants and the wee treat of Love hearts.

Loved the website, so went to visit on a flying trip to Northern Ireland, was so impressed, I went again and ordered some lovely, lovely plants that almost arrived back in the UK before I did. The package included a little surprise - so kind! Will definitely go back.

I ordered some allium Purple Sensation as I have ordered plants from them before and have never had a complaint - always been good plants and well packaged. However this time the plants I received were in an atrocious condition. Some of them were already rotting at the base of the stem and some of the leaves were already dying from the tips. Of the 10 plants I received 6 pots were split with the compost falling out. There was no indication on the box for "this way up" and were left on my doorstep upside down. I had some from another company which were top notch. I sent photos to Ballyrobert and was told to either package them up and return them which was impractical as I'm in my late 70's and do not drive or to rely on their plant guarantee. When I did plant them some of the bulbs were less than half an inch thick. I was disappointed mainly because I had been ill for most of last year and had been unable to do any gardening so was hoping to have some sort of display now but it certainly won't be with these plants. The other company's plants were excellent so I ordered another batch which again were in tip-top condition and packaged securely. Will not be ordering from Ballyrobert again - not even worth 1 star.

I've been visiting the Ballyrobert Gardens website occasionally for their nice plant descriptions and photos. Also, plants that they note to grow well for them will probably grow well for me too, so their recommendations are valuable.

I placed my first order with Ballyrobert Gardens early on Tuesday morning, and had the plants in my hands on Wednesday morning. My plant orders from two other garden shops, made at the same time, haven't even been despatched yet!

The plants were packed carefully and arrived without any damage. The little roll of sweets with the plant passports printout is a nice touch. I'm assuming it wasn't something meant for the plants, as I ate them while enjoying the first heavy rain in a couple of weeks :D

Ballyrobert Gardens will be first on my list for new plants. Hopefully there will be fewer of the dreaded plant variety called 'sold out' next time, though I can see why the site is a popular source of plants. I just need to time my order better.

I have had several orders from Ballyrobert, and with everyone the plants have been delivered in excellent condition. They are now my goto plants people.
