Damaged delivery due to poorly packaging

Received my order damaged due to poorly packaging. Reached out to Banak. They only communicatie through their online system, not by e-mail. I have no confidence they will solve the incident correctly. Luckily I bought this with creditcard insurance.

Unacceptable Customer service

Ordered TV unit in November online. Received in early January. Top piece needs replacement. Have contacted the help desk online multiple times. 8 weeks later no reply other than receipt of our message. No phone number. No email. Portuguese store in Lisbon says they can't access online orders. Hoping Banak reads this as it is unacceptable customer service. The furniture looks nice but you pay and don't have a product.

I ordered 2 bedside tables that I really really liked. It was well indicated that delivery would be 2 months. I accepted this since I liked the product. I received an email straight away after I placed my order telling me the estimated delivery time. After my order I’ve been in touch with the Banak to find out more details about my shipping and they got back to me the same day. In the end my order arrived one week earlier than what was estimated. I love my bedside tables. Good quality and they look exactly as the photos.

I want to give praise to Banak’s customer service, always friendly and very communicative. I also want to give them 5 stars for their beautiful products.

Misleading presentation of the product

The pictures of the products are misleading. You think you buy two units (ALL pictures on the website show 2 units, including the confirmation order), but you actually get only one. Of course the small prints say clearly that it is only one unit. But nevertheless, the marketing approach is (intentionally) misleading. I therefore had to buy a second unit, making the price not interesting at all.
Delivery in 10 days instead than in 48hours.
Quality of the furniture is not worth the price (not better than IKEA).

Defective furniture (4 TIMES IN A ROW)

We bought a piece of furniture in February and it was delivered to our house with lots of defects. After this first delivery, we complained and they said they would send us a new piece of furniture. I had to wait a month for the new piece to arrive with the inconvenience of not being able to use what I had at home, as the doors were defective and it was impossible to use it properly. When it was delivered, it was defective again. Both the assembly team and I complained and specified that it would be necessary to send other hinges since the most obvious defect was due to the doors hitting each other.
Photos were even sent by both myself and the assembly team identifying the hinges needed to solve the problem. We waited again and they sent a third piece of furniture with the same defects and without the hinges. I filed a third complaint, as I had to go and buy some hinges and assemble it myself, having paid 99€ for an assembly that was never decent given Banak's incompetence. I made a fourth complaint and the solution presented by the after-sales service was to refund 20% of the price, and they tried to fudge the price paid, saying that I had paid a much lower amount.
Not only have they never been considerate enough to solve the problem and always send faulty furniture, but they also try to deceive the customer about the price paid for the furniture. They made a new offer to return 20% of the value of the furniture in cash or 30% in voucher form. I made the counter-proposal of accepting the 30% in voucher, but given that I'm going to spend it in the store, I asked them to offer the value of the assembly on the next purchase, given that I paid 99€ and never got the furniture in good condition.
They continue to refuse even after all the inconvenience caused.
In short, they never solved the problem even after 3 consecutive complaints, I had to pay for some hinges out of my own pocket in addition to the amount I paid for the furniture and assemble everything myself when I paid for a 99€ assembly service and they still try to cheat me out of the amount I paid for the furniture when it comes time to submit a refund proposal.

Bad after-sales service!
They don't pay any attention to the customer even after all the complaints and the furniture always comes with defects.

I don't recommend them at all!

DO NOT BUY ONLINE HERE

I bought a sofa that would take a month to be delivered to mine. In only 2 days after i placed the order i realised it would not be a good fit for my home. I requested to cancel it and they showed me from their small writing that they do not take cancelations. I am sorry but CUSTOMERS HAVE RIGHTS at least everywhere in Europe. After insisting out of the blue without even asking they gave me a voucher with the total value of the sofa. It is a lot of money for a voucher when you dont need other furniture. This is again ILEGAL in most countries in Europe. And they do not have a working telephone number you can call to claim to! which is also ILEGAL. I am shocked with this shop. Do not buy online here

Manufacturing defect, extremely uncomfortable, and a year later still not fixed

I bought a sofa on their website after seeing other models in person in Barcelona, last year. I paid on September 30, and it was delivered December 4th--more than two months later. Ok, made to order--fine.

But, it was never comfortable. The center leg did not reach the ground and the sofa was 4cm shorter in the center than on the sides.

It took months of arguing with them by email because they will not provide any number for post-sales support, and finally on September 9 of 2021 they came to pick up the sofa to repair it. The wooden base in the center of the sofa was installed on the diagonal, so the center support foot was always crooked and constantly slipping, even after they'd come to replace it with a different, longer, more adjustable foot.

It's now been 49 days with their repair service. They told me I'd have my sofa back within 30 days of the pickup. The last two inquiries they've told me "15 more days"--twice.

The fabric on one of the base cushions also ripped, about an inch wide--no idea how. They refused to cover this under warranty and I had to spend about 90 eur buying a new cover. I paid for it on July 18th, they picked up a side cushion to match the fabric on July 30, and it's now 89 days later and I still don't have the cushion cover.

I would not in any way shape or form ever recommend Banak. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money on a better quality vendor, or literally even a 200 eur sofa from Ikea was more comfortable and less pain than what I've been through in the last year. Every time I even look at or think of the sofa it makes me angry.

Horrible service, late delivery, mediocre quality

I ordered a Nordic bench from Banak in July and was told that it would be delivered in early September. I received a notification that the bench was available for delivery on 4 September. They said they were having difficulty reaching the number I provided, and I told them (within an hour) that I had just resolved a phone issue. I also provided an alternative number. Yet no one called me to arrange delivery that day or the next or any of the ones that followed. I had paid Eur 40 (nearly 25% of the cost of the bench) for a scheduled delivery, meaning they would have to agree the delivery window with me. But in fact, I had to pursue Banak about delivery for two weeks. They kept telling me that their delivery partner would contact me, but at no point did they do so. Only when I left an angry voicemail at Banak did the store (not the delivery company) call me an offer me a delivery window - it was in the middle of my work day and did not suit me to be at home but given how late the item I was, I accepted to just end the matter. I finally received the item on 18 September, after the delivery company messed me around on the time. I feel I did not receive the delivery service as promised and requested a refund, which they refused stating that the item was delivered to the address. I remain confused as to why I bothered to pay a much higher delivery charge to get something conveniently when it caused me two weeks of hassle (after a very long wait for the item in the first place). The item itself is ok but there are two issues with it - there is visible glue on the exterior wood (sloppy construction) and the top of the bench just rests on the legs and is not secured in any way, which is not made clear in store or online. The assembly quality just does not seem great for such an expensive bench. The wood itself seems of good quality and the (separately sold) rattan cushion is very nice. However, I will not purchase from Banak again as the service was so dreadful.
