This is by far the worst banking experience I've ever had, and I've lived in multiple countries.
Stay away from this bank!
They first demanded I close my checking account without any explanation. After jumping through hoops to shut it down, I later discovered they hadn't actually closed it—just suspended it.
Fast forward two years: the branch calls saying my account has a negative balance. I explained it was closed two years prior, but they claimed I never filed a police report for a lost ATM card. How could that card even function at an ATM if the account was terminated?
Now I've received a registered formal letter of default demanding I pay up €94 in penalties, otherwise, I'll be placed on a credit watch list. This is highway robbery- Stay away!
