Hard to navigate around the site and they rely on deception. They state 'Billed £11.95 for one month' which is a deliberate deception as it meant, in fact, 'Billed £11.95 every month for ever more unless you get out of it'. Hard to cancel and they don't reply to emails.

This is a great app with real musicians, some ameatur, but a lot of seasoned pros.

Bandmix is a great site for introducing musicians and artists to other like-minded people - especially if you are a band looking for another member, or you are looking for a band to join. I've had nothing but great interaction with other BandMix members over the years. I would recommend BandMix to any musician.

Used it to find a guitarist. it took about 50 messages to people and 3 trials and we found one. Thanks . Good way to connect. Recommend only messaging musicians with the same genres listed as your music.

Both Scott’s from Knife Tricks were connected to Alex and Steve on this app. Highly recommend this app if you’re looking to join a band.

Works pretty much exactly how you'd expect it too, worth at least a month paid to try and find people, I recommend using you're real name somewhere and or some social media handles so people can better reach out to ya 🤘

Our band was in need of a drummer and we found him using this site. We did have to try a few candidates before running into Mark but BandMix got the job done.

As said by other contributors,bandmix continue to fraudulently take payment when you sign up for one month,even when you select the once off payment option it magically resets to a monthly subscription to which our heroes take no responsibility for,beyond useless service,dishonest

This is a great site for finding what you need. We were able to secure two new members for our band!

Signed up to the website, get frequent emails urging to join...which I don't want, I have clicked unsubscribe, written to them directly and had nothing back apart from...more emails asking me to subscribe. I dare not think what happens to those that have paid for a subscription and want to cancel...use FB instead.

Bandmix helped us a lot when looking for guitar and bass guitar players. It's worth the fees to have access to musicians. My only suggestion would be to allow some kind of rating system for musicians so that people looking don't end up with the really bad or flaky players.

If you're looking to meet musicians in your area....If you're looking for bands for hire....If you're looking to start a band....If you're wanting to expand your musical network, then you need BandMix. Captain Crooks. I turned off auto-renewal so that I would not be billed again, but they billed me anyway and took no responsibility for the intentional mishap. They can keep the money, I deleted my account. Fyi, this has happened to other people, Im not that special.

It was great.i found the caliber of musician's I was looking for.. I would suggest it to anyone looking to find high quality compatibility.. Thanks Bandmix

Unresponsive customer service ... wrote 3 times about a single issue and received nothing back.

Watch - if you have a premium status - they set your account to auto-renew.... if you want a refund - you may encounter unresponsive customer service as well

The bar for websites like this is obviously very, very low. So Bandmix gets at least one star for not being utterly hopeless like the others are. And another one for having some reasonable features. But ugh, the execution of those features...

For example, what's with the pathological lack of transparency? The silent banning of links and contact details in profiles (www./.html What?), the dead ends (I've been invited to a "virtual audition"! How do I contact them to arrange a time? Buy a sub to reply? Haha, yeah. No.). I was contemplating a sub until I got the impression that even if I got one I'd be tricked into paying more.

Then there's the generally weird navigation and features. Like 99% of all other websites let you edit your profile from your, er, profile page (usually linked to from a menu top right). But not Bandmix!

There's messages in a "Messages" area, but then there are invitations for auditions in another area (which appears not to have a link to it so you have to get there from your email). How about mystery features like "Add to your music list"? What does that do? "Event calendar"? Why? Would it kill them to explain stuff somewhere?

It's all so chaotic, weird and scammy feeling. Like it's made by a programmer who once had a drunken conversation with a musician and is now trying to recall what was said.

In short, Bandmix makes me feel angry. Not a good emotion to be having and I better stop typing now.

Bandmix recently made a renewed commitment to try to improve its service and this is already beginning to improve the site with removal of previous dormant? accounts and yield better outcomes for its users. But sadly questions still not answered by admin......
Also I get bandmix recommendations of other users based soley on my/their age not the kind of music played??? Whats with that?
Rules out most of jazz players then and connecting younger with older players with more gigging / recording experience.
Someone else mentioned fair pay (I paid) fair play platform but when I asked admin if my messages were being blocked after getting few replies they would give no answer.
Free bandmix does not allow nonplayers to upload audio - thats the main difference. But Premium account are not indicated as such so its a waste of time sending messages to people who cannot respond and whose accounts are left up. Ugh. It allows links. The audition function is a waste of time.

My experience was similar to other reviews. I was enrolled in autopay without it being made clear. The same day, I contacted customer service to ask for a refund (their policy under F.A.Q. is that you can receive a refund within 10 days if you don't use any premium features). Three emails with no response and I can't find a phone number anywhere, and it's been more than 10 days now. I disabled autopay, but I'm canceling my account out of fear that they'll keep charging me.

I gave two stars because I actually have made some good connections. But most of them were because people put their phone numbers or emails in their profile (which technically isn't even allowed).
