Steer well clear!!!

Absolutely shocking attitude from an institution supposed to be shaping our youngsters, if you have a different political opinion to them, you won’t be allowed to go here, but actually would you want to go here, reading the other reviews it sounds pretty awful, absolutely shocking and shameful

Morally Bankrupt…

Bangor University is a morally bankrupt institution that will go to extreme lengths to avoid accountability. They cut essential student support and academic jobs, while senior management pockets as much as possible from the University’s funds.

If you ever have a serious complaint, prepare to be ignored, deceived, or stonewalled. Bangor engages in deliberate misrepresentation, withholds evidence, and manipulates complaint processes to protect itself at all costs.

They also actively censor negative feedback online. If you post honest criticism on platforms like Twitter or The Student Room, they will hide your comments or get you banned—because The Student Room is funded by universities like Bangor to maintain their reputation.

If you’re considering Bangor University—don’t. Choose an institution that actually values its students, rather than one that treats them as a problem to silence.

A uni that assaults its students

Do NOT attend this university. They assault their own students and then try to get the assaulted students charged for assault for trying to protest peacefully. This happened recently to a student at a graduation ceremony and she was detained for 9 hours on top of this. What a disgusting place.

Supportive, Kind & Genuine Academics.

I studied at Bangor University between 2018-2020 within the School of Law. I found the community a very supportive one in which it would not have been possible to pass my degree without the kind and genuine staff within the School of Law.

It is a very small campus, so if you are looking for a traditional City lifestyle, then this may not be the place for you. However, if you want a university experience with the most extraordinary scenery, supportive academics and allowed the ability to flourish in your way, then I can highly recommended the Bangor experience.
