Excellen, friendly customer service and any enquiries were dealt with quick and effectively. I ordered a pair of Ralph Lauren Polo glasses online in the winter sale. I was a bit sceptical because they were considerable cheaper than all the other high street opticians but I am over the moon with my glasses. Delivery was also quick and free - I really can't recommend Barclay & Hurst enough!

We had trouble with our Sons glasses, his Prescription meant that he would have to have thick lenses in his glasses, which we worried about for our sons sake. Well we had no need, Mark offer us some really neat glasses that we were all delighted with. Not only that we got some great prescription swimming glasses afterwards. Since then the whole family now use Barclay and Hurst, along with the friendly, helpful and Knowledgeable staff I would recommend them to anyone. Well done.

I went to Barclay and Hurst on the recommendation of a friend. I was a little sceptical since I have always used large 'chain' opticians before, but I was taken aback by just how great they were. I had the most comfortable and thorough eye test I have ever had, which wasn't rushed in any way. Nothing was too much trouble. When it came to choosing my glasses, the staff were both helpful and knowledgeable, and encouraged me to try out styles that I wouldn't ordinarily have even looked at. The process was friendly and completely tailored to me. I ended up choosing a gorgeous pair of Tiffany & Co specs, which are the first ones in 20+ years of wearing glasses that I actually enjoy wearing! I'm going back for some sunglasses when the weather gets warmer. I can't recommend these guys highly enough and I'm never using a chain again!

I have been using Barclay and Hurst online as well as coming into the opticians for a number of years now. Since that time I have brought my whole family and mother to use their services. The reason for this is the brilliant level of service and professionalism afforded to me by Malcolm Hurst. This personal touch has now been backed up by a supremely efficient and reliably competitive website for frames. What I love about the service is that when I go for an eye test, for example, it isn't just the standard "look at the chart and read" service. He also checks and diagnoses my health by inspecting all the nuances in my eye. I always walk out feeling like I have had a full health check!! I would not hesitate to recommend Barclay and Hurst to anyone. They are a trusted family optician and I look forward to using them for years to come.

I have recently ordered prescription sunglasses and prescription swimming goggles for my 5 year old boy. The knowledge of the staff was brilliant and there was a large choice of glasses. My order was ready very quickly at a good price. All the staff were fantastic, great service, good knowledge and very friendly. Will definitely be using them again.

For years now I have been having my eyetests and buying my glasses from the local supermarket, thinking that everything was the same as far as an eye test and buying a frame went....how wrong I was. The service I received from (Mr Hurst as it turned out!) and his staff was exemplary from start to finish. They spent time checking my eyes thoroughly, then really went into detail on helping me choose the right frames. Nothing seemed like to much trouble. In the end I came out with some glasses and medicated sun glasses, both in quality frames, and I ended up paying less than I had two years earlier at the supermarket. I've ended up taking both my wife and my mum to them. I cannot recommend them enough!

I have recently purchased 2 pairs of glasses directly from Barclay and Hurst. It was my first time buying glasses and they were extremely helpful in advising me throughout the whole process. Also, to put the icing on the cake the frames I purchased were over half the price of the same ones in boots. Would 100% recommend!

I'm always sceptical when buying from a new website but I've got to say the service was outstanding from start to finish. The product was perfect as well. Definitely recommend.
