I ordered shoes for my wedding party and one pair arrived incorrectly – the box was marked as a size 9, but the shoes inside were a size 11. Mistakes can happen, but what’s really disappointing is the way the company has handled it.

Instead of sending the correct size as a replacement, I’ve been told I have to return the wrong shoes, wait for a refund, and then place a completely new order – at full price, since the discount code I originally used no longer works. This was their mistake, yet I’m being left out of pocket and having to waste time chasing a solution with my wedding just around the corner.

A company should take responsibility for errors and resolve them quickly, especially when time-sensitive occasions are involved. Sadly, this experience has been stressful and very poor from a customer service perspective.

Had a very pleasant experience after ordering with Base London and after thinking I wouldn’t be able to get any help, the team went above and beyond and were very understanding of the situation I was in.

Have a pair of chelsea boots 3 months, wore them for work only and very minimal steps, sole already coming apart, sent email to the customer service, no answer, then the sole completely came off, so sent another email . No reply for either, shocking quality shocking customer service.

I've tried to verify that they have secure data protection measures in place but they refuse to confirm this.

When asked if data is shared with third parties to be further shared and sold they refuse to say this isn't happening.

They are happy for me to close my account and to delete my data however will not confirm that they do not share there entire customer database with Shopify to be sold on and shared at will.

It's a simple request but they refuse to confirm that they have data privacy systems in place and refuse to allow customers to block there data from being sold and shared.

I would be happy for them to refute this here, I would apologies and remove this review, but that likely won't happen as it appears to be part of there current marketing policies.

Opening an account here is like giving away your personal data. Don't risk it guys.

Shoes were bad quility and 2 months later after returning they send me a refund of £0. I am still waiting to be refunded my money

Brought a pair of shoes bout a month ago . Wore them 4 time then they started to full apart. Sole started to peel away . Rung the company no answer emails to the customer service. No reply. Shocking quality shocking service won't be using again

Excellent shoes. Had a couple of pairs over the years, they are well made, look stylish and good value.

I bought a pair of shoes from Base London and I’ve been blown away by the quality. The shoes are incredibly comfortable — perfect for someone like me who works in a corporate environment and commutes by train regularly. No leg pain, soreness, or discomfort at all, even after long days.

Their delivery was impressively fast and the packaging was top-notch. I was so impressed that I just went back and bought two more pairs during their current sale.

Shoes I bought where good for my bin. Bin was very happy, so was I, as this what I bought is good for morgues, when they dress nicely people ready to depart this world. Horrible, horrible, low quality.

At first I was hesitant because of my size foot, 12 and wide fitting, I emailed Base and they responded saying order a 12 and if it doesn't fit returns are free. So I did. The boots I bought were Dealer Burnished Brogue Boots Tan. The quality is amazing for the price. Boots are a great fit. Tight but that's because the leather is high leather, very tough which means will last ages if looked after properly. All I'm beautiful, sturdy and feel and look absolutely gorgeous.

Yet to receive my order but cannot make contact with anyone at Base London. The phone says nobody's available to help so call back. Sent an email and have had no reply. My issue is I paid for a 1-2 day delivery but 2 days later I get an SMS from DHL notifying me of delivery 5 days after I placed the order. Can't get hold of anyone to help sort it out. Never deal with them again!!

Horrible experience with this company. Do not order from them. Zero support from customer service. No way of contacting them.

Recently purchased a Sparrow pull up toe cap boot in size 5.
I really love the quality, delivery was only 3 days. Until I received my order the kept me well updated about the parcel.
The boots feels like it was made for me. Very comfortable.
Highly recommended!

A great company to deal with, excellent shoes, and very speedy delivery. I have bought a number of pairs of shoes from them, and they have all been well made.

I'll give them 2 stars.
Shoes arrived but had a scratch on them. Emailed them with photo of scratch.
Asked them to send a new pair of shoes and they could collect these when arrived, but they didn't want to do that, went back and fourth emailing which took them an age to respond to my questions.
This took them so long I had to keep the shoes as the wedding I'm attending is this week, giving me no time to sort another pair out as they have taken over a week to reply from my first email to the last email.
Eventually gave me a 20% refund, bare in mind these would be at least half price if they were to be in a sale, thats if someone would even buy them with a scratch?
Shoes would of been fine otherthan the scratch.
My advice is steer clear, as their customer service is shocking.

I've been a size 8 for years an allways liked Base Shoes. The last pair I bought in January absolutely cripple me and are obviously sized wrong. After contacting Base to ask if this could be the case and had anyone else has same issue. I've had no response what so ever not even an acknowledgement. Not good enough Base for a respected UK brand.

Shipping out of product was relatively speedy.

Inconsistent sizing, I have been buying Base products for years but normally out of a shop, bought a pair of mens Clifton boots which I loved and if they were not discontinued I would of bought another pair and even tried getting them repaired. So I then bought a pair of Kramer boots which the sizing is so different, put the boots up together and they are so noticeably smaller, Great product but buy from a shop not online.
