The clean air zone scam.
Let me make it clear that the Council and those they liaise with in government no more care about your health than you do about theirs They use pollution as an excuse to extort money of you .Nitrous oxides or not you will grow old and die.
The clean air zone is a joke. You have to pay a charge to enter it,so how does paying to enter it ,make the air cleaner.?
Unless they are trying to put certain vehicles off entering the city by fining them??Well that doesn't work.....if you must go somewhere you go,penalty charge or not.
These stupid schemes are thought up by stupid people who are in Government!!!!!.....and I was under the impression that government employees were educated people who make decisions that benefit us all.
The council wrote to me explaining the dire effects of Nitrous oxides in the air......as if I didn't know. These gases drift randomly through the atmosphere and will enter your clean air zone from a NON clean air zone ............can't you see that??
£120 clean emissions… scam, for unknowing drivers
Just picked up a £120 clean emissions fine from Bath Council passing through the city in the evening on route back from wales, Had absolutely no idea there was a clean emissions zone in bath, Offers a reduction to £60 if paid within 14days, no phone number to discuss the fine. If you dispute the fine and the reason is not valid, they will hit you with the full £120 fine, Check mate... Also doesn't list valid reasons for disputing the fine. Thanks Bath council... Impressive scam. Would be nice to receive a first time offence warning to create awareness to drivers passing through the area for the first time since the clean emissions zone was created. Then a fine would be perfectly expectable for second time offenders
Absolute joke of a city
Absolute joke of a city. Passed through it one evening, not knowing there was a 'clean air zone' and have been given a £120 penalty charge because I "didn't pay". HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY A CHARGE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!?
I own a Business
I own a Business, I was called into Bath, I went onto their site to book my vehicle in, I completed the form and got to the payment section, I put in my card details after the page disappeared and thought the payment had gone through, so I made the trip no knowing that there was a fault with the system.
I then received a penalty noticed, so I appealed it, today 29th June 2022, I got another letter saying I now owe £189.00.
There is no way of contacting them by either Phone or Letter and they DO NOT answer emails.
This is ENTRAPMENT, the system is not fair and totally ILLEAGAL.
I will never travel to the City of Bath ever again, BANES Council you are Guilty of Fraud and Embezzlement, I will pay, but then I will take you to Court and notify the press including TV News Stations.
Offensive and useless
In recent years I have had to contact BANES over a couple of matters. Both times I get the feeling I am dealing with someone who was bullied at school and now spend the rest of their sad lives trying to get even with everyone. Very unprofessional and would not be employed by a competent company. Pathetic, sad, useless. Nothing more needs saying.
I will never spend a penny in Bath…
I will never spend a penny in Bath again! They have sent me a clean air fine for £120. I drove my van home from Bristol going through bath,a trip that I have done lots of times but not for a while. I did not know Bath had a clean air zone and I did not see any signs for it I did not know I had to pay! I would of avoided this route if I knew about it. There is absolutely no information to visitors about this. I have no choice to pay it but I will never spend a penny in Bath again in my life. Absolue scum bags
