The product it’s self looks of great quality and cut really will, due to the time of year and volume the communication wasn’t great, however due to the time of year! I ordered the item three months in advance and it only just came in time

Took some time to come but the strap is lovely. Just needs to be looked after and will keep for occasional wear!!

Baxter’s leather made a lovely Louis watch strap do me.
The leather smells and looks gorgeous and the strap is well made.
I had problems with the first strap but Samuel took it back and fixed it and I don’t take it off it’s perfect.
10/10 recommend

Looks great, metal work fit to waych left sharp edges and strap became unglued after first evening of wear, did not get wet. Not impressed

I’ve purchased from Baxtersleather twice now, and overall I appreciate the brand’s commitment to repurposing luxury materials like Louis Vuitton and Gucci into stylish Apple Watch straps. The concept is unique, eco-friendly, and gives a second life to high-end fashion pieces that would otherwise go to waste.

On my first purchase, I bought two straps — one for myself and one for my wife — both made from repurposed Louis Vuitton material. After verifying with a professional, I can confirm they were indeed authentic LV leather. However, there was an issue: the original bags had a soft plastic lining on the inside to help maintain their shape, which ended up being the part of the strap that touched my skin. This caused irritation and minor rashes.

To fix this, I had to take the straps to a leatherworker who sewed a thin layer of genuine leather on the inside — a solution I also shared with Baxtersleather.

This time around, I ordered a Gucci repurposed strap , and I was pleased to see that Baxtersleather had taken feedback into account. They had glued a thin layer of genuine leather on the inside of the strap to prevent direct contact with the original bag’s plastic backing — exactly what I had done manually before. It was clear that improvements were being made based on customer experience.

Unfortunately, the glue used to adhere this inner leather layer didn’t hold up well. After less than 10 hand washes and just three showers, the adhesive began to wear off. Now I’m once again facing the hassle of having to take the strap to a leatherworker to have the inner lining properly sewn in place.

Pros:

Inner plastic lining from original bags causes skin irritation
Glue used for inner leather layer doesn’t last long
Additional work required by customer to ensure comfort and durability
Final Thoughts:
Baxtersleather offers a great concept and shows a willingness to improve based on customer input. However, the adhesion method used for the inner leather layer needs to be more durable. Until that’s addressed, buyers may find themselves needing to invest extra time and money to get the straps properly modified for everyday use.

I hope Baxtersleather considers switching from glue to stitching or using a stronger, longer-lasting adhesive — it would make all the difference in the user experience.

Great quality and workmanship, just as described and photoed on the website. The look stunning and fit my Apple Watch perfectly.

I wanted a Louis Vuitton watch strap for my Apple Watch, but LV’s prices are just ridiculous, I found Baxter’s Leather and the whole idea just makes sense. He takes vintage luxury designer handbags and turns them into small leather goods, what’s not to love, I get a genuine handmade designer watch strap for a fraction of the price, and help to reduce waste. Customer care was great quick delivery and great packaging. Really happy with my purchase.
