Being former Bell Home Security…

Being former Bell Home Security customers, our complaint was not with Bell while they provided security ( Oct, 1924 to Oct. 1925). Customer service was good and they were quick to take care of any issues we had with our system. However, when they sold Bell Home Security to API Alarm, they sold thousands of contracts. They created numerous problems for us! API is a horrible company! No customer care or service! We have been forced to honour a 3 year agreement to the tune of $745.55. While we’re were able to end the service agreement, it cost us big time! And, in the meantime, Bell gets richer! Bell has a total disregard for their customers! If you are in the same situation or similar, contact the Better Business Bureau and Ontario Consumer Protection and file a complaint. Both companies should not be able to get away with this!

Great service from Bells

Engineer Gary came to check alarm system and security cameras under our maintenance contract Gary was a nice friendly obliging chap and left after everything had been checked to his satisfaction 👍

Do not use this company

Do not use this company, especially if you live in Essex & Herts. The owner is rude, arrogant and completely unhelpful in times of need. My alarm kept going off repeatedly 5am Sunday morning (even though it was left off for a month - waiting for Graham to attend), I tried calling the company landline and mobile leaving messages up to midday, but no one answered nor got back to me. The alarm then went off again 3am Monday morning, so our family has had little to no sleep for two nights.
When I messaged Graham again, stating I do not know how to stop the alarm going off, he sent me rude messages stating it wasn’t his fault!! What sort of response is this from a company, when all I was seeking was assistance, and none of my messages tried to lay blame. The owner obviously has severe issues.
No one got back to me for over 30 hours and all I got was a weird super rude response (from the only person who covers the whole of Essex!)
This company will not attend site any time other than 9am-3pm Monday to Friday and then after having waited for over a month for an appointment, that’s suited him, the owner cancelled and rearranged dates a further two times.
Appalling customer service with no consideration shown to its customers. I can only advise people to steer well clear of this company.
In response to Bell Security:-
1) Tamper fault was in conservatory - not kitchen (over a month ago) even though i told Graham this 5 times he can never remember
2) My wife works part time (not full time) and i asked for either 8am or after 3pm appointment any day of the week - which you were not willing to do!
Alarm companies should have a 24 hour emergency helpline by their very nature.
3) We agreed a charge out fee was going to be paid - so Bell Security is simply lying just to try and discredit me
4) Graham cancelled my bookings twice before the incident at the weekend - even though we had already waited 4 weeks
5) Your customer service is appalling and rather than help rectify an issue you rang me up saying it was our fault!

Mr Turner,s alarm was absolutely fine until his kitchen fitter decided to damage the detector and cause the alarm fault , we tried several times to make appointments but Mr turner said he and his wife work full time , so they expected us to attend out of hours for no charge to fix a fault that was not our fault !
Then when the alarm starts to cause an issue expects us to drop everything and just run to him as it now suits him !

We have over 10,000 happy customers many for more than 30 years but there will always be a Mr Turner out there that thinks he,s the only customer we have and he,s more important than everybody else , you know the type !
I strongly advise all other alarm companies to avoid Mr Turner as he is one of those who is never going to be happy no matter what you try to do to help !

We are glad to see the back of Mr turner ( a major keyboard warrior ) we explained we have tried several times to accommodate his requests but like I say some people are never happy !

We will be contacting all local companies in the area to warn them off and avoid them waiting there time for nothing as well !

We continue to serve our better customers ( 10 thousand +) in London Essex and Hertfordshire with our 15 strong engineers base and unrivaled 24 hour customer support
