Picture showed I ordered a kilt and a sporran. Only received the kilt. When I asked about the ordered I was given an email by the director explaining how a kilt should look. I know how a kilt should look... He gave me no appology. No help at all. I will not be ordereding from them again. I had to dry clean the kilt as well. It smelled terrible.

Once upon a time three stooges were looking to acquire kilts for themselves. The staff of best kilts helped out immensely and decked us out in the fibest of garments. Professional attitude, helpful service and quality goods. William would be proud.

The MacKeller tartan scarf I ordered was just what I was looking for. A beige, brown and light blue combination to wear with a brown leather jacket and faded blue jeans. Unfortunately, the product that arrived was actually a pale grey, not light blue. I double checked the image on the web site and the thumbnail that arrived with the confirmation email. Very clearly light blue. Very dissapointed by this but hopeful that the company will refund in full and pay return costs given that their images are totally misleading.
Update: a prompt reply from the company suggests that they have not had a chance to discuss alternatives. I did email them but had no response, hence resorting to a review. The message also invites me to return the scarf for a refund 'as instructed', which I take to mean at my expense on top of the roughly £5 I have already paid to receive it? Almost as much as the scarf itself. They also point out that the genuine tartan is in fact grey, not light blue. Not being an expert on clan tartans I, of course, base my judgement on what I see. So I once again refer to my review title. The images all show the complimentary colour to be light blue, not grey. As far as I am concerned I have been misled, hence I feel they should refund in full and pay return costs, too. I bought in good faith based on the displayed images. I invite others to form their own conclusion of the colour by searching for "MacKeller scarf" on their website. Dissapointed, now, by the attitude of the company. Top marks for customer service.
Update2: (Responding to a second response from the company) 'the display on my device is incorrect? Perhaps Apple would be interested in your views that their products have screens that display incorrectly. That is what you are suggesting. Rather lame. Pointing me to rival websites of the same tartan design: I bought from YOUR website and my choice was based on the images I saw on your website. Not your rivals. "one thing to keep in mind is that by what colours you described you received what you ordered." I ordered based on the colours shown in images on your web site. They show a light blue background colour, not grey. Interestingly, within the product description of the scarf there is no reference to, about or confirming the colours. Just the image. I refer once again to my review heading and repeat that I feel cheated to receive a product whose colours do not match those shown on your website. You can resolve this very easily. Refund in full and provide prepaid return.

I cannot praise this company enough right now. I needed to order a new kilt for a wedding across the U.S. but didn't realize shipping would have it coming from Scotland and therefore arriving well after the wedding. A quick email and I was being helped with speedy shipping and top tier customer service. My kilt measurements and address were taken and an entire order was set up for me and ready to ship faster than the normal expedited shipping said it could. Not only did the kilt show up before I needed to leave, but it was also a very impressive product.
Five stars for product and customer service. I will continue to bring them my kilt business.

outstanding service we received when ordering a budget kilt on Thursday. I enquired as to whether next day delivery was available to which I received a prompt reply stating it was indeed. We ordered our kilt at around 12.30 and received it the nect day at 8.30am. I received an email in between ensuring me that the kilt had been packed and was awaiting collection by Royal Mail so felt reassured at all times that my kilt would arrive in time for my event. The kilt itself is of a perfectly acceptable standard for the modest price paid.
