They promised to deliver the book within 3 to 4 days. We ordered it on 26/3 and all we got is a message that delivery is “ in preparation” ! No other communication, really a pitty. Great books, very bad delivery and communication!!!!

Placed an order for £2,256 worth of books in April 2024 and still have not received my goods - nearly 12 months later!
I have been emailing ‘Wim’ for the last 12 months to chase and chase and have been told every time they will send tracking number with ‘BPost’ and I have never received this. How is it acceptable to take my money and not deliver the goods? Utterly shocking. I will be taking legal action against this company.

Appalling. 3 weeks and still waiting. Had to raise a dispute with my bank. Tracking number promised and not sent. Follow up email went unanswered. I’ve had mail delivered to the UK quicker from New Zealand and the Tibetan Plateau. Avoid at all costs. Having to source the book elsewhere and spend my Saturday morning on the phone to my bank to resolve things.

Dear Beta Plus: Firstly, the book was showing as ‘in stock’ when I ordered it. There was nothing to suggest it was on back order. Secondly, I have checked my junk mail and inbox and the last communication I had from you is as follows on 28th May:

Dear Client,
thank you for your order. We will send tracking from BPost today.

So two questions immediately spring to mind: How could you send tracking for an item you didn’t have in stock? To whom did you address the several emails you claim to have sent regarding the delay because they certainly were not sent to me.

Lastly, I have yet to be informed by my bank of an incoming refund, so I will come back to you if it isn’t advised.

Perhaps you should specialise trading in fairy stories only?

I have had the same experience with Beta Plus - placed an order in October for over $500 and I have yet to receive a book - "it is stuck in customs" "we will send again with tracking information" "it will be there next week and if not we will refund" - no books and no refund.

We are an architecture firm, FABIO FANTOLINO, a renowned company that has been scammed by BETA-PLUS.

More than a year ago, we made the fatal mistake by purchasing numerous copies of their publication, "EXCLUSIVE LIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS", where our prestigious architectural project was to be presented.

After paying a considerable amount of money, what did we get in return? Absolutely nothing! Not a single book has crossed our threshold. And so began the incessant bombardment of emails, the constant hassle for updates, just to be satisfied with empty promises and unnecessary guarantees.

They teased us with the ability to reprint and send us back, urging us to exercise further patience, all while spinning refund stories.

Not a penny has returned to our coffers. It is a clear case of fraud.
Beta-Plus made us feel robbed, leaving us empty-handed.

False answers here too.

Consider this a warning to all those who dare venture into the murky waters of Beta-Plus: do not fall into their lure of exclusive publications and great promises.

In conclusion, share all these problems. Do not buy anything from Beta-Plus under any circumstances. Stay away or you risk becoming the next unlucky victim.

We are ready to review BETA-PLUS negatively every day.

Now we move on to legal proceedings, even if a lawyer should cost us more than the initial cost of lost books.

Has anyone else ordered books online and not received them? I have sent numerous queries and had replies promising a delivery.
I ordered 3 books in November last year, and they have still not arrived, despite being told they would arrive 2 days ago…
Beautiful books, but the b……. is hard to understand…

Ordered a book on 25/2. Thought it was odd that there was no notification of shipping after a week. Checked with them via email - was informed that they're waiting for the book's shipment 'next week'.

2 weeks later (note that it's now 3 weeks after placement of order), I follow up with an email requesting tracking details - was told they will send me tracking details 'tomorrow'.

It's now 3 days since 'tomorrow' and I can only conclude that I am now the latest victim to this scam business.

Wish I had searched them online before placing an order. I didn't spend that much but it makes me furious that they are allowed to get away with such dishonest behaviour.

Have initiated small claims proceedings but it'll be tough for an international transaction.

I strongly urge all victims to reach out to the biggest book retailers out there to inform them of their practice and to encourage them to delist both the individual (Wim Pauwels) as well as the publishing house from their inventory.

We can also publicly shame them on their Instagram @betapluspublishing but I have no doubt their strategy will be to just block and delete comments. Still worth a shot.

Don't let scammers get away for free!

We have bought numerous book stands to the tune of over 2000€ and have never received anything.

They have a fantastic response system whereby every email one writes they respond very nicely saying that the goods will arrive or a refund will be made. I see that even on Trust Pilot they respond the same way.
