Beware of electrically operated integral blinds
I installed 6 bifold doors with hard wired electrically operated (with remote control) integral blinds in 2018, 2 months ago, 1 unit failed and the whole unit needed replacing as they are only guaranteed for 2 years. Given the cost of these units and the fact that the whole unit needs to be replaced (no repairs are possible) a 2 year guarantee is nowhere near long enough - the magnetic integral blinds carry a 10 year guarantee which should be the case with the electric version. It shows the supplier doesn’t have the same level of confidence in the product! Since then I have had ANOTHER unit fail so will be stripping out all of them and replacing with plain glass units. Conceptually these are a good product, but in reality they SHOULD BE AVOIDED as the guarantee/warranty period is so poor - they are not cheap - £thousands not £hundreds. Buyer(s) beware.
