Amazing experience, wonderful places and wonderful people.

Organization was on spot, having the kitchen staff traveling with us was a great added value.

Alessio is THE tour guide to have in Africa, if you have the option to travel with him go, you will not be disappointed!!

I was my first experience with BHS but I will travel again with them for sure in the future.

This winter I travelled with BHS around Norway (Lofoten to be precise) between the 5-12 to the 11-12. When looking through the website and the offered trip the itinerary looked adventures and simply full of amazing trips.
The trip was booked six months before departure date, until today I never received my 1st payment confirmation. The communication prior travel was poor and one was left in the dark until the weekend before departure. Up until a day before flying I haven't received my boarding pass.
The layovers were reasonable but makes one wonder if and when the flights were booked.
With that being said our return flights were booked without luggage (although flight to Norway was booked with!) which caused that three people's luggage is still stranded in Oslo as I am writing this.

Throughout the trip it was very clear that some members of the group were more interested in solo travelling however the group plans were always adjusted to the needs of one individual at the time, which made it a very frustrating experience & it at times group members behaved beyond disrespectful towards others cultures with the excuse of "this is the Italian way".
Personally I spend a lot of extra money which I was not anticipating.
Of course I am always happy to spend money on extra requests but the common funds were used only on the dinners for the Italian Group as it was not explained to us properly.
Generally the communication within the group as well as the agency was so poorly and most of the time one had to ask multiple times to find out future plans, just to realize those were changed last minute due to individual preferences by others.
With all this said! The coordinator was a very kind & friendly person and made sure I was okay as she saw that I was not feeling satisfied with how the trip turned out to be. In case the coordinator ever parts with BHS I will 100% travel with that person again.

Norway 10/10. Stunning country with a landscape more beautiful than pictures can describe.

I travelled with BHS around Iceland’s Ring Road and West Fjords from 15 - 28 August, 2022. The itinerary was great and packed with magnificent places but, unfortunately, I was left unsatisfied with certain aspects of the trip organisation.

Firstly, the flights had long layovers that ate up two entire days. I booked with BHS instead of other travel companies thinking they would book the best flights well in advance. The fact that I already saw direct flights from Milan back in May suggests they organised the trip at the last minute.

Overall, the accommodation was fine but the ‘supplemento doppio’ for couples seemed a waste of money and I would advise against paying it.

Thirdly, I was deeply frustrated with the tardiness of some group members each morning. Not the fault of BHS, however, I think the coordinator could have done more to encourage everyone to be on time when others are waiting. When I expressed my concern to the coordinator, they responded: ‘They are Italians, they are on holiday, there is nothing I can do about it’. I was really disappointed to hear this. Not only was it unfair and disrespectful to others, but we could have at least tried to solve the issue rather than resort to tired stereotypes. The coordinator too began to arrive late in the morning halfway into the trip.

In addition to the schedule, I was also bemused at how much time was spent going to the supermarket. Perhaps more forward planning for lunches and dinners would have helped.

Iceland is a magical place, and I will definitely return, just not with BHS or any other organised trip.
