I used BGC to travel from Swansea to Cardiff for Metallica. Plenty of coaches supplied for departure, and all but one seemed modern (one looked very old, was rusty, I was pleased not to be on that one... See more

I used the Big Green Coach service to travel to Download as it was convenient and affordable but I will not be using the service again. I travelled to Download Festival on the Friday and could only enjoy 2 sets because of the 3-4 hour delay that was experienced. After emailing in to inform their customer service team and sort out compensation they only offered a refund on the outbound journey and after emailing back and forth a £15 credit towards a future journey. This is disgustingly assumptive and I am still waiting on my response since 25/06/26

Used lthe company to go to see TakeThat!
Coach was early ( which was great as we were not stood waiting!). After concert the coach was there waiting, with people ensuring we all got on the correct coaches!!
Great service which I would recommend and definitely use again!!

Excellent customer service in response to queries about our tickets to Pulp in August. Asked if we could change our pick up location and this was dealt with really quickly and seamlessly for no extra charge. James dealt with this and married up two queries we had sent from different email addresses which was much appreciated. Thank you.

I'd just like to say a massive "Thanks" to our driver to Eddfest yesterday. We were on the Leicester to Knebworth coach. He was punctual, calm, happy, helpful and above all a very good driver. He honestly did you proud. Unfortunately, as people don't carry real money anymore we couldn't have a collection for him. Please pass on all of our thanks for just being great 🩷
A really good experience 👍

OID - DANGEROUS, UNHYGIENIC, RUDE DRIVERS, MASSIVELY DELAYED AND NO AIRCON
The journey fell significantly below any reasonable standard that passengers should expect from a professional coach operator. The issues encountered were not isolated incidents but a series of failures that caused considerable inconvenience, discomfort, and concern throughout the journey.
To begin with, the coach arrived late, because the drive insisted on having another 30 min break when he had just had a 30 min break 40 mins drive away, resulting in a delayed departure of 1.5hours and ultimately causing us to arrive late for a concert that we had specifically booked travel to attend. This had a direct impact on our plans and significantly diminished our overall experience.
The lack of available customer service was equally disappointing.
In addition, the coach’s air conditioning was not functioning. Given the duration of the journey and the number of passengers onboard, this created an extremely uncomfortable travelling environment.
Most concerning, however, was the conduct of the driver. The standard of driving throughout the journey was nothing short of dangerous! and frequently left passengers feeling uneasy. Furthermore, the driver’s behaviour was highly unprofessional. At one point, he was sleeping with his bare feet on the seat, which is wholly inappropriate for a member of staff responsible for transporting paying customers.
Of even greater concern were the apparent safety issues observed while the coach was in motion. The driver was using earphones and appeared to be manipulating or communicating through them using his hands and mouth whilst driving. Any activity that distracts a driver from maintaining full concentration on the road is unacceptable, particularly when responsible for the safety of a coach full of passengers. This behaviour raised serious concerns regarding passenger safety and should be investigated as a matter of urgency.
The combination of lateness, lack of customer support, inadequate vehicle conditions, poor driving standards, and the driver’s unprofessional and potentially unsafe conduct resulted in a wholly unacceptable experience. We entrusted your company with our transport arrangements and were let down at every stage.
I complained to BGC and they honestly don't care!
AVOID, THE DRIVER WAS SO DANGEROUS I CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU!
UPDATE....
YOUR GESTURE WAS 15 POUNDS OFF MY NEXT JOURNEY? Really???
No refund no composation, awful stressful experience..
THE COACH WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DRIVER HAVING TOO MANY 30 MINS BREAK, TRAFFIC WAS FINE! PLEASE READ YOUR EMAILS!
Awful customer service!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I booked return travel from Wolverhampton to Knebworth for EddFest. The coach made a long haul flight with Ryanair look comfortable; there were two seats on one side of the aisle and three on the other, meaning they were too narrow for anyone other than a 5ft 4in ballet dancer, so they were never going to work for middle-aged metal fans. This was a decision clearly motivated by profit rather than passenger comfort!
Having suffered the discomfort of the journey to Knebworth, it was then needlessly extended by at least an hour, because the driver chose to ignore the signage for event coach parking, instead allowing his sat nav to take us on a magical mystery tour of Knebworth village and the A1(M). If it hadn't been for a chorus of "Left" from the passengers as we approached a roundabout, he would have missed the sign again.
At one point, we were beginning to suspect that the actual coach driver was bound with duct tape in the baggage hold because this imposter fancied a day out driving a coach.
On the return journey, the driver announced that instead of going back to Wolverhampton, where 50% of the passengers had boarded, the bus would terminate at Dudley - the driver was disabused of this notion very quickly!
There was also a service station stop where all passengers were told it was five minutes only to go to the toilet, no queuing for food or drinks, only for the driver to return 15 minutes later and inform everybody that his coffee was nearly ready.
How much of this was down to the Big Green Coach Company and how much was the fault of the coach company itself, I am unsure, but surely BGC is responsible for their sub-contractors, in which case I would advise them never to use this company again.

I used the big green coach to travel to Wembley to watch MCR! It was so easy to book. The pick up points were clear. We were picked up on time and arrived with plenty of time to explore Wembley before the gig. The coach left Wembley after the gig, giving people time to get back to the coach without missing any of the concert. It was an easy trip home again and dropped us back at the agreed time and place. 5* I will use this service again. Excellent value for money and stress free travel. Thanks Guys!

Booked return travel for 1 costing 79.99 GBP from York. Had 2 tickets for a festival and a family member later wanted to join me. I tried to add another seat but the coach was reported, as full. Made, arrangements to travel from Bishop's Stortford for 2 costing 114.99 GBP. Tried to get a refund for the, York trip but was informed that the policy was 10 days before the event. Not very obliging especially as I had purchased further travel and received the, York sticker only 3 days before the gig. Try to find the cancellation info yourselfand it is there but in the, FAQ section and not very obvious. I also had purchased flexi at an extra 9.99 GBP. I feel the cancellation at 10 days, was not clear at the time of booking. Be warned. DK

Signage was poor. Air con was broken, and the vents for just air were barely working. Ceiling was very low so we hit our heads repeatedly when getting on and off. Toilet was tiny.
On the positives, it was only a little bit late leaving both times.

Although we never actually got to use the coach company because the concert we were going to was cancelled. I contacted the team as soon as I heard to see where we stood with a refund and had a really fast response explaining the refund was already processed snd would be in my account in 3-5 working day.
Fantastic service!

I went to Knebworth on 11th July for Iron Maiden. The drop off experience was perfectly fine, picked us up at the coach station, checked our tickets, and left on time. When we arrived at Knebworth they told us to meet back at the drop off location and told us our specific coach, they told us to take a photo to make sure we remember to get on that exact coach at the exact time the driver stated. Sounds perfectly planned. Absolute lies.
After the show, of course there was a lot of stress leaving the venue, that’s expected, there was about 80,000 people all leaving at the same time. While we did get lost, asking multiple staff members where to go and getting the wrong directions (not the fault of big green coach, that’s at the fault of us poorly communicating and the staff members of the venue not seeming very sure of where they were telling us to go). We did manage to get to the coach with 25 minutes to spare, we found the exact coach, matched with the number plate and specific number they gave us. A huge relief hit us as we thought we were going to be late since we got lost, we went up to the driver (the same one that dropped us off) only for him to say they were full up. I suspect people who were meant to leave earlier and get on an earlier coach decided to stay until the end of the show and get on a later coach, thus creating a huge domino effect that left us scrambling to find a coach that would take us to our location. This could’ve all been avoided if they had a better ticketing system with specific times, and didn’t allow people on who didn’t match the ticket.
I work in customer service and I have handled situations with massive crowds scrambling. I know it’s not the staff members or the volunteers at fault, it’s the higher ups, telling the staff members to take as many customers as they can whether they have a ticket or not. Considering we paid £50 total for a return ticket, we expect to get on the same coach and leave at the allocated time they promise us.
I do want to thank a staff member in an orange vest who was helping people get onto a different coach, there ended up being about 15 of us who were all in the same situation. This staff member gathered us, went to every coach going to the location we wanted and asked if they were all full, he seemed rather stressed out (no blame to him or any of the staff members in orange vests, like I said, it’s the higher ups).
All the coaches ended up being full except for one that was leaving at 1am (our original coach was leaving at 23:30) not ideal, but it was our only option, so we all got on. There was someone in our group who wouldn’t stop complaining to both the staff member helping us and the driver, it’s not their fault at all, they’ve been put into a horrible situation with no organization done by both the general public creating a domino effect and the higher ups most likely telling them to take everyone that gets on, regardless of whether they’re on the right coach or not.
The coach we got put on did thankfully leave at 23:30 and got us back to the coach station promptly. I can’t thank the driver enough for saving our night. Same goes for the staff member who helped us find a coach that would take us to the coach station, I wish I got their names. It was at 23:25ish on 11/07/26 finding coaches to London Victoria.
Overall, the staff members were actually helpful and friendly given the situation they were put in. There needs to be proper ticket checking protocols in place to avoid situations like this happening on the future, they effectively stranded us in the middle of nowhere, our phones were dying with no way of charging them, we aren’t originally from London so we had no idea how to get back without these coaches.
I blame the managers and higher ups not enforcing ticket checking protocols and just letting anyone on regardless.
Very stressful and scary situation, especially for two women at night after a festival where most people are drunk. I would definitely think twice before using a coach again, especially the big green coach.

Used BGC on Saturday for Iron Maiden at Knebworth. Pick up was ok and on time. Upon arriving we disembarked near arena entrance and driver said return would be in line 6. All good!
Well no it wasn't, after show we couldn't find coach, BGC staff we're useless and clearly hadn't got a clue what was going on and we're out of their depths. We found out our coach had gone to Dover and a replacement hadn't turned up. We got on another coach we hadn't arrived on. The driver then told us the toilet was out of order, absolute joke after a day in the sun. Fortunately the driver stopped at services to allow people off to use services, frankly he had to, we had been on coach over 2½ hours by this stage and we was still over an 1½ hours from drop off. I used BGC for Finsbury Park 8 years back, same dreadful experience then too. Never again, I'd seriously avoid this service.
**Please note the reply by BGC is infactual, I DID NOT find my coach, it was stressful as the coach we arrived on had been sent to Dover then on to Germany, we got on a coach that we didnt arrive on, something we were told we couldn't do. AVOID!

Waited over one hour to take shuttle bus from Stevenage to Knebworth. Once on board it took another hour to get there after it went a random long route (we had been told it would take 20 minutes). Very hot day, no air con, would have been quicker to walk which we would have done if false information hasn't been given out.
Had a coach booked from Knebworth to Victoria after event for 11.30pm. Very chaotic finding the right coach, staff giving wrong directions. Finally found the coach only to be told they were full so they obviously hadn't checked tickets. After being sent to various buses that were also full we finally got told to get on a bus leaving at midnight, half hour later than we had booked for. Extremely disorganised and staff were pretty clueless once we actually found them.

Awful experience travelling to Knebworth from High Wycombe for Eddfest. Booking reference BGC6806211 and BGC6806213. Coach was 40 minutes late and not all passengers could board as wasn’t the original coach. My son and I managed to get seats but the air conditioning didn’t work. Journey was awful with temperatures in the coach starting at 34 degree and reaching 38 degrees for the last hour of the journey which was spent driving around lanes from incorrect drop off zone to incorrect drop off zone. Driver did his best under very difficult circumstances which is the only reason I award 1 star. We were eventually dropped off in a lane about a mile from the bus park. On return the stewards had no idea where our bus was even though we explained the situation of not having a bus number, no idea where it was parked etc. We eventually found the bus by pure chance as it was replacement with no destination label on display in the window. We recognised the same young driver who was organising things. Journey home was slow and we didn’t depart until way after scheduled 1130pm slot but at least we got back, I fear others might not have. Will never use this company again. I note looking at recent reviews they are quick to respond to positive reviews but haven’t reached out to any of the users who have had a poor experience which is a shame.

Worst experience of travel; late collection, highly unorganised schedule, no air con in 32 degree heat during a shambolic 6 hour journey, rancid overflowing toilet facilities, customer service hung up twice after coach driver abandoned the coach in a narrow country lane forcing passengers to continue on foot for over 2 miles without any idea where to find the return coach! Staff with clipboards on return were completely clueless and cut off by customer service yet again! This company should be avoided at all cost! Iron maiden Gloucester-Knebworth 11/07/2026 In reply to the BigGreenCoach response I have reached out to the customer services and am still awaiting a reply after being fobbed off! Credit Card company contacted and advise being taken, please feel free to respond! This is basically a sub-contracting company that hires the cheapest buses to maximise profits and hires cheap labour to administrate the processes without any care, customer service or afterthought. I would be surprised if this unsafe and unethical business model survives! 3.4 and falling should tell you all you need to know .

I travelled with this company yesterday to see My Chemical Romance at Wembley, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
We were picked up from Moto Services Bridgwater around 20 minutes late. A journey that should normally take around 2 hours and 40 minutes ended up taking approximately 6 hours.
The coach had no noticeable air conditioning, and the windows didn't appear to open, making the journey extremely uncomfortable in the 33°C heat. On the return journey, the driver said, "I've opened the windows and put the air conditioning on," which left me wondering why this hadn't been done on the journey to Wembley.
As someone travelling alone, I was also told I was "sad" because I was travelling solo, which I found unnecessary and unprofessional.
The journey home took around 4½ hours, including a 30-minute stop at services just 15 minutes from our scheduled drop-off point. We were then told we would be dropped outside the services instead to save 30 minutes. As a woman travelling alone, being left to walk alongside a busy main road back to my car did not feel safe or appropriate.
I chose to travel by coach because I believed it would be a safer and more comfortable option for a solo female traveller. Sadly, this experience did not meet those expectations, and I won't be booking with this company again.
I also felt sorry for the passengers continuing on to Plymouth, especially after hearing there were concerns that the drivers might run out of their permitted driving hours. I sincerely hope everyone made it home safely.

We travelled to Wembley on 20th June 2026 using the Big Green Coach services for the very first time. I just wanted to recognise the excellent customer service we received from your two drivers Stephen and Gareth. These two drivers are a real asset to your business, they were polite, and professional.
You could tell they loved their job and bounced off of each other, what a fun duo. They really made the experience, ensuring everyone's journey was comfortable and making every single one of us feel welcome.
Please ensure that this is passed to their bosses in Wales so they can both get the recognition they so deserve.

This company is run by clowns. Edd fest I waited 2 hours for a bus which is supposed to take us 2 miles to the venue. Apparently stuck in traffic but the reality is they only have a few busses on the route but the queue of people at Stevenage is over 400 waiting to board a bus 50 at a time. 8 pounds to take you 2 miles but a wait over 2 hours. Absolute jokers. Any business trying to hire these clowns your reputation is also on the line. Be warned. Also they don't do refunds you have to do so from the festival which will take a month if I actually get one.

I went to BTS at Tottenham Stadium for 2 nights and travelled with big green coach with both days. Was nervous about using this company as there are very mixed reviews and experiences. However! I would recommend them and use them again in the future. The coach parked conveniently right next to the venue; we didn’t have to fight the crowd for the tubes/shuttle buses on the way out. The second night we were faced with M1 night closures so was hugely delayed to get back to Coventry. Our driver Cormac was brilliant, patient and informative throughout the journey. Even apologised for the delay when it was not his fault there was roadworks! The coaches used had a fully working air con - it was so cold that someone said put the heating on!! A couple of downsides, we weren’t able to leave earlier than the time they set even if everyone was back on the coach; you don’t know what other stops there are along the way until you’re on the coach.

Had a horrible experience this week traveling to Wembley from Plymouth and back for MCR 8th July.
On the hottest day of the year our bus arrived with broken aircon. We made several stops to collect more people and we're soon all sweltering on an airless full bus in 34 degree heat.
The staff were friendly and professional.
But it's hard to believe they'd been able to set off in a vehicle without aircon. Also they promised to park undercover so the bus would cool for the return leg. However they parked in full sun and the bus was like a sauna on our return. Our journey was uncomfortable and scary (I have a heart condition) and we arrived at the venue exhausted and like limp lettuce.
