Disappointed boo hoo

Was so happy when my husband gave me this 2 seater kayak for my birthday 3 years ago but so disappointed that after very little use over the 3 summers the strap on the front seat tore off when it was used for maybe the 5th time as I kayak on my own most of the time. A new strap was purchased which tore immediately like one tears a piece of paper then the back seat strap tore too. The company claimed it was the hot sun making the strap deteriorate but why did the new one tear without sun exposure? Customer service was unhelpful and pretty much told us "tough luck". Shame they didnt care
