Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. Staff with no knowledge of the motor trade, basics such as insurance and tax. Mis sell you warranty, whatever you do, DO NOT buy extended warranty with them as they do everything to get out of it. False promises from start to finish, they take no responsibility once you have taken the car away. Stay away if you want a car that’s supported with a good dealer because Big Motoring World is horrendous.

I could not warn you more to avoid…

I could not warn you more to avoid buying from this garage. I purchased a vehicle on the basis of same/next day collection. After leaving the dealership, was rung to be told work needed to be done and this was pushed back. I then rung to chase a revised collection date and was advised that no-one had yet looked at the vehicle and no issue has yet been identified. Very poor service and had to chase the team for updates throughout. I cancelled the sale a week after paying due to inconsistent information being given to me which caused me to loose all confidence as a buyer. Throughout this, further issues were found with the vehicle and the sales director Paul retracted his offer to compensate my insurance as I cancelled the sale. I am now out of pocket as I paid for insurance on a vehicle which was not fit for sale in the first place. Paul also failed to call me despite his word he would on numerous occasions.
Highly disappointed with all aspects of this service.

Very disappointing customer service and poor communication

I went to the dealership on Thursday to view a car and put down a £3,000 deposit for a car,I dealt with Kasim for the sale who was initially very pleasant. We arranged to collect the car on Friday, but during the visit we noticed that one of the tyres appeared to be very low on air. We raised this with the dealership and were assured that it would be sorted before collection.

As my insurance company is only open 9am–5pm, I had to change my insurance to the new car via live chat before 5pm in order to be able to collect it. When we arrived, however, the tyre was nearly completely flat.

Kasim told us that he had put air in the tyre at around 8pm the previous evening and that it was fine. He also claimed that he had driven the car for a few hours to make sure everything was okay, despite the dealership closing at 9pm. Pure lies

We were then told that they couldn’t fix the tyre because there was no technician available and they finished at 5 but other sales people said different times so unsure and that our decision to change the insurance was essentially our own problem. This was incredibly frustrating given that we had already paid a £3,000 deposit and had no realistic choice but to arrange the insurance in advance if we wanted to collect the car at any given date,

We asked to speak to the manager, who offered a £25 goodwill gesture and said there was only so much they could do. We were assured that the car would be made a priority first thing the following morning and that changing the tyre would take around 20 minutes.

The dealership opened at 8:30am, so we called at 10am for an update, but there was still no progress update. At around 11am we were told that the tyre was finally being changed. We arrived at 1pm and found that the car had been completed, but nobody had contacted us to let us know it was ready.

We then had to sit around for around an hour before anyone properly acknowledged us. Kasim walked past us and completely ignored us. When we approached him to ask what was happening, he said it was nothing to do with him and questioned why we had approached him, despite him being the salesman who had sold us the car.

Once the sale had gone through, his attitude completely changed. He was rude, dismissive and seemed to want nothing to do with the situation, despite us being left in a very stressful position because of an issue that should have been resolved before collection.

I do want to mention that the handover member of staff was lovely, apologetic and genuinely tried to make us feel at ease. He checked the car and was much more understanding of the situation, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, the overall customer service was extremely disappointing. The tyre issue should have been identified and resolved before we arrived to collect the car, and the communication throughout the process was poor. Being left waiting without updates and then being dismissed by the salesman made an already stressful situation much worse.

Based on this experience, I would not return to this dealership or recommend it to others. Buying a car should not involve having to chase the dealership for basic communication or feel as though you’re a nuisance once the sale has been completed.

I also do not appreciate your chatgpt responses working in customer service myself it is very easy to tell😂

Hi Abbey,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re sorry that what should have been an exciting collection was made unnecessarily stressful by the tyre issue and the communication that followed.

We understand your frustration, particularly as you had raised the tyre concern before collection and made arrangements with your insurer based on the agreed collection date.

We’re also sorry that you were left waiting for updates, were not contacted when the vehicle was ready and felt dismissed when you approached the salesperson. That is not the level of customer service we expect from the team and this will be raised to Leeds Mnagement team for internal review.

We are, however, pleased to hear that the member of staff who handled your eventual handover was helpful and apologetic. We’ll make sure that positive feedback is recognised alongside the concerns you have raised.

We’re sorry that this experience has left you feeling unable to recommend the dealership, and we appreciate you bringing the issues to our attention.

Kindest Regards,

**BEWARE** Read before visiting

**BEWARE**
We arrived at 9.45am on 20th Aug 26 after putting a deposit down on a car. James was our salesperson and everything was good as he showed us the car had a test drive etc. Then we got to the paperwork and the figures and things went downhill. (We had previously visited on 16th Aug26 and a different salesperson had explained that there was a leeway of £2k when P/E your old car which we understood as they cover that as that is how it was explained it after we questioned it. The other thing he told us was you could not have 2 car loans at time in one name which proved to be incorrect)
Back to James when we discussed the P/E the £2k leeway meant that this is added to the new car which inflates the payments to an extra £100 approx. We discussed warranty which was overpriced and we decided we could do without it. At this point James attitude towards us changed and he challenged us regarding the warranty and became pushy asking us to reconsider. We didnt so this was the point were he lost interest in us. He completed the sale and told us the car would be ready for 1.30pm after having a full valet and assured us the stains on the upholstery etc would be removed.
Amy then took over and assisted us completing the finance forms and was very helpful. She issued us with a form and we were instructed to go to the post office to get the V5 as they did not have it. She also assured us on our return to sign in and ask for her on return from the post office. We arrived back from the post office at 2.30pm and signed in and asked for Amy. We waited and could see Amy in her office. I went over to the office and asked to speak with her and was informed they would let her know. 20 mins had gone and still no one attended us I went back to the signing in desk and complained as we were waiting for a £25 refund and did not know if the car was ready .I was then informed Emily in collections would be dealing with us and would be 10 mins. After 10 mins still no one attended us we spoke with a manager who went to talk to Emily and was told we had a 2 minute wait. 5 minutes later Emily saw us and went through the collection process and said the car still was not ready (3.15pm) at 3.25pm we were shown the car and the valet we were promised had only been done to the outer vehicle the inside interior had not been done. They were still the stains on the upholstery amd crumbs etc.
At this point we needed to go as we had urgent things to do, so we mentioned thst we were disgusted with the customer service and would not ever purchase a car from them. To be honest they are not bothered and do not take customer feedback seriously. However, lesson learnt ALWAYS read the reviews before visiting a showroom as people write them to help others.
NOT EVERY ONE IS A KEYBOARD WASTER!!
I REALLY HOPE MY REVIEW HELPS OTHERS AND THE CAR HAS NO PROBLEMS LIKE SOME PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED!!
I WILL UPDATE IF IT DOES.

Sales guy was brilliant

Sales guy was brilliant, but after that the rest of the service was dire. Collection was a chore, sat for 40 mins after appointment time, as finance person was having her lunch… eventually left with car at 4pm. Arrogant non interested staff, not interested once they have your money. I will never set foot in the place again.

Shocking!!!

By far the worse service I have received when buying a car. And I’ve brought several cars in the past all from dealerships. The sale executive wasn’t bothered if I brought the car or not. His attitude was basically here’s the car and here’s the keys. do you wanna buy it or not. Luckily I know about cars and spec because he wasn’t helpful in the slightest. Took the car for a test drive and noticed the breaks grinding quite badly. When mentioning this to sale executive. I was told that it passed a mot and if they needed doing they would have been done and the grinding is from it being parked up for a while. After deciding to buy the car I was left for 2 hours waiting for finance and handover even though it was a cash purchase. Spoke to the manager on 2 separate occasions in them 2 hours and was apologising for the wait I understand you can be busy but I don’t think that’s acceptable. I have had the car checked over the next day at a car garage only to be told the car needs to breaks and pads front and back and it should of been noted in last mot as it was only done couple weeks ago. Would never buy a car from there again. Hopefully a manager can get in contact with with me so this issue can be resolved but I highly doubt it

Hi Wayne,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your purchase fell so far short of the standard you expected, especially as you have bought several vehicles from dealerships previously.

We’re particularly concerned by your comments regarding the brakes. You raised the grinding noise during your test drive and were given an explanation for it, so we understand how frustrating it must have been to subsequently have the vehicle inspected independently and be advised that the brakes and pads required attention. We take concerns about vehicle safety and preparation extremely seriously and will ensure this feedback is passed to the relevant team for review.

We’re also sorry about the length of time you were left waiting for the finance and handover process. We appreciate that, even during busy periods, waiting around two hours after making a cash purchase is frustrating and not the experience we want to provide.

Your comments regarding the sales executive's attitude and the lack of support and information you received are equally disappointing. Customers should feel valued and properly supported throughout the buying process, regardless of whether they ultimately decide to purchase.

We understand that you would like a manager to contact you regarding the issues with the vehicle. We would encourage you to contact our After Sales team directly with your purchase details so that the matter can be investigated and the appropriate team can review the concerns you've raised.

We’re sorry again that this experience has left you feeling that you would not return to Big Motoring World, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.

I don't recommend it. Big Motoring World.I get junky car from them.

I bought a Kia Niro 4, and for how very much I paid, you’d expect a proper high‑spec car. The test drive felt great, everything seemed solid — until the moment things actually mattered.

🧍 Dealer “professionalism”
While waiting to sign the papers, I noticed a chip on the windscreen, right at the bottom.
I told salesman agent clearly that I’m not signing anything until they fix it.
Shortman the manager, came over and promised they would repair it.
Not “maybe”, not “we’ll see”, but promised.

They gave me two options:

- Pick up Monday without repair
- Pick up Tuesday repaired

I chose Tuesday.
And I signed only because they promised the repair.

Then Tuesday came.
I went to pick up the car.
And guess what?

The windscreen was NOT repaired.
The promise was just… air. Premium air, I suppose.

📱 Kia Connect — or “Kia Disconnect”
After buying the car, Kia Connect refused to let me buy anything from the shop, saying the car isn’t eligible.
A Niro 4 without OTA updates is basically a Niro 2 pretending to be fancy.

Downloaded the latest software.
Installed it.
Nothing changed.

Even Kia’s website didn’t recognise my VIN. I had to download updates manually by model and year.

🔍 “Premium details”
After taking the car home, I noticed:

- a scratch on the bumper
- small scratches covered with polish
- tyres that were not Michelin, even though Niro 4 comes with Michelin from factory
- mixed tyre brands, with only one Michelin
- no floor mats, because apparently mats are “optional luxury items” now

📻 Warranty — the final surprise
I called Kia about the 7‑year warranty.
They told me the diagnostic is £165.
Asked about warranty coverage. Their answer:

- the car has 7 years
- the radio only has 3 years
- if it needs replacement, I pay
Premium experience indeed.

🧾 Sarcastic conclusion
The Niro 4 is a good car… if you get it straight from the factory.
But when you pay very much and end up with a broken promise, an unrepaired windscreen, mixed tyres, scratches, missing mats, no OTA updates, and a radio with half‑warranty, you start wondering if you actually bought a Niro 2 wearing a Niro 4 badge.

Hi Mr Albu,

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your experience after purchasing the Kia Niro did not meet the standard you expected.

In particular, we understand your frustration regarding the windscreen repair. If you were specifically given the option to collect the vehicle on Tuesday on the understanding that the repair would be completed, we appreciate why finding it had not been done would have been extremely disappointing. We also acknowledge your concerns regarding the condition of the vehicle, tyres, floor mats and the issues you experienced with Kia Connect and the warranty.

We certainly don’t want any customer to feel that promises made during the sales process have not been honoured, or that they have been left to resolve issues themselves after purchase.

We appreciate your positive comments about the Niro itself, and we’re sorry that the overall buying experience has left you feeling so let down.

Very disappointing experience with Big…

Very disappointing experience with Big Motoring World

After 4 weeks they still not resolved the issue and they just responding once a week.

I recently purchased a Volvo XC40 from Big Motoring World and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing.

The biggest concern is the accuracy of the vehicle checks they presented to me.

Their own inspection report recorded the nearside front tyre at approximately 3.3–4.3 mm. However, I raised concerns about the tyres on the first day after purchase, and I had the vehicle independently inspected by Kwik Fit approximately one week later.

Kwik Fit found the same nearside front tyre had:

* 2.0 mm on the inner edge
* 3.0 mm in the centre
* 3.0 mm on the outer edge

No even near to what they have in their reports.

They also identified an alignment issue. Again something that they reported as done.
Big Motoring World has agreed to reimburse the alignment cost, but they have refused to replace the tyre.

My concern is simple: if the vehicle was genuinely checked as stated in their inspection report, how was a tyre with only 2.0 mm on the inner edge and significant uneven wear reported as being 3.3mm?

I only owned and drove the car for approximately one week, and the issue was raised with Big Motoring World immediately. I do not believe normal driving over one week can explain this level of uneven wear.

This has left me seriously questioning whether the checks shown on the dealer’s inspection report were actually carried out properly, particularly the tyre measurements and assessment of the tyre across its full width.Plus the other x amount of inspection claimed as done.

I am not accusing anyone of deliberately falsifying a report, but the difference between the checks presented by the dealer and the independent inspection is extremely concerning.

For me, the issue is not simply that a tyre needs replacing. It is the fact that I relied on the dealer’s inspection when purchasing the vehicle, yet an independent inspection shortly afterwards found a significantly different condition.

I would strongly recommend that anyone buying a vehicle from Big Motoring World independently inspect the car before purchase and do not rely solely on the dealer’s preparation/inspection report.

I am still hoping they will reconsider their position and take responsibility for the tyre issue.

Hi Vali,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with the handling of your concerns regarding the tyre condition and the length of time taken to reach a resolution.

We appreciate that you relied on the vehicle inspection information provided to you when making your purchase, and we understand why the difference between the measurements recorded on our inspection report and those subsequently provided by an independent inspection has caused concern.

We are also sorry that you feel the communication regarding your case has been insufficient. Waiting for updates over a number of weeks is understandably frustrating, and we recognise that we should aim to keep customers informed throughout the process.

We note that the alignment cost has been agreed for reimbursement. Your remaining concern regarding the tyre and the differing measurements has also been noted, and we would like the opportunity to review the matter fully with the relevant team, including the inspection information and the independent findings.

As we cannot discuss the specifics of an individual case publicly, please contact our After Sales team with your vehicle registration and review details so that we can locate your case and ensure your concerns are reviewed appropriately.

We are sorry that your experience has not met the standard we aim to provide and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE

This experience does not even warrant a 1-star review, but unfortunately that was the lowest rating available.

I have just had what I can only describe as one of the most disappointing car-buying experiences I have ever encountered. I paid £99 to reserve a Cupra Born, fully intending to purchase the vehicle and drive it away that same day.

Before travelling to the dealership, I specifically asked the sales team if they could kindly make sure the vehicle could be fully charged, as I had a long journey planned immediately afterwards. I was assured this would be possible.

Upon arrival, however, none of the staff appeared to have any knowledge of the reservation. After waiting around 10–15 minutes, a sales representative eventually located the vehicle and brought it around for us to inspect.

Unfortunately, the vehicle was in an extremely poor condition. It had clearly not been cleaned or prepared prior to our arrival, despite us having specifically arranged to view and potentially purchase it. We also discovered several scratches that had not been disclosed in the online listing.

We were then told that we would have to wait approximately 30 minutes to test drive the vehicle, despite having informed the sales representative three days earlier that we would like to test drive it. We were instead offered an “unofficial” test drive around a nearby car park to “save time”, which was far from the experience I expected when purchasing a vehicle from a professional dealership.

Despite all of this, we took some time to consider the situation and decided to proceed with the purchase due to the vehicle’s competitive price and low mileage.

After completing several minutes of paperwork, we reached the payment stage. We had planned to pay partly by credit card and partly in cash. At this point, we were informed that payment by credit card was not possible — despite me having specifically asked about this when reserving the vehicle three days earlier and being told that it would be accepted.

This was ultimately the final straw, and we decided not to proceed with the purchase.

What makes the experience even more frustrating is that we have now wasted the fuel and time travelling approximately 240 miles on a round trip, based entirely on the information and assurances provided to us by the sales team beforehand. Had we been given accurate information from the outset, this unnecessary journey could have been avoided.

Overall, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. At no point did we feel valued as customers; instead, we were left with the impression that we were simply another transaction.

For a company selling vehicles at this level, I expected a much more professional, organised and customer-focused experience.

I would not recommend this branch to anyone based on my experience.

Hi Liam,

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your experience fell so far short of the standard you expected, particularly after travelling around 240 miles based on information and assurances provided by our sales team.

We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to arrive and find that the vehicle had not been prepared, especially when you had reserved it in advance and specifically requested that it be fully charged. The undisclosed scratches, the delay in arranging a proper test drive and the lack of awareness around your reservation are also not the experience we want customers to have.

We are particularly disappointed to hear that you were given incorrect information regarding credit card payment. We understand that this ultimately resulted in you deciding not to proceed with the purchase, after you had already invested significant time, fuel and effort in travelling to the branch.

Your comments regarding the communication and preparation of the vehicle will be shared with the relevant management team. We accept that simply apologising does not undo the inconvenience you experienced, but we do appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so they can be addressed.

We are sorry that we left you feeling that you were treated as a transaction rather than as a valued customer. That is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we understand why, based on what happened during your visit, you would not recommend the branch.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FROM BIG…

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD LEEDS

Get an independent inspection. Do not rely solely on their vehicle report or how good a car looks on the forecourt.

We travelled from London to Leeds to collect a car after being told the finance was approved and we could test drive, inspect and take it away that day if happy.

At our 3pm appointment, nobody seemed to know we were coming and we waited around 30 minutes. We were then told by our salesperson Suhail that the lender was “unreliable” and we needed to wait another 24 hours. We contacted the lender ourselves and were told there was no 24-hour requirement.

The biggest concern came when we inspected the car. My husband has previous experience as a mechanic and identified apparent previous accident damage to the bumper that was not disclosed on the vehicle report. There was also dirt, hair and cobwebs inside the car.

We genuinely feel lucky we spotted this before buying. The car looked fine on the surface, but closer inspection told a very different story. Get an independent inspection before buying anything from this dealership.

We were initially told the car could be delivered to London free of charge, but after my husband began inspecting the vehicle, that changed abruptly and we were then told we would have to pay an additional £280.

When we were understandably frustrated after travelling all the way to Leeds, another member of staff told us to “go for lunch and enjoy Leeds”. Completely inappropriate.

We walked away from the car and honestly, we are glad we did. We feel we dodged a bullet.

Harry, the finance person we initially dealt with, was genuinely kind and helpful. This review is not directed at him personally. Unfortunately, our overall experience at the Leeds branch was completely different.

Check the history. Get an independent inspection. Look beyond the paintwork. Don't let a big dealership name replace your own due diligence.

We are leaving this review so the next person can make an informed decision.

Hi Dina,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience at our Leeds branch, particularly given the distance you travelled and the time you had invested in arranging the appointment.

We take concerns regarding vehicle condition and the accuracy of information provided very seriously. We’re disappointed to hear that you identified issues during your own inspection that you felt were not reflected in the vehicle report, and we understand why this would have affected your confidence in proceeding with the purchase. Your comments will be passed to the relevant team so the vehicle and the circumstances surrounding its presentation can be reviewed.

We’re also sorry that there was confusion around your appointment, the finance process and delivery arrangements. We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to receive differing information after travelling from London. The comment about going for lunch was also not appropriate in the circumstances, and we apologise for the impression this gave.

We’re pleased to hear that Harry was helpful and supportive during your initial dealings with us, and we’ll ensure that positive feedback is shared with him.

Ultimately, we respect your decision not to proceed with the vehicle. Customer confidence is extremely important to us, and we’re sorry that your experience at Leeds fell short of the standard we expect. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention.

Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Dealing with this place has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.

I did all the chasing, drove all the way from Liverpool to Leeds, signed the finance papers, and was literally about to take the keys when they turned me away because the electric fuel flap was broken. They promised to fix it, but when I came back two days later for a 12pm collection, I was kept waiting until almost 3pm. I had a flight to catch, so I had to rush off without a proper handover.

When I got home, the real problems started:
* The PHEV came with no 3-pin home charger cable, so I had to shell out £134 of my own money just to charge the car at home.
* A day after getting it back, the GPS and nav made a loud "pop" sound and completely died.
* The dash is constantly flashing up with "SOS Return to Workshop" errors.
* The fuel flap still doesn't work properly.
Their response to the software breaking? "We don't deal with software."

They were fast enough to push the finance contract in front of me, but now I’m being completely ghosted. No one replies to emails, no one picks up the phone, and promises of a goodwill gesture for wasting my time and work hours have just vanished.

They still manage to spam my inbox with sales emails every day, but can't be bothered to fix a defective car they sold me. Absolute zero care for their customers once you've signed. Avoid

Hi Kieran,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about the experience you have had and the frustration caused throughout the purchase and after-sales process.

We apologise for the delays you experienced when collecting the vehicle, particularly after travelling such a significant distance and having a flight to catch. We also understand how disappointing it must have been to discover further issues shortly after getting home, including the concerns you have raised regarding the charging cable, navigation system, SOS warnings and fuel flap.

We are particularly sorry to hear that you have struggled to get responses to your emails and calls and that you feel promises made to you were not followed through. We appreciate how frustrating it is to feel that you received a very different level of communication once the purchase had been completed.

We also apologise that your experience has left you feeling that we did not care about your concerns. That is certainly not the impression we want any customer to be left with.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, time and frustration this situation has caused you, and we sincerely regret that your experience with us has fallen so far short of your expectations.

Kindest Regards,
Big Motoring World

⚠️ My experience with Big Motoring World…

⚠️ My experience with Big Motoring World – please read before buying.

I’m sharing this because I genuinely wish I’d seen more honest reviews before I purchased my car from Big Motoring World.

I Worked & Saved Hard to Buy Myself a car and paid Over £27000, expecting that buying from a large, established dealer would give me some reassurance and protection.

Unfortunately, my experience has been completely different.

Only shortly after purchasing the vehicle, it developed serious juddering issues. I contacted the dealership and my RAC warranty, followed the required process and arranged diagnostics. The RAC garage has told me it’s not Safe to drive However, I’ve now found myself stuck between the dealership, warranty provider and garages, with nobody taking responsibility for getting the underlying issue properly diagnosed and resolved.

The warranty garage has explained that the vehicle would need to be stripped down to investigate further and that this is not an issue they specialise in. The mechanic Disclosed that he is 90% certain it’s my Rear Differential Which also has a Leak, But without Stripping & commitment to the work this isn’t possible. I was advised that a specialist, such as Audi, may be required — yet I’m being told this isn’t covered.

So I’m left with a car that I don’t consider roadworthy, without a vehicle to get to work, while being expected to pay even more money for diagnostics just to establish what is actually wrong.

What has been most disappointing is the lack of urgency and communication when I’ve already spent £27660 with this company.

I didn’t buy a cheap car and I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for what I believe is reasonable: a safe, reliable vehicle and a dealership that takes responsibility when something goes wrong shortly after purchase.

I’m now escalating the matter and pursuing the appropriate complaints and consumer routes.

I’m sharing my experience to make other potential buyers aware. Please do your research, understand exactly what protection you have, and don’t assume that buying from a large dealership automatically means you’ll be looked after when things go wrong.

I sincerely hope Big Motoring World now steps up and resolves this properly. 🚗

Avoid.

Hi Amy,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear about the difficulties you have faced since purchasing your vehicle and, in particular, the frustration and uncertainty caused by the ongoing issues.

We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, especially after making a significant investment in a vehicle and expecting the reassurance that comes with purchasing from an established dealer. Having a vehicle develop serious faults shortly after purchase is understandably stressful, and we are sorry that your experience has added to that stress.

We also apologise for the communication you have received throughout the process. We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to feel that you were being passed between the dealership, warranty provider and garages without clear answers or the level of support you expected.

Most importantly, we are sorry that you have been left feeling that your concerns have not been treated with the urgency and care they deserved. We recognise that this has clearly been a very disappointing experience from your perspective.

We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience, frustration and disappointment caused. Your feedback is taken seriously and we are sorry that your experience has not been a positive one.

Kindest Regards,
Big Motoring World

🚨 DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM BIG MOTORING…

🚨 DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD – PLEASE BE CAREFUL 🚨

I genuinely cannot warn people strongly enough about my experience with Big Motoring World Leeds.

This has without question been the worst customer experience I have ever been through.

What should have been an exciting purchase of an Audi A3 has turned into weeks of faults, warning lights, inspections, emails, phone calls, being passed from pillar to post and constantly feeling like I am being fobbed off.

Problems started before I had even collected the car. A crack appeared on the front bumper which was NOT there when I viewed the vehicle. I initially refused to collect it and only proceeded after this was addressed.

Unfortunately, that was just the beginning.

Within days of taking the vehicle I was experiencing numerous issues, including:

- Tyres subsequently reported as approximately 5 years old, cracked and excessively deteriorated, with replacement recommended.
- Squealing brakes, which I was subsequently advised required greasing/lubricating.
- MMI/infotainment screen repeatedly rebooting.
- Phone calls disconnecting/dropping.
- MyAudi/connected-services problems.
- Emergency warning lights appearing on the dashboard.
- Multiple dashboard warnings telling me to return the vehicle to a workshop.
- Further faults continuing to appear.

This was a car I had literally JUST PURCHASED.

I have also repeatedly requested a copy of the 200-point inspection report for MY vehicle.

I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN PROVIDED WITH IT.

What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I have repeatedly been told by Big Motoring World to take the vehicle elsewhere because they apparently do not have the facilities/diagnostics to investigate these issues themselves.

I have been directed to Halfords, Kwik Fit and Audi.

So that is EXACTLY what I did.

I have spent my own time taking the vehicle to third parties, obtaining inspections/advice and gathering evidence relating to the problems with the vehicle.

I then sent that evidence back to Big Motoring World.

AND I STILL GOT NOWHERE.

How much more is a customer expected to do?

I purchased the vehicle from Big Motoring World. I followed the instructions I was given. I obtained the evidence requested. I supplied that evidence. I repeatedly tried to give them the opportunity to resolve the problems.

I even attended Big Motoring World in person and was told that the vehicle had been passed across for rejection.

Yet I have still been left chasing the situation.

For absolute clarity:

I DID NOT WANT TO REJECT THIS CAR.

I liked the Audi and wanted to keep it. I simply wanted the faults properly diagnosed and resolved.

Unfortunately, after the number of problems that appeared almost immediately after purchase and my experience trying to get Big Motoring World to deal with them, I felt I had been left with no reasonable alternative but to reject the vehicle.

The customer service throughout this process has, in my experience, been awful. I have repeatedly felt fobbed off rather than supported as a customer who had only just purchased a vehicle.

I have photographs, independent inspection findings, dashboard warnings, emails and a detailed timeline supporting what I have said. The matter has now been escalated to my finance provider, Black Horse, and I have also sought advice from Citizens Advice regarding my consumer rights.

This isn't a review about one minor fault appearing months after buying a used car.

THE PROBLEMS STARTED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE.

I will update this review with the eventual outcome because I believe potential customers deserve to know how situations like mine are ultimately dealt with.

Based entirely on my own experience, my advice at the moment is simple:

🚨 DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM BIG MOTORING WORLD. 🚨

If you are considering buying from them, PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

Do your research. Read reviews. Check the vehicle thoroughly. Check the tyres. Consider an independent inspection. Keep every photograph, email and report. And if you're told the vehicle has undergone a comprehensive inspection, ask to see the actual inspection report.

I sincerely wish I had known what I was going to go through before purchasing this car.

An absolute shambles of an experience from start to finish.

Hi Tony,

We’re very sorry to read about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed feedback.

We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, particularly as you wanted to keep the Audi and were seeking to have the issues properly diagnosed and resolved. We’re also sorry to hear that you felt you had to repeatedly chase for updates and that you were unhappy with the level of communication and support you received.

The concerns you’ve raised regarding the vehicle’s condition, the inspection report, the various warning lights and the steps you were asked to take with third-party garages are all matters we would like to review properly. We appreciate that you have taken the time to gather documentation and provide information to our teams.

As you have now escalated the matter to your finance provider and are seeking advice regarding your consumer rights, we would not want to comment on the specifics of the case publicly while this is ongoing. However, we would be happy to ensure your feedback is passed to the relevant team for review.

Please send us your vehicle registration and contact details via private message so we can locate your case and look into the concerns you have raised.

We’re sorry that your experience has fallen so far short of what we aim to provide, and we appreciate your feedback.

Kindest Regards,
Big Motoring World
