Scam, save your money.

I found this site and started looking at a bike I really wanted to buy. When I started to check the company claims to make sure I wasn't sending monies to a fake sight in Singapore, I wrote to Jeff Archer (at least that is who claims to be responding), through the Contact us Now" link on the webpage and asked several questions.

Q: Why does your telephone just go to a generic "leave a message" recording, and not at least announce the company name to identify who the caller is speaking to, and why is the area code in Puerto Rico, not Singapore where the website says you're located. How do I call you directly?
A: "We don't take calls from you, you leave us a phone number"

Q: I cannot seem to locate the reviews you claim to have through Trustpilot and Google, how do I validate these?
A: "If you are in doubt about our company, you can shop at another company. For us our top priority is honesty with our customers..." So I received no answer really, just GO ELSWHERE.

Q: Where do I go to verify your rating claim of A+ on BBB?
A: No Response.

I then contacted Trustpilot Support and asked if it was me, or is this company placing fake reviews on their website under the Trustpilot banner? The site posts dozens or reviews and claims to have a 4.9 customer rating by Google Review. None of the reviews can be found on either review site. Trustpilot Support sent me a link to the only reviews they had, which were the same 8 reviews I found giving Bike Sports MTB (bikesportsmtb.com) an average rating of 2 stars.

Glad I did my homework.

Cheap SCAM

At first glance the site is a complete scam, but registered for fun and had the following funny conversation with these scammers:

Bikesportsmtb: "This is our second email, are you still
interested in buying 2018 Fuji Jari 1.3 Gravel. Let us know what we have to do with your order."

Me: "Dear Jeff, My transfer was somehow bounced back from your bank account. Can you provide me with a paypal instead?"

Bikesportsmtb: "Yes sir, our bank is under repair, that's why your money is returned. We will send our company account number."

Me: "Thank you! This time it went through. Attached is the confirmation. Could you please provide me with a tracking number once the bike is shipped?"

Bikesportsmtb: "Yes sir, we will provide a tracking number after the item is sent. We hope you can be patient we will email you again after your order is sent. Thank you for business relationships"

Meanhwile, I receive the following email "Your order has been updated to the following status: Shipped"

Bikesportsmtb:"Can you tell us, the money you transferred hasn't arrived in our company account. How many days will it take to arrive at our company account"

Me: "Dear Jeff, It says "expected by Friday 21st". Please be patient. By the way, I have just received the bike. It's amazing. Thank you very much!"
