I really liked using Bill about a month ago. Now with the changes they made it is becoming unusable for me. My customers report difficulty logging in to pay and Bill asking for information they do not... See more

Poor customer service and repeated…
Poor customer service and repeated failures to follow up.
My experience with BILL’s customer service has been extremely frustrating. Resolving issues takes three days, and on at least three occasions within the past year, no one returned my call.
When you rely on a platform for business payments, timely support and reliable follow-through are essential. Having to chase down help repeatedly is unacceptable.
Based on my experience, I recommend choosing another vendor with more competent, responsive customer service.
I had been using Bill DOT COM for over…
I had been using Bill DOT COM for over a year. Suddenly they started wanting to use Persona a 3rd party ID verification for all clients. It is super invasive. Wanting Facial recognition , Bank Statements, Credit Card Statements, Company data they should never see. I think its just a way to train AI and provide more data for data centers. I canceled my account and unlinked my bank immediately. I made alternative arrangements for clients to pay me vs. Bills way too invasive system.
If they cant trust me to be when they are linked to my bank account then I cannot and will not trust them.
My experience with BILL.com has been…
My experience with BILL.com has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company.
I provided everything that was requested of me multiple times, including sensitive personal information such as my passport, driver’s license, and bank statements. After going through this process, my account was deactivated, and I still have not received a clear explanation as to why.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that my $90 service fee was still taken, and I am now being told to wait for a refund. If my account was going to be deactivated, I do not understand why I was charged for a service I am unable to use.
This has also affected my business because I am currently unable to bill my client through the system they use. As a small business owner, interruptions like this can directly impact operations and cash flow.
I only began using BILL.com because my client uses the platform. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this payment system to other small businesses.
I hope BILL.com takes situations like this seriously, provides greater transparency when accounts are deactivated, and improves how quickly customers receive answers and refunds when problems occur.
If I could rate it 0 stars I would
If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I have had to use this platform at a couple corporations I work for and it is overly complicated, crappy customer service, crappy help articles, they try to tout their platform as simple and easy and it is ridiculously difficult to use and manage. I have been doing this career for over 20 years and manage multi-million dollar corporations and I am so done w/ this company. Do not use them!

Horrible!!
Horrible!!! If it's not directly related to Bill.com they definitely need to cut ties with CAVL. Im owed over $2,200 since February 2026. Waiting

I was trying to update my card…
I was trying to update my card information, which should have been routine. Unfortunately, I was locked out of my account. I wasn't worried, so I reached out to customer service and was told to upload my photos. I did, and he agreed that he had reviewed them.
Then advised me that someone else would call me back in 72 hours. Over 72 hours later, I attempted to log in, and I am back to square one. If you are a business, this is unreliable and not a functional system for modern transactions.
Horrible
Horrible, terrible, frustrating. I am trying to sign in to my account to check my invoices are all there and today is the second day thing to access my account and nothing. I got customer support yesterday, I was able to talk to one of them, I provide everything they ask and the problem is still there, I can not sign in yet, something that can be so easy to resolve when a company has an efficient system.
Warning about Bill.com
I used their 30 day trial to get knowledge of their program. I paid vendors and the payments never went through. That's when they told me I needed more information on our company including bank statements, corporation documents, etc. I was resistant on giving them bank statements, but now they were holding back paying my vendors, like blackmail. After I provided the information they asked for, they "rejected" my subscription for unknown reasons (they won't tell me why). There should have been no reason for any type of rejection as we are a strong company. My vendors never got paid by them.
What a waste of my time.
Filing Lawsuit
BILL/Divvy has been holding approximately $40,000 of my company’s funds for about a month after closing my account, and I still have not received a clear timeline for when the money will be returned.
I have provided the information requested and have repeatedly followed up, but I continue to receive delays instead of a concrete resolution. Holding this amount of money for this long without giving a firm release date is extremely concerning and has created a serious issue for my business.
At this point, I am contacting attorneys and preparing to pursue formal legal action if the funds are not returned promptly. I would strongly caution other business owners to understand the risk of having substantial funds held on the platform before relying on BILL/Divvy.
I will update this review if and when the full $40,000 is returned.
Poor service, misleading information, and missing payments
I had Instant Transfer enabled, but when a customer’s payment did not arrive as expected, I contacted BILL support. An employee explicitly promised me in writing that the money would arrive by the end of the day. When it still had not arrived the following day, BILL changed its explanation.
Only then was I told that payments through my customer portal did not qualify for Instant Transfer. Apparently, my customer needed their own active, connected BILL Accounts Payable account. This requirement is not clearly disclosed anywhere on the website and support promised an arrival date without explaining that my payment was supposedly ineligible.
My business relies on these payments. Broken written promises and changing explanations disrupt my cash flow and waste time I should spend running my business. The repeated apologies I received from Bill representatives do not replace accurate information or access to money I have earned.
A stone tablet and chisel is more efficient for sending invoices
There are easier ways to invoice and pay bills, including using a stone tablet and a chisel. both the app and the website are incredibly non-user friendly. I spent three days and three people trying to figure out how to send and get paid on my first invoice. Contacting customer support is a waste of your time. They bounced me from specialist to specialist until I finally just disconnected. Finally, the client told me that they set up my payment system through bill.com for me. I don’t even know how they did that. I don’t even care. The only thing that I know is that if you can do anything to invoice and get paid other than use this program, I advise you highly to do so. Time is precious and time is money. If I were billing bill.com they owe me several thousand dollars for the incredible waste of time they caused me. MY RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!
I listened to the pitch and was…
I listened to the pitch and was promised a switch 2, never got the switch 2 was ignored and emails and its been almost 4 months. You talk to someone one week and they are gone the next. Insane turn-over. Left a review with the BBB as well. Do not to business with this company if you want any type of customer support.
Bill.com is a horrible platform
Bill.com is a horrible platform. No one should do business with them. If you see that a company is doing business with them ask them flat out if theres another way that they can pay. There not worth the risk or trouble to do business with them. I can’t even login into the site because of a phone number I had 6 years ago. Something that simple as changing a phone numbers has now taken over 4 days and still has not been resolved. To make matters worse I got a email saying they had resolved the problem and they hadn’t even resolved the problem. When I contacted they wanted me to restart the whole process. I’m still waiting for a phone number change. That’s it. 4 days for a phone number change. Talking to multiple different agents for a phone number change. That really should tell everyone all they need to know. Avoid this company like the plague. This is not the company you want to do business with or should trust with your money or to recieve your money through. Ignore this warning at your peril.
Rapidly declining in value
My company has been a Bill customer for several years. We first used their AP platform but had to move away due to an accounting system change. However, we have used Bill Spend & Expense since before Bill purchased Divvy. This platform has been excellent for our use case as a construction general contractor, but over the last year or so, it has quickly degraded in quality and support. Our credit limit has been reduced from 30,000 to 3,300 in several stages without warning the past few months with no reasonable expectation or pathway to get it restored. Technical support seems to be increasingly offloaded to AI bots and it is impossible to talk to an actual account representative. The only reason we've stayed is for the feature set and the price point (currently free), but these issues are making me seriously consider moving away from the platform and paying for something better. We have been a customer since 2022 and have spent over $1.6 million through the cards.
I had used BILL.com for 1.5 - 2 years
I had used BILL.com for 1.5 - 2 years without issue. The platform performed as expected. Then, recently, I attempted to pay a vendor using BILL.com's "send a check" feature. They then shut down my account, without notice, without contacting me, without question. Gone. I appealed the shut down, they gave me limited access, requested documentation, and then shut down my account. When I asked why, they said, "unfortunately, we can not give details". So, this company operates on a whim. Now I'm having to find new ways, if possible, to receive payments from three different vendors who use BILL.com to pay me. This is absurd. I do not recommend BILL.com because they are unreliable, and your account is subject to suspension and/or shutdown without reason, without allowing you to address any concerns they may have for doing so. DON'T USE BILL.com. Horrible service, horrible customer relations.
Absolutely horrible platform to use and…
Absolutely horrible platform to use and non-existent customer service. Even when you can get someone to call you back -- which takes an hour on a good day -- they are absolutely clueless and are just reading articles themselves to you as part of trying to help you! Stay away from these people if possible!
This company is worthless
This company is worthless. And customer service ridiculous. A company I worked for started to use their services so I set up an account to get paid. Or should I say NOT GET PAID. This is a broker who just takes in money then blames you the vender for not connecting to the client. So they get to ride the money. When I contacted the company to find my money the person typed that they can understand I am suspicious of my client … no I am suspicious of BILL.com they are the people you should not do business with. Thanks to them I am most likely out 5k
Steer clear! Ask clients to pay directly instead!
Ridiculous system, whereby invoices I've sent to clients in the US have, instead of being paid to my local USD account as specified, been paid to my Danish one, incurring transfer fees. Bill makes it impossible to add other (USD/EUR) accounts to my Bill profile, so it's basically made "getting paid" internationally a whole lot more expensive and complicated than it need be.
