Rude, aggressive, not customer orientated.
Not having received an owner's manual, I was unaware that I needed to service this system every six months to maintain the warranty. The system is approximately 18 months old. The alarm has recently started going off, with the 'pump fault' light showing. I called Biocycle and spoke to the general manager, with a view to getting this resolved. He was impatient from the outset. I explained that I had received an email from an Auckland based company a few months ago regarding a service, however they stated that it was due to Auckland Council regulations (I'm not in the Auckland Council district), thus I declined as this appeared to be merely an unsolicited sales pitch. That was all he needed. The ‘warranty’ was withdrawn in that moment as he deemed that I had 'refused service'. The fact that I was unaware that servicing was a requirement to maintain the warranty was irrelevant. He would not listen to reason, and when I attempted to challenge this stance, his response was to verbally attack me. He had no interest in me as a customer; his only interest was in stating that warranty was void. He was rude and aggressive throughout the call, culminating in him shouting at me. When I advised him not to shout at me, his response was to hang up on me. This call and my experience can be verified as it was overheard by two electricians who were on-site at the time.
I would not recommend this company.
