I highly recommend BKtutoring following recent individual sessions with Beata. She is a very conscientious, organised, imaginative and not least, patient tutor, who found materials tailored to my needs and interests, making every session enjoyable, instructive and set to the appropriate level and pace. She sent a session plan with exercises each time and provided helpful feedback. I am about to book another block of Polish language tutoring.

My son Robin has been taking Nat 5 German with Beata for several months and he's absolutely loving it.  Beata is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and able to tailor the learning to fit his interests, making it an hour he really looks forward to every week.  He's making great progress and has gained a lot of confidence, so I'm absolutely delighted.  Robin has had online language lessons before and has often found it difficult to form a rapport with the tutor due to the online nature of things, but I'm so happy to say we don't have this with Beata.  It's a very friendly, comfortable lesson and Beata is excellent at reaching shy pupils and nurturing their self-esteem.  I recommend her very highly to anyone looking for German language tutoring!

Chang has been teaching my son Nat 5 Mandarin for the last couple of months and I can honestly say she is amazing. Thorough, helpful and really keeps my son engaged in the lessons. Will help with anything extra, even out with the session times such as marking practice work. Would totally recommend for anyone looking for help with their Mandarin.

I was a bit nervous about deciding to study Mandarin as an additional subject for my Nat 5’s. I had studied Mandarin whilst living abroad for 7 years, but I had had a break and hadn’t studied Mandarin in school on Mandarin for 3 years. My mum spent a while trying to find someone in Scotland who taught Nat 5 Mandarin, because most people seemed to specialise in HSK qualifications. I was really pleased when we found Chang at BK Tutoring as she understood Nat 5 and helped me to study for Nat 5 Mandarin specifically. She understands Nat 5 requirements completely and made sure that I knew all of the syllabus so that I felt confident for my speaking, written and reading. I enjoyed the lessons and often did a little homework in between. Chang was helpful in directing me to additional study materials. I was really pleased to pass my Nat 5 with an ‘A’ and am now studying Higher Mandarin with Chang. We meet twice a week and she is really friendly, helpful and is helping me to feel confident that I can pass the Higher with her support.

Chang has been a huge support to our daughter who is studying for her Nat 5 Mandarin. She recently sat her prelims and did very well in them. We were delighted to find BK Tutoring as prior to finding them we had struggled to find anyone who would be able to provide online tutoring specifically tailored to passing Nat 5. Chang is always well prepared for each class with a plan for what needs to be covered for the syllabus - this is often based on a discussion during the previous lesson about what our daughter currently feels needs the most work or is finding most difficult. Chang also allows enough flexibility to respond to any questions that come up in between sessions. On a few occasions she has encouraged self-study between lessons to assist with progress - this has been very tailored to our needs as our daughter is not being formally taught at school. We feel very confident that our daughter is fully prepared for the exams and knows exactly what to expect. We are very grateful to BK Tutoring for their services and their great customer service when we’ve had any specific requests.

Beata is an amazing tutor! She puts a lot of thought into the lessons but is flexible when she recognises what is most helpful. She paces the lessons well and includes a variety of techniques.

Thanks to BK Tutoring I was able to pass CEFR A1 German with 86% in three months. Dr Beata Kohlbek prepared me for A1 German with weekly online lessons.
