Overinflated value affects customs

I ordered a $35 hat fully expecting to pay about $10 in taxes and duties. Hat arrives during time frame I was given. All good until I get the bill for taxes from FedEx which leads me to go back and check the paperwork in the box. They listed the value at $484.30. Taxes are 10x what I expected and all the email replies keep telling me I am responsible for paying the taxes and duties which I even stated in my email which questioned why the value was so overinflated.

I've been a Blizzard customer for over…

I've been a Blizzard customer for over 20 years. My whole family plays WoW. I've never had a problem until now, and honestly, this experience has completely shaken my trust in Blizzard's merchandise operation.
I ordered 4 items on 27th November for Christmas presents - two wearable blankets and two pairs of pyjama pants. Paid £246 including £38 for express shipping to make sure they'd arrive in time.

On 24th December, one pair of pyjama pants arrived. That's it. One item out of four, worth £32 out of £246. No warning, no email explaining a partial shipment - just a lone pair of trousers in a box. Christmas ruined.
What followed was 20 days of the worst customer service I've ever experienced:

Advisors who knew nothing about my order

Being told it "hadn't been dispatched" when I was literally holding the tracking number

Promises of email updates that never came

Advisors ending live chats while I was mid-sentence - multiple times

Excuses that kept changing: "pre-order delays," then "supplier issues," then "waiting for restock"
A complaint ticket that was completely ignored

A second item arrived on 13th January. The remaining two items have apparently now shipped - nearly 7 weeks after ordering, and 3 weeks after Christmas. I'm still waiting for them to actually arrive.

When I pushed for a refund on the express shipping I paid for but didn't receive, they offered £20 instead of £38 because apparently sending my order in three separate shipments over 7 weeks counts as "standard shipping." When I pushed back, I was told they "expected respect" from customers - as if being frustrated after 20 days of this nonsense is somehow unreasonable.

The products themselves are fine. But I could have bought them anywhere. What I paid Blizzard for was reliable service from a company I trusted, and what I got was chaos, silence, and being made to feel like a nuisance for wanting my order.

If you're thinking of ordering from the Blizzard Gear Store: don't do it for anything time-sensitive. Don't trust express shipping. And be prepared to fight for weeks if anything goes wrong.

20 years of goodwill, gone in one order.

Very low quality T-shirts

Very low quality T-shirts. I bought the 20th anniversary WoW one, the Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 vintage ones. The print crumbles and fades after 2-3 washes (and yes: I washed them at low temperature, following all the common sense and standard procedures for washing colored printed cotton. All my other T-shirts from other sources are fine and still rocking after decades). The quality is low for basically everything they sell, from their playing cards to the action figures.

They live on the reputation Blizzard built in the early 2000s, when Blizzard meant high quality. Now it's the opposite: low quality, everything to reduce their cost and maximize their profit. Even their customer service is slow and unable to understand anything.

Literally the worst shopping experience…

Literally the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I ordered a gift card from the gear store when I actually intended to order a digital gift card.

I have been trying to submit a refund request for over a week, and each time I reach someone in chat I get pushed aside into an "email ticket." They say someone will respond, but what actually happens is it gets submitted as a ticket, and then an auto-reply comes asking me to reply to keep the ticket open. I do that and the same auto-reply comes, and thus the ticket never stays opened.

I have been trying this every day for a week. I can't even discuss in chat before they cut me off.

This company is FRAUDULENT! Stay away.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I trusted too many times.

I had a bad experience last year, but I chalked it up to the fact that every company can have issues. Last year I ordered a collectable funko pop, the item looked second hand, the box was torn and the item itself was scratched. I only spotted this when I was wrapping it as it was a gift. I reached out to the store and go no reply but I was not in the mood to ruin my festive period and the recipient wasnt too upset - thankfully.
Prior to this I also ordered Collectors Editions of Dragonflight, Evri lost the parcel - but thankfully it happened to everyone, the entire community raised the issue and without Blizzard commenting, the store reshipped. It was incredibly stressful and not enjoyable in the slightest.

This year as I have had yet another bad experience I am leaving this here because a company with this many issues can no longer be chalked up as a misfortunate situation. This is a warning sign.

I ordered the War Within Collectors editions. 2 units, for myself and my partner. Unfortunely Blizzard gives the EU no choice but to order from the UK gear store, if you want the CE.

My order went missing.

You can imagine the issue, funds spent and the expansion launch looming. I raised the issue with Evri who apologised and advised I should reach out to the merchant. I did and even though Evri was poor at communication, the UK blizzard gear store takes the crown for worst customer service of the decade.
For a company of this size I find it poor that the gear store is allowed to behave in this manner.

So in July 2024, CS gear store told me they have opened a case with Evri and would get back to be within 30 days of the decision. I gave them 2 months as per banking guide lines, and I have still not had a response. When I chase, they open a new ticket for me, when I go onto chat they say that when they look at my order it has been shipped, and close the chat. I had to pay for the items again via the ingame store. I will be raising this further, and requesting a charge back. Make sure to keep all communications.
I tweeted Blizzard asking for escalation, I raised a ticket on Blizzard as well, they all said the same thing. Reach out to the store. It's quite a neat package for Blizzard.
The mice will play with your money whilst the cat is away.
The US store works nicely, if you can afford to get it from there then I strongly suggest you do and avoid this UK company. There are no morales found here and they disregard their own rules and terms and there is nothing you can do about it.

My biggest issue is that you have no one to escalate to. It's that Blizzard have seperated themselves from the store, so in a normal circumstance you can raise a complaint to head office however Blizzard will not acknowledge the complaint as its not their company. Here in lies the issue. Use them if you dare, but eBay may be "safer" oh the irony.

This situation is still ongoing.

Buy From This Store if You Love Headaches

Just like the others here - this is one of the worst buying experiences I have had.

If you place an order you cannot cancel it like you can with other normal retailers. Support say "it is in our terms and conditions that orders CANNOT be cancelled" and they have to email their warehouse department which can take "two to three weeks to reply". So it is a roll of the dice if your order will be cancelled or not.

Each time you speak to an agent you will get a different reply. Even though I'm from the UK, an agent said I would have 20 euros deducted from my order if I refused delivery of my parcel when it arrived.

I have found support often try to blame you for the clear mismanagement of the business they work for. Even for pre-order items, it took me 5 different agents and attempts to find someone that was able to cancel it and get a refund initiated.

In short... don't fund this "business". They are essentially scammers. If you still wish to proceed, make sure you buy with a credit card so you can raise a dispute.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

I ordered Diablo 4 collectors edition, got an email saying it was on it's way. This was at the start of June, my order has been missing since, I never received, they were sending it to the wrong address as well, I had updated my address, with their help, back in March. I have contacted their support and they deliberately ignore you. The chat cuts you off, they don't answer the phone, they ignore your emails. I have been on them for over three months, on the rare instances they reply they tell me they've escalated it to a manager and that I have to wait. I'm not sure how it's taking so long to find a missing package. Utterly incompetent, they don't care about their customers, they took my money and they haven't provided me with the item I purchased.

Do not buy from them.

Product still "Processing" over a month later.

Horrible experience. Still not received product. Contacting customer service via email gets ignored and the agent chat hangs up when trying to get to the bottom of why an order placed over a month ago hasn't gone anywhere. They take your money as soon as you place an order though, funny that. Buy from them at your own risk, you're paying for thin air.

AWFUL WEBSITE DO NOT ORDER

AWFUL WEBSITE DO NOT ORDER. I wanted to return an order within their timeframe as they changed their listing and said they’d give me a free return label, once I did what they asked they weren’t responding and then acted like I never spoke to them. The CS advisor D.Marian is who I was speaking to, awful. Didn’t help at all and made false accusations.

My order never arrived
My order never arrived, I had to chase them so many times and never really got an answer that helped me or was useful in any way. The EU customer service is usually not available or you wait forever, the US customer services can't help you and so you end up wasting an awful long time for nothing. The order never arrived and in the end was cancelled because it was "out of stock". Apparently that takes them 2 months to find out. Then first they said it couldn't be reimbursed, so we had to chase them over the refund about 4 times. Save yourself the time and effort and buy somewhere else.

Refusing to update order address

I've had several issues with the gear store. They refused to refund me hundreds of pounds last year even though I was well within my right to cancel a duplicate order. My bank had to sort it out for me.

I've still got a pre-order pending from last year. I moved home after placing the order and needed the address updated for obvious reasons. The customer support originally said they have 'escalated it'. I've waited 10 days for a proper reply only to get " we can not cancel or modify anything of the order about sir". So what exactly am I supposed to do about it? Let it go to an old address and lose out on hundreds of pounds?

I've had enough of this company. Ridiculous prices and the most incompetent support I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Is Blizzard a fraud?

For once I didn`t consult Trustpilot regarding a business, and what happens? Yes, I ordered, got a order confermation and then, nothing. Total silence. No response to my emails, no christmas present, no nothing. Luckily my Mastercard provider will flag Blizzard as a whole as a fraudulent business, again, if they don`t respond soon.
Update: January 3. finally got through to a chat where they could inform me that since they didn't have the item in the size I ordered they couldn't send it. They couldn't make me aware of it or refund me either. After I told them Mastercard was notified they said I would get a refund in about a week. Not holding my breath until that happens.

Delivered the wrong items. Wrote several tickets. Unanswered for several weeks. Ignored the conent of my emails. Then returned the items. Got delivered to them by UPS. Again silence. Wrote an email. Unanswered again.

No support at all - just lies

I bought the collector's edition of Dragonflight. Everything came as ordered, but the game code flagged as already in use. I emailed and waited patiently 3 weeks since expansion hadn't begun yet. I then called and talked with Mary Tuesday, who assured me she would handle the issue. I called again and talked to Christian who again told me that they would get the issue fixed. It has now been yet another week with nothing being done. I have spent 2.5 hours on hold because after 30 minutes waiting on the phone in queue, they send you to voicemail and disconnect you. I will never buy anything from them again. My next step is contacting the bank in hopes a charge from 6 months ago can be reversed. After that it guess it is legal action in small claims court which seems like a waste of time.

Do not order from here. They will tell you your order is lost and then not refund you.
I ordered my items 1 month ago. For 2 weeks they told me they are doing an investigation then one day they told me no investigation has been open so they have to start one and it’s been like this for a month.. it’s basically a scam..

I placed an order in time for Christmas…

I placed an order in time for Christmas but wasn't informed that my order was missing until I was able to chase up customer service after boxing day (primarily because the webchat was constantly busy apparently). The courier could not locate my address even though they had delivered to my address twice in the same week and then supposedly lost the package in their warehouse. The adviser I spoke to on webchat was not particularly friendly and said I would get a response within 48 hours. Sometime after the 48 hours had gone by I get an email asking if I wanted a refund or a replacement order, I asked for a replacement but my emails were getting bounced back to me. I then discovered that the website was down to be updated and the communication I received was blocked. They couldn't be bothered to inform me that any response would need to be sent elsewhere and it took me searching around for alternative means to speak to someone. Eventually I spoke to the parent company and was given a number to call to get this all resolved. I was asked if I wanted a replacement or refund again but then told that I'd likely be waiting a long time or will never get replacements so had to settle for a refund. I was told today that the gear store has changed hands now and that Fanatics cannot fulfil any replacement orders anyway so I'm not sure why anyone offered me that option previously. They would have happily kept my money if I had not chased this up since there was no effort to contact me concerning my missing order. Really frustrating experience and maybe things will improve under new management but I'm not holding my breath or taking the risk again. Considering some of the price increases on the new website I wouldn't want to pay more just to be disappointed once more.

Poor customer service.

Slow to ship. It took 2 weeks before I received my order. Now they are constantly sending me annoying emails. I asked to be taken off their mailing list and they refused. Poor customer service.

Blizzard gear store UK- Customer support is awful

Blizzard gear store for USA is great, i have never ever had a problem with them.
The Blizzard gear store for the UK is an absolute joke.
you cannot contact anybody, the live chat is always off, the phones are never answered and although the web says they respond within 24 hours, expect to wait almost 2 weeks for some crappy response as they havent even looked at your message. They sent me 2 incorrect items, which they are still dragging out after over 2 weeks and are refusing to give me my money back or help me with the order. I have sent pictures of the two wrong items, and the items they should have been and the customer support just keep asking for more pictures when you can clearly see they are the totally wrong item. The customer support staff i have unfortunately had to deal with are rude, unhelpful and sarcastic with their emails. Blizz should have just kept it as one store in the US as the UK one is just going to lose them money with their awful attitudes and shocking timescales.
