Architects ok, even if they put a wall in the wrong place, everyone else rubbish. I had ameeting with the architec face to face, lovely guy, covered all angles. Problems came with the commercial and accounts people which tried to baffle with bullsh1t and tried to sell us more drawings and services than we needed. I waited weeks between paying and confirmation for the services that added 5 weeks onto my timeliness, and frustrated both me and builders that I had tendered the work out. Still waiting for drawings to come through but they are dragging their feet. Seems if you tell them your unhappy your 'marked' as a bad egg and everyone in the company slows to a crawl when asnwering your emails. UPDATE. Have replied to the email below. These are the right company that I had an awful experience with. Avoid if you can.

We are looking at quotes for a single storey extension. One of the companies to be shortlisted was bluelimeprojects. Mark came round rather than over email, or zoom. Which immediately put us at our ease. We were really impressed with his knowledge and experience and the fact that he listened to us novices and gave us practical advice.

Courteney and Erwin would be assets to any organisation.

They have both gone over and beyond to help provide personable customer care.

This is so refreshing in the current climate of automation.

I cannot recommend Bluelime highly enough and if you do choose Bluelime ensure you have Courteney and Erwin involved.

You will not regret it

Good service and responsive, but average expertise. While we’re not architects, there were a number of areas that we thought the designer would suggest or point out, but yet we had to do it ourselves. Leadtimes were also not as expected. With the end to end process from initial discussion of concept to readiness for Building Control, it took us almost half a year - including planning permission that took 14 weeks instead of 8 (in addition to separate pre-application). It was our first big project, and we would have expected Bluelime were knowledgeable in every detailed aspect, which was not the case unfortunately. Especially with the high amount of money we paid, it was disappointing overall

We've been delighted with our interactions with Bluelime from the initial phone conversation through to the current phase which is the planning application. Having never undertaken a project like this before (garage conversion involving a rebuild) we were keen to work with a professional project company to take us step by step through the process rather than just an architect's drawing in isolation. The communication has been good and the architect incorporated all my requests into the final approved design. Now hoping for a successful planning application before we move to the next stage.

After much deliberation, we finally decided it was time to re-design our house and modernise with a full refurbishment and some extension work.

We knew this would be more complex with side and loft extension and a re-design of the layout.

The initial survey happened reasonably quickly and then on to the design work. My initial expectations for this to take a couple of months were overly optimistic. It took almost 8 months to come to the final design.

We had a rocky start with the designer not understanding what we wanted from the project and coming up with unwanted designs. Once we overcame this, we'd got to a baseline design to then visualise the space and tweak it.

It was a journey and from survey to final design but after a few lengthy screen sharing sessions (which were much more productive) we finally got there. I suggest this to save time as it is not always easy to convey ideas over email and ideas get misinterpreted.

The design phase is now complete and we await Council approval.

These guys are experts ! Efficient, know their stuff, friendly and easy to deal with. They got my project (which was always going to be a hard sell to the planners due to its location) through planning and building control first time. I was so impressed.

My partner and I read the reviews and spoke to a few architects before choosing Glenn and Darren's team as they "just got it" straight away. They understood what we wanted to achieve and designed our thoughts onto a set of plans.

Couldn't recommend them highly enough

I don’t normally bother with writing reviews but I am so pleased I thought I would make an exception. We recently had a large extension completed on our 4 bedroom house and the entire process from start to finish was smooth and transparent and I am absolutely delighted with the service that Bluelime have provided. From when they first came out to speak with me and my husband to the final designs to the builders they introduced us to, I cannot fault any part of the process and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. The quality of the designs were better than expected, we even had a Virtual Reality Tour of the final design before we made our planning application which was really useful. Thanks to the entire team.

Dealt with a chap called Mark to begin with and he visited us to give us an overview of our project and what we could achieve. We then signed up and our site survey was completed as organised. Once we met our Architect we went through our project brief and he had some amazing ideas. It took approx 2 weeks for the initial design to be completed and it was fabulous. We asked for a few changes and these were completed quickly. From that point our planning application was made by our Architect and it took approx 9 weeks for a decision. Even though the design was pushing the boundaries of the planning regulations our Architect dealt directly with the planning office and negotiated the final approval, we were very impressed. Technical design process was easy and straightforward and they even organised the structural engineer and building control. At the end they were able to suggest a few builders and we picked one who starts the build in 2 weeks time. The entire process from start to finish has been brilliant and we would highly recommend Bluelime. We have used other Architects in the past but this type of support was next level. Just received our first draft of house plans which we are delighted with. All our requests about what we wanted have been taken on board and with so many more ideas which we would never have thought of! The team are always so helpful and go above and beyond. A totally professional service which i would highly recommend.

Would not recommend overall, they did rush through a job for us but when things went wrong like the architect making a very simple error on the loft calculations they did not apologise or offer to fix it. I found the director aggressive and feel at every stage the company tries to rip you off instead of advise.

would not recommend. the design was good, the communication was decent; however the builder they use often was a complete cowboy.

started January with a June 5 finish date stated, finished on November 11th according to them, only because i had to keep emailing to get them to finish as he was busy with bigger projects. one person working on the project at a time. one month no one turned up for three weeks. A tutton was the builder (Alan tutton kent area i believe). im still being emailed because they havent actually finished sealing the steel works on bean outside so wilkinson construction consultants are on my case telling me it needs to be resolved with a time limit, which i have no idea how to resolve.

laminate floor sinking in even though i was promised it wouldnt get worse than it already is, will have to pay for someone to come and redo half of it as the floorboards are now on different levels.

dimmer switches dont dim properly and change brightness by themselves. switches get hot and have to pay electrician to fix it.

rendering not finished, builder took scaffold away after i said he was taking ages for a small project, had to pay £900 for more scaffold to fix contracted rendering to the new part of the house.

bluelime was decent at first but sided much with their preferred builder. project was delayed from month 2 however the builder said it wasn't so project manager zohaib just agreed even though you can clearly see its behind.

holes in light switches not even filled in so i have holes all around the house. getting minor shocks from them as well which I'm sure is not safe.

plumbing running through bedroom with no filling inside to stop any noise so any flush wakes up person sleeping in that room.

uneven flooring in new build. first excuse when mentioned was its never going to be perfect because its on old flooring, but when i mention the new build new flooring is uneven there is no response.

very unprofessional in the end which is sad because the start of things seemed very promising. the architect done a good job with the design, if you use these refuse Alan tutton as your builders or be prepared for a cowboy to show up with a smile on his face pretending he's amazing when he does bother to show up. also be prepare for blue lime to side generally with the builder.

if you use this company get the design and planning permission from them only do not waste your money on anything else with them just go elsewhere do your own research for a builder and team don't make my mistake
