Experience has been a nightmare.

I bought a car from BMW Tunisia and the whole experience has been a nightmare.

Ignored messages and misleading dates.

My passport was withheld, leaving me stuck in Tunisia and unable to return to France.

I lost more than €4500, with no car delivered and no compensation.

I also suffered significant moral and emotional distress due to this situation.

What is most shocking is that I sent several detailed emails to BMW Group headquarters: despite being fully informed, they have taken no action whatsoever.

For a brand that calls itself premium, this lack of responsibility is unacceptable.

I am not so sure about "the ultimate driving machine" thing but they have very good cars. The 4 coupe's are allright, 5 series with the xdrive packages are really comfortable and roomy. I like em just fine.

The worst customer service

Poor design flaws and won’t own up to them. Major problems with wheels, drainage (look at sloshing water). When you address them so they can rectify and resolve they want to blame you for it. I will never get another BMW and that is after owning 6 of them.

I paid for the insurance on the tires

I paid for the insurance on the tires, then I ran over a nail. They DO NOT HONOR the insurance ON SUNDAYS because its a third-party insurance company, but after kicking and screaming like a petulant child, they agreed to let me just pay it and assume it would get honored.

Great! Thanks BMW!

Appalling standard of preparation

I recently purchased a 650i from Stratstone Derby and when collecting all seemed fine. On the 200 mile drive home numerous faults were identified including a broken door lock, smelly air con and blown speakers!
I immediately reported this and it was agreed that I could take the car into my local dealer in Colchester. They ordered the relevant parts and the vehicle was booked in.
On the day work started the dealership phoned to say there were serious problems with the vehicle and the amplifier was underwater and there was a large amount of water in the rear of the vehicle causing various degrees of corrosion.
I immediately informed Stratstone and rejected the vehicle, I was then informed it was my responsibility to return the vehicle (200 miles away). I asked how I would be able to get home after this and was told they would give me a lift to Derby train station. What a joke. I then had to pay for the car to be transported back to Derby.
I requested that this money be refunded but was told no.
I then contacted the pathetic BMW customer services team (Sarah), who having heard my story took ten mins to decide that they wouldn't help and couldn't do anything about the situation.
BMW proudly advertise they carry out exhaustive checks on their vehicles, in my case it is obvious that did not occur and the dealership does not have the decency to to pay for the vehicles return or explain how the vehicle was supplied in such a bad state.
My next move will be a solicitor as I will not let this drop.
BMW have now lost another customer although with their profits they won't give a damn.

Unacceptable experience.

I will try and keep this short because if I go in to details it'll be a very long! There was recently a recall on my vehicle, BMW said not to drive the car as this is safety recall, they will pick up the car and give me a replacement in the meantime, the same day. Did this happen? No.

It took me two days of calling up, chasing them, promised call backs and not forgetting the waiting time before speaking to someone! Me as a customer had to all the leg work, when I get throught to someone, they will be like nothing has been done, or I need to call the dealers, I was just going round in circles. Eventually things got sorted, well nearly. They said I should get a like for like vehicle or will try best, did say to them I do need a large car as i have a family. So I get a 3 series.

Was thinking 3 series and 7 series not very like to like is it. I got the car changed eventually.

You think that they have recall in place and they will be well prepared.

I made a Complaint to BMW customer service and next day received a phone call from BMW, explained everything, they apologised and as a good will gesture they sent me a hamper.

Anyway over a week passes by and get a call from BMW saying car is ready and arranged a time for pick up, anyway after waiting as usual the rep sees me and hands me the keys, I go to inspect the car and I notice scratches everywhere, they also gave the car a complimentary wash and vac... yh right, it was still dirty.

I went and got the guy out and showed this to him, I could tell buy his face that this wasn't BMW's fault, I explained to him that when the recovery truck came to pick up the car he inspected the car for damages, he only marked down on his paper scuffed alloys and one very small dent and I agreed and signed. I know there was no scratches because I keep my car very clean and scratch free, I detail my own car so I will know if I had scratches.

The guy said he will take picture and speak to manager and review cctv footage and will call me back later. When I did get the call he said nothing is showing on cctv and it's not them, even though the recovery made a note everything minus the scratches, they turned and tells me we can't rely on what the guy said or what was written down. That just got my blood boiling, he should've just said to me "you're lying and they have been there from before"

The BMW guy said bring it and we can try buffing it out but by then I was already cheesed off and declined. I just don't trust them anymore.

I won't be spending my hard earned money with them anymore, my next car purchase will be from the other German rival. I won't even recommend BMW to anyone.

My advise is always take pics of your car before giving the car to them for what ever reason, at least you will have photographic evidence if they damage anything.

They are happy to take our money but not provide that high level of service. Sending me a basket full of biscuits and jam won't restore my faith in BMW.

It's also time to contact Watchdog.

Appalling Service - BMW Cooper Teesside

I have purchased 2 vehicles from BMW Cooper Teesside and can honestly say that I would strongly recommend against using this dealership. Each time I have bought a car from themselves, the sales process has been smooth (as expected) however the service from the Service department is a disgrace and their organisation is somewhat appalling.

To give you some background, I had purchased my most recent vehicle back in December 2015 and was assured by their Sales team that the log book for the car I was purchasing would be sent over to the DVLA to confirm change of ownership, this couldn't be done the day of purchasing, as they had not arranged for the log book to be transferred from their Sunderland dealership. A month passed and I had not received notification from the DVLA that the vehicle was now registered in my name, I followed this up with my Sales contact, who advised that they had made an error and that this would be actioned as a priority. With this in mind, I explained that my insurance policy could essentially be invalid due to me not being the official registered keeper. BMW then offered to add me their own insurance until this issue was resolved. Surely it should have been Cooper Teesside advising me of this, due to their apparent experience within the motor trade, not the opposite way around?

I have since received my log book this week however I have now received a letter from the DVLA stating that my vehicle is due to me clamped or taken away as this has not been taxed or declared SORN, despite BMW Cooper Teesside's assurance when purchasing the vehicle that they would tax the vehicle. On the day of purchasing the vehicle, I had to produce my insurance cover note which was sent over to my Sales contact to ensure that the vehicle could be taxed, it seems that this was never actioned.

I have since called their offices to speak to my Sales contact or a Manager however I have been advised that neither were in the office at the point of me calling. I am now left with a vehicle that cannot be driven until this is resolved and BMW Cooper Teesside are unable to accomodate my request of a courtesy car until this issue is resolved.

My honest advise would be to stay clear of this dealership and go elsewhere, where you will feel a valued customer and receive a high level of customer service.

Great cars!

I bought a 135i a couple months ago and love the car. They even had the car hidden behind sliding doors and unveiled it to me with mood lighting and music, was quite impressive. The cars are expensive, however the quality and the performance make it well worth it.

No service

I was recently looking around to buy a bmw in the chesterfield store, I was brousing the cars outside for quite a while and not one member of staff came out to assist me, they were clearly too busy chatting inside. I was quite appalded by this as they had obviously seen me. I decided to leave and bought a car elsewhere.
