Bombay Hair I’ve been using their Hair Tools for 6 years. The quality is one of the best. Just recently I purchased the Thermal brush and WOW! It’s the only one that is interchangeable, more options for brush size. It takes me about 10-15 mins to style my hair. Looks like a fresh blowout. I get so many compliments. I would highly recommend this company. The clip in hair extensions I’ve had for 6 years I still use. You won’t be disappointed. Also, the packaging is so pretty.

Shockingly bad customer service.
The curling tongs crackled with sparks when plugged in and didn't work.
Dealing with their customer service team is like disputing a parking ticket with the council. I must have sent over a dozen emails over a couple of weeks just to be told that it's not their policy to offer refunds for faulty products.
After multiple emails citing uk consumer law, I eventually got a partial refund, but I'm still out of pocket.

Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Purchased hand tied golden blonde weft 20” inches on 11/27/24. Have been ordering from Bombay hair since 2016 and never had a problem with quality. I had ordered this product in April of 2024” as well for the first time since previously had ordered clip ins. From April to November it was in perfect condition the whole time and felt it held up better than stylist recommended. I had my reinstall appointment on 12/18/24 and today is 12/29/24. In 10 days with normal brushing always using the recommended loop brush and wide tooth comb that’s listed in their website under proper maintenance I’ve seen extreme fraying already on one of my wefts. Since install I have only washed my hair one time on 12/25/24. It’s clear that there’s been an issue with a recent golden blonde hand tied batch that after 10 days this has happened. For $150 there should be better quality control. I will be reaching out to the company to complain further . Do not order from them take this as a warning don’t waste your money.

Has anyone ordered I-Tip extensions from here, if so what are they like?

I wanted to share my recent experience with BombayHair’s halo extensions, hoping it helps anyone considering purchasing from them.

After doing some research and reading positive reviews, I decided to give their halo extensions a try. They have a strict policy that if you open the package, you can’t request a refund or exchange. To help with this, they provide a small sample to inspect before opening the actual product. The sample seemed okay, so I proceeded to open the package.

Unfortunately, once I did, I was really disappointed. The hair was incredibly thin, and the halo wire system felt flimsy and poorly designed. This was far from the quality I expected based on their marketing and reviews.

I contacted their customer service to explain my concerns, but they refused to help, citing their policy. While I understand hygiene concerns, I feel this policy puts customers at a disadvantage when the actual product doesn’t match expectations.

I’m sharing this to warn others. If you’re thinking about buying from BombayHair, be extra cautious and make sure their products truly meet your needs before opening anything.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with them, or found better alternatives for halo extensions? Let me know!

This hair is amazing quality!! Doesn’t get tangled when it’s wet and very smooth and silky. Hair is a bit light but it’s amazing quality!

Extensions of this price with other companies are said to last 12-18months. Saying it is passed it's date of 4 months wear is brutal! They saved themselves by saying they last 3-12 months, but they say it's depends on how much styling and not how it falls apart at the weft. It started falling apart 2 months in. Buyer beware never to buy here. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the expectation that we need to buy over $2400 in extensions in a year because their sewing quality is sub par. I've had many different brands, and really bad hair from some, and never have they just pulled out of the weft like this after only a couple months. I messaged them when I couldn't handle it anymore at 4 months wear. This was a mistake. But seeing other reviews their customer service is bad anyways. They've had complaints on the better business bureau about hair quality and falling apart within a couple weeks after opening the package and they still don't help.

My natural hair color ( never dyed my hair ever) matched almost closely to their off black invisible taped hair extensions . After purchasing and wearing them for 2 months wearing them ( I only WASHED tape extensions ONCE a week) , I noticed the entire collection I wore had changed colors now and DO NOT match my hair color at all. It looks like a reddish, orange, light brown over dyed hair extensions, it now no longer looks like the color when it arrived. The packaging was impressive but the color quality DID NOT remain so because of this I will keep looking for other brands that can promise the color stays the way they advertised and selling it as.

Quality of hair is gone, customer service HA don't bother ordering or calling unless you want to be out hundreds of dollars with no one that cares!

April 2024, I just had the worst experience with BOMBAY hair, a brand I had used and thought I trusted. Unfortunately, the quality of hair has degraded so much that you're better off wearing old extensions until you can buy more. Most recently, I thought this must have simply been a batch that wasn't seen right enough, but their atrocious customer service tells me this is an ongoing issue. They don't trust their product, they just look for ways to make you responsible. Spend your money elsewhere. Custer service said that purple shampoo would make it unravel. Ridiculous,

I’ve finally had it, after 8 years of supporting this company spending approximately $32,000 on extensions I am done. Final straw happened today. I’m just summarizing each horrible interaction with them the last two years in bullet point form but this company use to be amazing and it’s absolute trash, and their customer service is just as bad. Time to move on to the next supplier ladies.
- 1st batch of 2023 (I get 6 packs) came in three different shades of blonde, although I ordered the same white blonde shade. Easily fixed with a toner but they were clearly all very different to begin with and the quality was poor and straw like after first wash. Prior to this batch I loved this brand.
- 2nd batch of 2023 I paid $2000, and for next day shipping. They message me three days later to tell me they are all sold out of 24 inch blonde extensions and they are now backordered for two months. They offer to send me what they have of 24 inch and 22 inch instead. In a pinch, I deem this my fault for not ordering sooner and agree. They get the extensions to me about a week later no refund for the next day shipping, it took an additional week and two follow up emails to get the refund for difference in price for the lengths. Again they came in multiple shades of blonde and quality was poor. This is when I began to realize they are tossing ANY similar shade to the one you order in your order if they don’t have your actual shade in stock.
Christmas 2023 - I ordered silk pillow cases, followed the instructions on the tag to wash them after first wash absolutely destroyed it looked like they had been washed with bleach even though I washed them alone, just detergent with cold water and let air dry. Material was destroyed as well they felt fuzzy and almost burnt instead of silk. I also bought their 5 in 1 it broke within 3 months. All garbage quality items.- 2024 1st batch, everything is listed in stock. I place my order and forgo express shipping this time as I was ordering a month in advance. Same round about I get the email saying they’re out of stock again I mentioned that this has happened before and also that at the time of their email it still shows on the website the hair was in stock and suggested they fix this as it’s false advertising. Again they tell me it’ll be a multi month wait for the length I wanted. They also told me this will more than likely continue to happen because I “order such a high quantity” I ordered 4 packs of 24 inch 2 packs on 22. So 4 packs in the same shade and length will always put them out of stock, good to know from an international company. They had 2 packs of the 24inch but were missing the other 2. Knowing they just send any blonde shade they feel like this time I asked if they had any other 24 inch blonde shades available. First the answer was no, then it was yes but only one pack left in that one as well. They also take about 24 hours to respond to each of their emails so this was done over a multiple day span. Then they came back later and said they found a second and could complete the order with the correct lengths. Great. Of course they came three different shades one was a darker yellow blonde even though it’s called “platinum” it was more difficult to get toned but my stylist did her magic. The ends look like horse hair after two washes.2024 their 40% off flash sale: By now I’ve realized their next day shipping is no longer honoured, they’re going to throw in any shade “close enough” to the one you want, and are always going to be out of stock with a two month backorder for any long lengths so I got excited when I seen 40% off extensions, alright now’s my chance to stock up and pay the price their hair is now worth. I was only able to add one pack of extensions to my cart for the sale. That’s fine, I think to myself I’ll just make sure to get “white blonde” and “platinum” one pack each everytime I see this sale until I get the amount I need. So I check out one pack of each and immediately after they say “back ordered”of course. Anyways, mission accomplished I waited for the hair to show up. I open one box, cool blonde perfect. I open the next box of “white blonde” it’s almost brown. It was so bad I started laughing. It was a dark honey blonde/brown with orange undertones. Look, it was already bad enough they were throwing in “close enough” shades the last two years but this I can’t even use. I took a picture of it beside my regular extensions and it’s like black and white. Hilarious. This was only funny to me because it was $75 vs $260 and I should have known when they no longer care about high paying customers OF COURSE they gave 0 f’s about someone buying a sale item marked down more than 50%. I sent them an email, and they told me it was final sale as stated. Yes, I saw final sale but they didn’t send me what I purchased.This company has gone so far town the toilet just avoid it at all costs.

Worst costumer service ever! Be aware they don’t stand for their return policy and they will never refund you back .

The website was really intuitive and I was able to get to my desired product rather quickly when compared to other sources.

Terrible hair quality! My hairstylist sewed in Bombay weft extensions and it’s beyond horrible. After two washes, it felt like doll hair. I’ve had extensions in the past using another brand and this never happened. My stylist had to remove the extensions and they can barely be brushed through due to the knots. I take very good care of my hair and this was a very bad experience for me. We are ordering a different brand and installing new extensions. The reviews on their website have to be fake because this hair is beyond awful.

DO NOT BUY THEIR EXTENSIONS!! They have been trash this last year. I’ve used Bombay for about 6 years and this last set lasted with the initial install then moving them up they started to unravel at the weft. My stylist noticed that the hair was not secure to the weft and was actually moving on it. Sent it for “warranty” it has to be unopened hair. How in gods name do you warranty something that’s not even opened! Don’t you worry they offered to send my crap unraveling unusable hair back to me AT MY COST lol even sent me an invoice. I will never buy from them again and my stylist will be telling all the clients she referred to stay away. This company is a joke!

The worst customer service ever! I order my wand 2 weeks ago. The ONLY delivery option was next day dpd £6.99. Anyways still purchased, money went out. 4 days later check my status and it said order unfulfilled? Contacted them and they said sorry product was out of stock we will send it now. Week and a half later, status still says unfulfilled and I have been trying to contact them via email on 6 occasions and I’ve heard nothing?????

I ordered 100% mulberry silk pillowcase and crunches as per the advertisement on their website but after checking OEKO-TEX 100 label which they do not provide on the website I needed to email to get it (which it is already suspicious) I understood that on the label description it is written that the material used is blend of silk and cotton and other materials. After contacting them they refused to let me return my order because I bought during holidays relying that it is final sale. Even if regular return policy was 14 days which still will apply to my order. Not reputable company, which don't care about their customers, selling fake quality silk items. Do not recommend it.

Hair extensions colour was not accurate - I ordered caramel brown & the extensions that came were more of a yellow blonde (but not a nice yellow). The hair quality was not great either, was dry & tangly after 1 wash

I also ordered a couple of heat mats & combs which were ok. They did have good customer service but I will not order hair from here again due to the quality.
