I stayed at an apartment 46 Rue des L*mb*rd*, Paris, 1st Arr.
Anyone who wants to stay in this apartment, I want to warn you that it will be IMPOSSIBLE to get your deposit back. The amount of deposit was quite high. It was worth little over 3k. Even though I left the apartment in the best condition compared to other apartments I had ever lived in, he nit picked every single flaws and for a small scratch on the wall, small stain on the kitchen counter due to the nature of the design of the kitchen, he took out half of my deposit money. He was not willing to negotiate at all, in fact I felt like he was trying to take profit off of my deposit money. He said he had to change the whole entire wall and furnitures, and remodel the kitchen for a small scratch that was hardly even noticeable (about 3 cm). I felt like he wanted to remodel the apartment using my security deposit.

I constantly had problems with the Wi-Fi situation (wi-fi was included in the bill). Even when I informed the landlord, he did not fix my problem. He just said “it should work” So I had to menage living without wifi for 4 months when I was paying the full price of the rent.

I used the Book-A-Flat agency. Overall, as a foreigner, who is not from France, the only form of communication I had was via emails. In general, the response was very late. But I managed to get the apartment. Even though it was listed as Wi-FI included, after I signed the contract, the owner said he forgot to inform me that the Wifi was not included. I had a long argument to defend my case of getting the wifi, as it was listed on the website.

As an international student who has a family living in a foreign country, I felt like I was in a very unfair situation, and the landlord was trying to take advantage of me. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I had been though. So PLEASE reconsider getting the apartment.

Book-a-flat introduced a malicious lady in my flat in 2015 who stopped paying the rent after 3 months. Book-a-flat knew the person had done this before, they were perfectly aware of the issue and didn't warn us. I had to embark on a very long and nerve-wrecking legal process to move the person out of the flat. The French law makes it extremely difficult and long to get the occupier out. Book-a-flat did not provide any help and refused to participate in the costs. It was all our problem, not theirs. All they care about is charging their high fees to the landlord and, when they can, to the tenant. This is a perfectly true story. They had Truspilot remove my previous review which is unacceptable. Nobody called me to check the facts. I stand by my review.

I have had a very good experience when it comes to dealing with the people I have in order to find a studio in Paris. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the studio myself, so a friend of mine visited on my behalf and forwarded all my documentation to the agency. After that the communication and respons time on emails has been excellent. Helpful and detail oriented when it comes to explaining the steps of the process and making sure that everything is in order. Great service and nothing but good words to say.

Thanks to Book A Flat, they've made it possible for me to rent a flat in Paris. For those who may not know, renting a property in the French capital is quite a complicated process and without the proper help and sound advice from a professional letting agency like Book-a-flat, this could easily become extremely frustrating.

They rent nice places, but we had a bad check in experience. There was a problem with payment from our side, and we discussed this with Book a Flat. We let them know that we would like to check in on our first day of rental. We requested that they could already work on our check-in, but they refused. We submitted the proof of payment on the day of check in around 14:00, but because of their lack of preparation we could still not check in and had to go elsewhere with all our luggage. Of course, this could have been avoided if our payment issues did not occur, but I would expect some support from Book A Flat in this scenario, since we pay them a lot of money. In the end we were called by another company (Book a Flat does not do the check in), and they could only do check ins during office hours. This would have been fine the day before, but we had to work the day after. All in all, this was not a nice experience.
Anyway, the apartment is nice and the owner as well, and the check in guy too. However, nothing is really thanks to Book a Flat.

I want to stretch the nuance: Book a Flat is very polite and fast in communication, so that is actually nice. I just had a bad experience

Rented out an apartment in Paris through Book-a-flat. Even for international clients, Book-a-flat sends you a French contract. It’s you’re job to know what it says and know what you’re responsible to pay. They told me of rent fees and deposit money but did not alert me of habitation tax fee.*** Even when I’m moving out in December, they had me sign a contract with dates past january 1st giving me the responsibility of paying habitation tax. I even told Mariana multiple times that I was moving out sometime in December. She even contacted me for a showing to a possible tenant in November.
Getting an email response back takes days and hard to reach by phone. My overall impression is that company has no interest in tenant friendly service.
If this company is dealing with significant number of international clients, it’d be transparent to prepare an english contract.

Sales people were friendly. On the other hand, the contract process was very stressful. It would be better if the person in charge uses softer words instead of threatening the clients, be available for questions and to be more kind in general. More attention to avoid mistakes would be appreciated.

We used Book A Flat to rent a furnished apartment for our daughter for a year in Paris. The service is impecable. We always received an answer in less than 24 hours (mostly because of the difference of time). The apartment is very well maintained. The quality of service didn't stop once our daughter was settled.The team is always available to help in a timely and polite manner.
I highly recommend Book A Flat and I would gladly use their services again.

I do not do many wire transfers and international dealings so there were some frustrating parts but Elodie stayed calm and helped us get through the process.

Couldn’t recommend this agency more to people looking to rent a flat in Paris. Whilst you still have to go through all the effort involving documents and contract-signing, etc, it’s invaluable having an agency to hold your hand through the entire process. Once you’ve expressed interest in a particular flat and have submitted your dossier, responses are quick and informative. Only slight problem I found was that flats are occasionally listed as available on the website when they are in fact not.
