Excellent service in Vietnam
Excellent service in Vietnam. Bookaway managed a few of our trips this time and all always showed up with bells on and never any hassle. But that is Vietnam, when you think they forgot they turn up to pick you up and delivered us to a limosine service. The driver was awesome and very safe. We had the best meal of the 2. month trip at a roadside cafe for literally 75 cents each. So good. BTW ALWAYS TIP the driver, threy have families to support and do not get the bulk of the dosh. 100 000 VND is good but more is better.

Terrible service
Booked a mini van in advance to bring us from Diani Beach to Nairobi. Didnt show up. Called and texted multiple times, didn’t reply and didn’t even receive my messages. We waited for 1 1/2 hours from 1 am to 2.30 am. We had to find a place to sleep in the middle of the night. Also had to book a flight instead of taxi/bus to catch our plane back home. Don’t recommend booking with BookAway. Terrible service and not reliable.

Title: Misleading pricing and deceptive double currency conversion
I am writing this to warn other travelers about Bookaway's deceptive billing practices. I booked two seats advertised at $18.00 USD each, bringing my expected total to $36.00 USD. Instead, Bookaway charged my card $42.49 USD. Upon investigation, I discovered they secretly converted my $36.00 USD total into €36.35 EUR, and then forced a conversion back into USD at checkout. This arbitrary double conversion added unauthorized fees to my bill. They also advertised free cancelation but when the unpriced confirmation came the pick up time was wrong. It would not allow alterations,so I cancelled and they charged me. This is completely misleading and unacceptable customer service. Avoid this platform.
Regarding your reply. Non of the charges and convertions were displayed or sent to me until after i paid and made my booking. You sent emails to me stating booking cacelled, but no prices other than on the advertisnment fo $18 per seat and free cancellation. I only found out about this when i checked my payments pending in my bank and saw my $36 had turned into $42.25. That is when i quieried it, and you sent changes and explinations. Although the payments and refunds were under dispute and blocked with my bank until the dispted dynamic currency conversion was investigated, you still went in through the back door and took unautorized payments from my bank account with Bookaway Nicosia.
You keep asking for my accounts screenshots to sort this out, but as you know. You cannot screenshot accounts because of bank security. The only thing I will accpet from you is a $36 charge for the ride as advertised and you return the extra money you have taken in your unauthorized currency conversion. The full amout refunded for the free cancellation. But I am happy to wait for the banks dispute resolution, as it is not the money. It is the underhanded practise and false advertising that people need to be aware of.
The ride itself was fine, even with the late arrival due to bieng sent to the wrong pick up point, but a nice, comfortable,journey and no complaints there.

During the booking process, before payment is completed, the final total is clearly displayed, including the applicable Bookaway service fee and the payment currency. By completing the booking, you agree to these final booking details.
Regarding the cancellation, we can also confirm that the free cancellation period and its applicable timeframe were clearly displayed throughout the booking process. Once that period expired, the booking became subject to the operator's cancellation policy, and the applicable cancellation charges were applied accordingly.
For transparency, we also shared screenshots from the booking process showing the pricing breakdown, payment information, and cancellation policy exactly as they appeared before your purchase.
That said, we value your feedback and would like the opportunity to discuss this further. We've reached out to you again privately to see if there is any additional goodwill gesture we may be able to offer and to ensure we've addressed all of your concerns.

Made a silly mistake and booked the wrong date. Contacted Bookaway immediately after booking to find out that no changes are possible.very disappointing policy considering this change would have been made within 5 minutes of the booking.

Bookaway Scam
Through Bookaway, we made a booking with reservation number BW5277832 with the company YallaGo for 25/06/26 at 6:00 AM in order to travel from Cairo to Luxor. We were at the meeting point, Panorama Ramses Hotel & Café, half an hour before the scheduled departure time and waited for one full hour after the departure time. Nobody ever showed up. We never received any phone call or any notification informing us about what was happening with our booking.
I sent 15 emails to Bookaway, and I was clearly receiving automated responses from a bot, since I was not given any actual information or solution. The phone number provided on the ticket as the contact number was completely out of service.
As a result, we lost our sleep, missed our destination, and our travel plans were ruined. We never received any refund or compensation, even though we had paid the full amount immediately at the time of booking. We are talking about an amount of over €100.
I would never recommend trusting this company under any circumstances. I have never felt so disappointed and offended by the behavior of a company in my life. It is obvious that we were deceived and that our money was taken without providing the service we paid for.
This incident completely ruined our mood for the rest of our trip. Furthermore, we intend to take legal action in order to claim the amount we paid, as well as compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused.
If you do not want your trip to be ruined, NEVER TRUST BOOKAWAY.

I didn’t go ahead with my travel plans with Bookaway unfortunately due to illness so had to cancel. I messaged Bookaway through WhatsApp and their response team was quick and efficient with the situation.
