Ordered at the Caravan show modular air…

Ordered at the Caravan show modular air 330 awning was told 6 weeks waited well over a year due to constant excuses, when it did eventually turn up after us trying to cancel order the connections were all wrong so awning is useless. Several emails later no resolution please stay clear of this company.

Bradcot. All hot air and terrible product

I have the Bradcot air awning 2
After 3 catastrophic failures on separate ruined holidays where the struts and bladders exploded due to stitching failure, I would stay well clear of anything from Bradcot. Note that it was inflated to the correct pressure on all occasions.
Their customer service is terrible, as is their product quality. I have lost confidence to the point that I would rather bin it than waste more money on a repair from an abysmal company in the hope that I won’t be let down again. My time and money and hard earned caravan holidays are too precious to take any more risks. Take heed of the one star reviews and please go elsewhere for an awning.

Steer Clear of Bradcot

Steer Clear of Bradcot
I Purchased an Air Aspire 390 a few years ago. from the outset I had problems with rain leaking through the front window seams. I'm an experienced caravanner and know how to weather an awning. I asked for a refund under guarantee but allowed Bradcot to talk me into waiting until the following season hoping the problem would resolve. I spent the next few seasons trying different fixes suggested by the MD until again requesting a refund at which point their response was to send it back for testing!!! I'm infuriated I sent regular updates every season with video and photo evidence of rain leaking through. They sold me a faulty substandard product and have not the decency to stand over the warranty.

Beware of Bradcot!

Beware of Bradcot!

We bought a Bradcot ModulAir awning in spring'21. In June '22 two of the tubes burst. I asked for a replacement as it was still under warranty and had had little use. The dealer, under the direction of Bradcot refused to honour the warranty.

Despite clear evidence to the contrary (prevailing weather conditions, photos, video and eye-witness statements), the company took the position that the awning could only fail if it had been misused, used in extreme conditions or over-inflated, none of which were true.

We are long-time caravanners and in my opinion there is a design and/or manufacturing fault.
The caravan is 6.7m and the span between uprights is too big so that the awning flexes and collapses in just moderate breezes of about 15kts. When the tubes collapse, they over-pressurise and put strain on the stitching, causing failure.

After starting a legal action against the dealer they finally agreed on a partial refund in June '23 in order to avoid going to court (and presumably attracting negative publicity). By this time we were so fed up we just took the settlement.

Throughout the whole episode Bradcot were extremely unhelpful, unsympathetic and accusative and point-blank refused to accept that there was a problem with their product.

Any after-sales service and warranty is worthless from a company whose default is to unfairly put the blame on the customer.

We were forced to buy a new awning from another manufacturer which is much superior to the Bradcot.

I hope this helps to make an informed choice.

Purchased a new aspire air 390 awning

Purchased a new aspire air 390 awning, it's a early model with the doors next to the outer beams, this awning has a design flaw. The zips for the bladder are sown in right to the end of the beams. Okay until your on a pitch slightly sloping away from your caravan, this is what happened to me, the 3 beam zips scratched my caravan through the paint down to the aluminium. Several messages to the company to see if they would take the awning back to modify its design fault. The answer was no as it was out of warranty. This is a design fault so it shouldn't matter. No mention of the expense to repair my paintwork. They did offer to send me some bits of felt to put against the caravan of which I declined. In summary after spending well over a thousand pounds I will never purchase a bradcot awning again or recommend them

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. Ordered an awning (which was on sale) for £1,948 on 5th Oct 2022. Received an email on 6th to say the item was out of stock and couldn’t be delivered until “early next year”. This information should really have been on their website!

Cancelled the order on 11th Oct and received cancellation confirmation on email on 14th.

Then nothing.

Started chasing my refund a week later. They never answer their phones or return answer machine messages. I know as I’ve tried dozens of times. Rarely reply to emails and when they do all they can do is assure me my messages are being forwarded to the relevant person.

Have now escalated my claim via legal channels.

Abysmal customer service. I strongly recommend not using this company!

I ordered an awning in February 2022…

I ordered an awning in February 2022 and then ordered the annexe. I had to cancel the order in June, as I needed an awning and could not wait. After many phone calls and emails promising to refund £1,800, I am still waiting. Have now contacted my credit card company and will be getting in touch with Which Legal Team - Helen Jacks

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Quick to take your hard earned money but when they can’t fulfill your order and you ask for a refund they suddenly are too busy to even communicate with you.
It’s 3 weeks since they cancelled our order and we’re still waiting for a refund and now feel forced to seek legal assistance to retrieve our money. Appalling!
It’s a pity because if we’d received the refund in a timely manner then we would have considered purchasing from them again when they had replenished their stock.

Customer services are horrendous.

Under no circumstances would I ever deal with this company again,Customer service is absolutely horrendous ,telephone calls not answered, messages not responded to.Initial e mail generated a response but follow ups were just false promises.
Awnings are subject to valve failure and then you are goosed. If I could give zero stars I would.

Bad. Lies. No item. Never issued refund

Bad. Bad bad bad. Avoid avoid avoid. Not British made. Do not deliver in said time frame. Do not answer phones. Do not send your money from your cancelled order after them taking the mick so you have to contact credit card company. Constant trying to talk you out of cancelling when you have already cancelled and want your refund as the item isn't even in the country! How are you really going to help us who have waited since Feb if you can help people a year after you told them you would. You take our money and run!

Bradcot Modul air V2 + annex

We ordered an new air awning 9 months ago and paid in full through A&E leisure for a sum of way over £2000. We were told that our awning would be supplied around a month later due to the COVID pandemic which at the time was understandable. Along the way we seem to have been fed a continues string of lies and the constant "it should be here on the next shipment, or the its on a truck and should be here early next week. here we are no further forward. Do not buy from Bradcot.

What a great company

What a great company. We bought our awning from them 6 years ago and needed an annexe, they helped me with not only looking at a new one but also advised on a used on and could tell what would fit and cost. Great customer service, well done Bradcot, maybe your team could train some of these other companies how to oeprate

Bradcot Module Air V2

We recently bought a Bradcot Module Air V2. A 260 base plus a 165 extension. We have used this awning twice now - both baptisms of fire! Use one was on IOW, where the awning stood up to strong winds, gusting into the 50s, plus some heavy rain. In the gusts, the awning would bend, and then snap back into position. We had some leaks, but knew about weathering so didn’t worry too much. Second use was up in Northumberland. 3 days of thunderstorms and torrential rain meant we eventually had to evacuate, but the awning coped with the deluge, save for 2 drips where labels are attached at the rail end. I can’t think of any better test for a new Awning! Well done Bradcot!

This is our second Bradcot Awning. We bought their very first Air Awning when it became available. Although there were teething troubles, their Customer Service was superb, including delivering and erecting a replacement awning to us on site! This new awning is superb. Can really recommend it. Flexibility on size options, and bug screen panels mean you can truly have what combination you want.

I would strongly discourage anyone from…

I would strongly discourage anyone from buying from this company. Our porch awning clearly had a manufacturing defect - water would not run off the roof. I contacted the company well within the guarantee period. They refused to accept that there was a problem, preferring to blame me, as a caravanner with 30 years of experience, for putting it up incorrectly. They came up with frankly absurd suggestions and eventually just ignored me. The awning eventually collapsed under weight of water during a thunderstorm. They are ignoring their own mission statement. Sadly this company shows a cynical disregard for genuine problems: they were given many opportunities to help me but failed repeatedly to do so. We have now bought from another company and have a wonderful awning with no problems!

Dishonest P&P charges!!!

The one star is for sending me the correct item. The minus 4 stars is because I take offence to companies who make money out of postage charges. The reason given was the price was for packaging . They charged me 2.67 for a brown envelope. Extortionate..... make your own mind up!!!!
I emailed the company and received a reply which quite honestly was full of excuses not valid reasons.
