Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of the products, citing issues such as manufacturing defects, watches breaking down prematurely, and components like straps and bezels failing. Reviewers also frequently reported problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to access, particularly when seeking repairs or assistance. The high price of the watches was a common point of contention, especially when coupled with perceived poor quality and expensive repair costs. Some people were satisfied with the service they received, highlighting helpful and knowledgeable staff in boutiques, and positive experiences with watch servicing that left their timepieces "like new." However, a small portion of people felt that the company's approach to customer relations was disrespectful, with some feeling pressured to purchase new models instead of having existing issues resolved.

Bought a brand new watch with alligator strap for £4000 and the strap sewing got loose and disconnected. asked Breathing to fix and they want £400 for a new strap. This is ridiculous for a new watch to be dealt like that. would have never happen in Rolex

Absolutely Awful Post-Sales Customer Service

It was my dream to own a Breitling watch, until after 2 years it stopped working. I sent it in for a $900 repair, and after waiting 2 months they sent it back unrepaired and with someone else's invoice. Now it's back with them and they tell me it will take another 6 WEEKS for them to return it to me. Absolutely unacceptable for something I spent $6,000 on. Buyers beware!

I don't recommend you buy a Breitling watch a Breitling…

I don't recommend you buy a Breitling if you want to invest that much in a watch. I have 2 Breitling watches not cheap at all one has the date showing half (manufacture defect) and the 2nd watch the needle that turns inside the watch fell off completely (manufacture defect). Sent both for fixing since they are technical problems and was charges around 2000$ to fix them and they refused to fix the defect in both watches. Will never buy such an expensive watch anymore their service is so bad and not reliable for the amount you pay for such a brand. So dissapointed.

Shocking after Sales & Techincal help

After taking delivery of my Superocean Heritage '57 Highlands. I found the strap was too small So called and asked for help as there was no obvious way to enlarge. Met with be bulked at and very unhelpful member of staff (Ines). Needless to say the watch is now being returned as I didn't need being treated like an idiot. You think spending over £5000 on a watch with a premium company would get you better service. Apparently not!

Delightful CX

I had a question about my watch and the customer relations helped me out with my answers. Very quickly and politely. Definitely the best CX I have have in a very long time by any company.

I bought one of those Iron Man ⌚️ version after one year a keeper just broke, so the watch is still on warranty but it doesn't include the strap, strap is around 100£ and you can't get a keeper. Conclusion is not happy about this and I'm going back to cheap watches and I wouldn't recommend the watch anyway it's not that good, you can get cheaper and better garmin with proper warranty on the full watch including a strap!!!

New battery needed for an endurance,,,quoted £120
which frankly is outrages, Agreed and paid £50-00 deposit, after two weeks enquired after the watch and was told it would be a further 5 or 6 weeks as the watch had to be assessed. I told them I just wanted a battery. Got them to send the watch back and took it to a jeweller who did the job foe £36-00 in half an hour. Didnt get my deposit back from Brietling , poor things am now organising aid packages for them as they must be in a desperate way.

Awful Service! NOTHING SWISS in their behaviour!

Awful, awful service! I’ve sent my Navitimer World for a full service to Breitling UK and after 3 weeks of waiting, they extended the planned delivery date with 4 more weeks, without any explanations, delaying the initial scheduled delivery with two weeks. They need 7 weeks for a job that can be done in a couple of hours by any real professional! Absolutely outrageous! There is nothing SWISS in this behaviour, no precision, no punctuality, no efficiency, no planning!
I have big doubts that the watch has really been sent to the factory in Switzerland, or it’s being “repaired” by some local cheap inexperienced personnel in UK!

Reliability of a 70’s supercar- utter crap!

Reliability of a 70’s supercar, a complete waste of money.

I purchased a Super Ocean Chrono thinking I was buying a watch that was a high quality item from a prestigious brand. How wrong could I be. I’ve spent a fortune on this piece of crap, having it serviced at extortionate cost, with it constantly going wrong. Each time it takes months to repair and comes back running fast or slow. Now the automatic winder function has broken again and the last repair warranty is out (one year only!) so I will have to send it away again at ridiculous cost. I even take it off my wrist when doing anything to avoid any shocks, as I know what a piece of crap it is!

In contrast my friends with Rolexes don’t even bother getting them serviced and have had zero problems. I would honestly tell anyone I can to avoid this brand like the plague. You’re buying something that looks nice but has the reliability of a 70’s Italian supercar. I was going to give my watch to my son, that would be a punishment.

My watch fogged up with water

My watch fogged up with water, but of course it was not a fault of the watch, but me not screwing in the crown correctly, which is BS as i have had the watch for many years and this is the first time. They then quote me thousands of dollars to fix and wouldnt budge given my loyalty and multiple watches purchased from them. Disgusting customer services

Absolutely Shocking

Absolutely Shocking. Had my 24 year old Navitimer in for a full service. It came back not working so I returned it and it came back working but the whole process took nearly 5 Months. After complaints by me and lots of nice customer service words from them I was offered a free service on another of my watches so I decided to have my 20+ year old Super Ocean Professional serviced. After now another 6 weeks and lots of emails they have just stopped communicating. My considered advice AVOID Breitling Service the work is shoddy and the customer service non existant

I'm not surprised at 71% bad reviews

I'm not surprised at 71% bad reviews.
My latest experience with Brietling has been unbelievable.
Took it to the Boutique in Newcastle upon Tyne, to have a new battery fitted and the luminous hand repainted as it had faded, and the push button at 4 o'clock did not work.
Well surprise surprise, total cost of repair £2335, or £2245, or £1845..!!!!! Depending on what I wanted done, this is because they don't make this watch anymore. They said I needed a new case, a new movement, and a new strap. (I have the email)
I have had this watch for 25 years (my late wife bought it for me, so it has sentimental value) never had a problem before, it usually costs £100 for fitting a new battery, actual battery cost is £2.85.
So I told them no chance, I'm not paying anything.
Asked them to return it. I then had a battery fitted at a watch repair shop. I actually watched him do it, took about 5 minutes. Here's the catch, new battery fitted (£25) and the watch will not work at all. Now then.... have Breitling done something to it as I would'nt pay..?
Let you make your own mind up..
Do not buy Brietling watches, the company was taken over in 2022, and thing have gone seriously downhill since then, the bad reviews are proof of this. 71% BAD.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Breitling's repair service. By the time my watch is hopefully returned at the end of March 2025, it will have been with them for three and a half months (over a quarter of a year)—an utterly unacceptable timeframe for a glass replacement and service.

As a longstanding Breitling customer who has owned multiple timepieces, I expected a level of efficiency and professionalism befitting a luxury brand. Instead, I’ve been met with excessive delays and a complete lack of urgency.

This experience has eroded my confidence in Breitling, and I regret to say it will be my last purchase from them. A brand of this stature should be able to offer a more reliable and timely service. I will now be looking at alternative luxury watchmakers who can provide a better customer experience.

If you value after-sales service and efficiency, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

I haven’t experience incompetence at…

I haven’t experience incompetence at this level for a very long time. I have owned several Breitling time pieces for over 20 years with no issues until now. I sent a super ocean in for basic maintenance and cleaning that for some reason turn into a complete overhaul of the time piece. I was told ALL replacement parts would be sent back with the reconditioned time piece. The time piece worked perfectly fine when shipped to Breitling with NO issues what so ever!! Now, $1100 dollars later and almost 4 months my time piece doesn’t work at all!! It has moisture, oil and scratches on the inside of the time piece and crystal.
It has been a week and myself the manager of the store and district manager of Reeds have not heard a single thing from Breitling other than some BS automated email responses. Now, it makes sense why one of Breitling's mission statement is
“#Squadonamission to do better”. because they really, really fall short of that statement in many ways.

I approached Breitling to ask for help with some research into the watch model I own, the query was replied to immediately and passed on to the department that was best suited to deal with the query. The next day I had an email reply giving me the exact details I needed along with some attached artwork to further help. Great job Breitling and again thanks
