Avoid there closed Tanya hughes ran company dry ripped you all off

My regular supplier was out of stock of what I needed so went online... Paid for product, got the usual automated email and waited for the dispatch confirmation, never got it.
Did a bit of snooping on Companies house and the husband and wife team have been ripping customers off for years it seems. Tanya Hughes & Gregory Hughes, found Tanya Hughes on Facebook and PM'd her, no response of course - just look out for when they set up again - as I'm sure they will!

Ripped me off with months out of date malt extract, and after waiting a week for it!
The Chemsan they sold me does not reach the required pH either, I have to triple dose to get to 4 pH.
They never replied to my contact emails. The website showed a telephone number that was inoperative, and now their website has gone and I can't get a refund or replacement. Might have a look on companies house to see who was behind this company, and go and pay them a visit to ask for my money back!

A bit slow to dispatch order fully ( 2 weeks) due to one item being out of stock even though it was shown as in stock at time of order.

I found it difficult to contact Customer Support by telephone but Customer Support emailed and offered a satisfactory substitute for the out of stock item and dispatched it immediately.

T&C's need looked at by Management .

A favourable outcome so 4 stars in order on this occasion.

Shipment took a little longer than expected.Good quality. Everything efficiently and well packed

Damaged items - cleaning chemicals that can be hazardous to humans, animals, and the environment arrived damaged due to insufficient packaging.

Contacted for immediate help due to chemicals in eyes and skin. No communication from customer services - a safety sheet should have been provided (needed to contact manufacturer) to deal with injury.

No customer services contact means no refund for items that arrived in a safe and dangerous condition.

AS OTHERS HAVE STATED - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I am contacting all of their suppliers to inform them of their behaviour. My bank has been contacted and a chargeback dispute is currently in progress. Will be reporting them to Trading Standards and the directors of HUGHES, Gregory and HUGHES, Tanya.

Still waiting. Have been trying to get a refund of £160 for the last 6 months. They don't reply to emails or do anything when you ring them up. Will never use them again

Ordered a Grainfather sparge water heater on Sunday. It was delivered on the Thursday, which I think is pretty good in the run up to Xmas and the current postal strikes. The price was very good compared to other suppliers too. I will definitely be buying from this company again.

Still waiting on an item i ordered on black Friday. Have had to contact the seller several times about it to no avail. Seller claimed they would post next day delivery & clearly making false promises as still not received. Please avoid these guys if you can get items somewhere else better in the UK

Do not buy from this company. They are completely incompetent with regards to communication, sorting out problems and issuing refunds. I cancelled my order after waiting over a week with no contact from the company and no indication my order was being processed. Only then did they contact me several days later with an update which was they were out of stock of some items. It then took them another week to cancel the order and that they would be refunding me. Now another 10 days later and still no refund.

Bought grainfather from them at excellent price. Delivered when expected. Can’t fault their pricing or service.

Company taking orders that show in stock, not to mention good money for postage, then saying they're waiting on stock, with no indication of dispatch. Cancelled order. Just try getting your money back from this mob. Bank charge-back seemed to be the only way. Another customer lost.

Ordered on 1st September as it was in stock and next day delivery, got to the 5th and still no sign. Spoke to customer service on chat and was told they had just received some missing parts of the kit and it would be delivered the next day. Spoke to customer service again on chat on the 7th as it still hadn't come and got a phone call from them saying that my parcel had been returned to them for some reason and was promised it would be here the next day. Waited in for the next 3 days and still didn't come, finally delivered on the 12th.The box was crushed and the tins inside were dented so sent an email to Brewuk to tell them and have since had zero reply. This is my first go at brewing my own beer but will be going elsewhere for the rest of my kit and brews.

Only made one order for an SS Brewtech kettle in April 2022, still not received it, and not getting anywhere with the (reasonably) spaced chases.

I get that I made a pre-order, but nearly 4 months with zero progress or update from them is a bit ridiculous.

I’ve emailed them today to cancel as I’m sick of waiting, but don’t expect a rapid response there either. They’re contact number goes to a BT callminder service, no personalised answer phone message so could be anyone I guess…

Got an email 2 days ago saying they cannot despatch the order I placed on the 9th June because of "staffing issues"... and no further updates since. How can it take a week to despatch an order? It seems they are selling what they can't deliver. I want my money back!

First time used this company saw the negative don't know why I will be using again very competitive quick delivery will use again

Ordered a King keg and other bits and bobs,despite reading a few dodgy reviews.
I didnt need to worry though.
The prices were good,the delivery was quick and well packaged and all my items were there.
I will definitely use again.

Had a few delivery issues at the start which where sorted out by Anthony quickly with friendly attitude unlike some brewing companies I could mention,
Will be using again cheers 🍻

Delivered within 48 hours of their receipt of PayPal payment. Well packed. Tks.

Only problem was PayPal payment. There is something in the title of this product that sets off a warning at PayPal who will withhold payment until they investigate the payment/product. If wine is good and I purchase again will just select different payment method. Not Brewuk.Co.uk fault.

Ordered grain and yeast - payment taken immediately but then nothing! Sent several emails to enquire as to order status and then to cancel and still no communication. Eventually had to pursue a refund through the payment company. Terrible service.
