Very poor advice and terrible workmanship
Very poor advice, and terrible workmanship. I used Brightshield Home Improvements Ltd to remove the spray foam from my loft space, they advised me not to remove the foam from the gable end walls, this would keep the cost down, as it turned out, this is very poor advice. A team of 2 guys arrived and set to work, midafternoon they left with many large bags of foam. Didn’t turn up the next day, I was notified, they did arrive the following day, and according to them, finished the job, when I went into the loft to check everything was done, I didn’t check one end of the loft as the floor is not boarded, the other end was impossible to get to as all the items that were stored in the loft were pilled up in a heap. Not impressed with the cleanliness, but not sure what to expect. Invoice presented and money paid, the guys left with another van full of large bags of foam. The following day I went in the loft to sort out the items, this is when I first saw the gable end walls, and found that there were large areas of foam still on the roof, and the end timbers still buried in foam, pictures taken and emailed to Brightshield, no response, phoned them a number of times, and was promised they would call in to complete the job, but never did, then even the promises stopped. The standard of workmanship is very poor, including damage to the roofing felt when removing the foam. Never did complete the job. I will never use Brightshield again, and can’t recommend anyone else to use them, for any job.
