The app is very easy to navigate, and my counselor is wonderful. The things that detract from the score are the difficulties in clarifying that insurance is supposed to fully cover my appointments. We... See more

Very useful service
My doctor is very attentive and very accessible. I love the check ins bc all the other programs I used never had anything like that. Worth the price
Great for busy schedules
Bright side is great for anyone with a busy schedule and wants to get their mental health right.
Unprofessional
I was matched with both a provider and a therapist. On September 21, I messaged my provider with concerns about my prescription. As of October 9, I still have not received a response.
My experience with the first therapist I was matched with, Holly Morgan, was even more troubling. During our initial full session, I explained that I was in crisis. She ended the session 20 minutes early and allowed me to schedule a follow-up appointment for more than ten days later. Just two hours before that appointment, she canceled it, citing my “nature/complexity.” I can understand a therapist acknowledging that a client's needs exceed their professional expertise. However, describing a client's “nature” as a reason for canceling an appointment suggests that the problem lies with the client rather than the provider's limitations. I asked her to clarify what she meant by that statement, but she never responded. I find this conduct deeply unprofessional and ethically concerning, particularly given that I had explicitly stated I was in crisis.
Since this incident, I have repeatedly requested copies of my medical records and information about the process for filing a formal complaint. As of October 9, I have still received no response from Brightside.
The lack of communication, continuity of care, and accountability throughout this experience has been unacceptable.

Charged my card 97.00 because I was late for an appointment. After I told them they could not do it I wouldn't suggest this company for anything.

I had trouble logging into the virtual chat and got in about ten minutes late. Apparently the so called "doctor" is only required to wait seven minutes even though the visit was scheduled for thirty minutes. I explained to them what happened and asked for my money back and they refused. I have since moved on to another provider.
BEWARE
BEWARE
I told the nurse exactly what I needed prescribed in the intake. She knew she couldn't prescribe that medication, yet decided to still go forward with the appointment, just tell me she couldn't prescribe it.
The appt lasted 60 seconds, and Brightside won't refund the money.
Looking to continue an established care plan? Look elsewhere.
Frustrating and a waste of time. I confirmed my insurance was accepted before signing up, then spent a long time on a detailed intake covering my medical history, current prescriptions, and the reason for my visit (continuing my existing mental health medications after a move). Only at the end was I told my insurance wasn't accepted after all. Since I'd already invested the time and needed refills, I paid the monthly fee and booked an appointment.
It was clear the provider had barely looked at my intake. She made assumptions about my spouse's gender that I had explicitly corrected in my intake answers. She then told me Brightside caps one of my medications below my current dose and won't prescribe a 90-day supply.
All of this could easily have been flagged during the intake. Had I known, I would have gone elsewhere. For a company that claims to make mental health care more accessible, this was the opposite of accessible. Not recommended if you're trying to continue an established treatment plan.

my therapist was very empathetic and he was such a good listener. he made me feel like he was really trying to see my dilemma from my view point.
I scheduled a therapy session for ptsd
I scheduled a therapy session for October 5th with the therapist i planned to have the appointment with on brightside health.com. Scheduled on Sept 21st. Well last night at 9pm(Oct 4th) the therapist Tracy Sineway LCSW canceled the appointment and messaged me that I needed outpatient therapy... no referral nothing just dropped from their services. The one and only therapy session I had with the lady was helpful. But I waited 2 weeks for the next one and she canceled the night before. Actually devastated...
How to I deactivate my account
How to I deactivate my account. I never want to hear from this place again!
The team of doctors was excellent.
Provider?? Yeah, right!!
My provider basically forgot me as soon as our video appointment was over. I ran out of my medications and ended up in crisis visiting my local ER. According to the provider, she has over 100 patients. If that was the case, I made the right choice going to another practice.

The program did not even work for me I was not able to get the help that I needed and the psychiatrist that I was seeing was very nonchalant about the treatment and it was like they were just wanting the money and that's exactly what it was because every time we met she could not do anything for me you kept telling me that she could and she couldn't this place is a joke I would not recommend it to anyone.
My psychologist is the best!!
