very unhappy with shipping policy and lack of notification

i orderered a large amount of tea to allow me the least freight charge possible. to my disappointment i received half my order (which was ok) but, was charged the 'full' freight which did not allow me to take advantage of the reduced freight for larger quantites. I was not notified of this change and there was no written policy letting me know they would not ship my order complete and would cancel the balance of the order.

i emailed the company several times to find a solution and hopefully a compromise on the freight charge since i had purchased product in the past. i work in customer service myself and know i sometimes must acknowledge the company did not act in the best way and there needs to be some middle ground met between the company and client.

after several emails i received a very curt response from the owner John Wells with no recommendation other than the matter is closed and that in the future it was my responsibilty to notify the company if i wanted this shipment to be complete or be notified of changes. I thought this was a poor response considering the company had not prepared me in any way on their website or literature that this was my responsibility.

i was a loyal customer until then...i go elsewhere for my tea.
i would not suggest this website.
