Very rude and unprofessional, steer clear

Howdy,
I don't know who was the person I've talked to on the phone, but that guy, who recommended himself as the owner, was far, far beyond rude. We're a small mom-and-pop business since `77. Our old accountant unfortunately died, God bless his soul, and we were looking for a new one. We've contacted this guy after finding his website, and we were treated with the least respect. He said where do we get the nerve to contact him since we're such an "insignificant business" to quote his words. I don't know who taught this guy to do business, but that's not how you do it. We wouldn't recommend this business to anybody, be it small like us or giant corporations.

I would not recommend doing business with them.

I've helped this business with a technical matter and Ben was supposed to pay me $10 bucks for that since it was a quick fix.

After solving Ben's problem, he had another problem with the business. So he said he has a bigger project for me and that he would need some advice on that matter.

So after I've solved the initial problem for him, gave free advice that otherwise would have been taxable under the pretext of offering more work, guess what: decided to block me, and run off with the $10 bucks... imagine that, HE RAN OFF WITH $10! And I have all the proof, while I've been nothing but polite, so no reason for that.

Would you trust a guy who does that for this little

LE: If ANYTHING you say was true, even so, everything could have been avoided if you didn't block the conversations and release the escrow for the work done and just leave it at that. That would have been the polite thing to do. And you've released the escrow after I've sent the chat logs to Freelancer and also leave this review, so don't try to act like the good guy.
And now, speaking on point:
1. As I've said, you've just blocked me and ignored releasing the escrow. It would have cost me another $5 to solve the dispute, even tho I was entitled to get it.
2. No, my advice was not on a quote, you've already quoted the amount willing to pay, hinted you'd give me the project and then started asking technical questions that would solve your problem.
3. If you didn't agree to my payment terms, you could have said so from the begining when I've asked - as I've said it the very begining of our conversation (again everything is documented and can be proved with the chat transcripts), not talk about your other issue/project and block me after getting your answers. Also, you are implying/suggesting I wanted to cut Freelancer out of the deal, but in reality, the deal would have been to put the project on Freelancer, they get the cut, but you pay me for my work via Revolut as I have no way of getting the funds out of Freelancer. They were ok with that when I've talked to them.

The $10 was paid in advance into escrow at Freelancer.com where you were hired making it impossible to "run off."

Your advice was limited to a quote. Your payment terms were rejected when you aked us to violate the Freelancer terms of agreement by cutting Freelancer (the broker) out of the deal by sending payment through REOLUT and not using Freelancer's escrow.
