Buyblk.com is a scam

Scam Alert..
Dont buy anything from this company, blk.com.

They took my credit card, created a false shipping tracker, and a month goes by still no product.

They tell me stupid reason when I have repeatedly ask why my shipment is not here.

This company is scamming people with their social media advertising.

Do not buy these. I first saw these advertised on either Facebook or Instagram, can't remember which, but they go heavy on the sponsored ads on both platforms. They have thousands of followers on Instagram, but they have to have inflated numbers. If you look at the ratio between comments/likes and number of followers, it doesn't add up. Anyway, I saw their ad and thought this product looked awesome. I need some airpods for handsfree calls while doing graphic design. I just don't want them in white so these seemed awesome! Shipping took about 3 weeks because they come from China. They arrived in a a box with no "BLK Pod" branding at all. They came in a box that said TWS i12. I looked up this product online and found that it's a cheap knock of brand of airpods that can be found on Walmart's website for $23( as of 8-1-2019) and also on other sites like Ali Express. This company is taking another company's product and branding it as their own. Once I received the product I sent them an email stating,"Hi, I received my order today ORDER #6***

I did not receive blk. airpods. Instead I received knockoff i12 airpods that are sold at walmart for $15. Please help. This is false advertising."

They responded with,"Hi ,

We are sorry you feel that way. The pods came in the standard box from the manufacturer because we ran out of inventory at our US warehouse, however the pods and the chipset should be updated with our technology as shown on our website."

Regards,
Sophia Greer

My response back,"Okay, but these are still $20 airpod knockoffs you can buy at Walmart. Not some fancy blk. airpods worth almost $60. How do I go about getting a full refund?

Thank you,"

Their reply,"Hi E***,

If the item has not been opened or used you may simply return the package to the senders address, once we receive the package you will be issued a full refund.

Due to the sanitary nature of the product if it has been opened or used we cannot accept a return, however we can grant a 50% un-satisfactory refund and you may keep the item or we can send you a replacement at no cost.

Regards,
Sophia Greer"

I ended up taking the 50% refund offer since the box had been opened and I did put them in my ears. I've left comments on their instagram and facebook about my experience and they deleted all my comments on instagram and blocked me on facebook from commenting on that post again. Whenever I see their ads I always click the comments. Every once in a while I'll see someone posting about how bad this product, shipping experience and customer service is. When I go back to the post, their comment has been deleted. They're deleting all negative comments on their platforms. The reviews on their website are also either fake or they only post the positive ones. I left a negative review and they never allowed it to be posted on their site.

To make things worse, about 3 weeks ago, they stopped pairing together. I can only listen to one at a time. Instead of acting as a pair, they're acting as individual bluetooth devices. This is beyond frustrating. I emailed them again asking about this problem and they gave me a common list of things to try (all that I had already tried from looking on Google and Youtube). They still won't pair together so they offered to send me another pair free of charge.

Here's that email,"Hi E***,

If the item has not been opened or used you may simply return the package to the senders address, once we receive the package you will be issued a full refund.

Due to the sanitary nature of the product if it has been opened or used we cannot accept a return, however you can choose from one of the following options:

1. We can ship you a working replacement and you may keep your current pair as well.

2. we can grant a 50% un-satisfactory refund without requiring you to ship back your current pair.

Return Policy:

Regards,
Sophia Greer"

It's been over a month and still never received the replacement pair.

Bottom line, this company is scamming lots of people by claiming these Blk Pods are a unique item produced by them, when in reality, they're just drop shipping some knock off product from China and charging 2-3 times the price. They also take forever to pair with the phone when they're working properly. The paint on the metal hinge on the back is coming off and it appears to be a cheap plastic hinge. Also, paint on the L and R on the headphones is wearing off.

In the reviews on their website they show "customers" with pictures of the product which don't even match the product you receive. In one review, the box they come in is all black. Mine came in a white box. In another customer review, the box has "Blk Pods" branded on it. The actual box you receive is white with "TWS i12" on it. Also, on their website they show the pop-up box with "blk pods" when you connect them. When connecting the box actually says i12 and shows up in bluetooth as i12. Some of the pictures show the light on the front of the case with a green light and some show the light on the back. The light is on the back and it's only either blue or red depending on if you are plugged in via lightning cable or charging from the case. Lots of inconsistencies. This is clearly false advertising and there are several threads on reddit about this product. I wish I would have done some research before purchasing. I just want people to know what to expect when dealing with such misleading advertising and then receiving an obvious knockoff of a knockoff of real airpods. I wish there was a way for all the customers who were scammed to do some class action lawsuit, but I know this is not considered a serious issue.

One last thing, there are a bunch of different sites with similar product. Claiming to have these new amazing black AirPods, but they all look the same. The website layout looks the same, and they have similar complaints on Trustpilot and reddit.

The specific site I ordered from was: .buyblk

Other sites with same or similar product:
blvcknoir
blkpods

There are a few more, but you get the idea. I don’t know if it’s one company with a bunch of different websites and different brand names or a bunch of people doing the same scam.

Bottom line, DO NOT BUY THESE.
