⚠️ SCAM Alert — Lost 150,000 USDT to Fake Crypto Investment & IRS Tax Fraud
We were scammed out of 150,000 USDT by individuals operating under the name Cambrian Asset Management (via website cambrianassetmanagement.com or similar). This is a well-structured financial scam disguised as a legitimate crypto fund.
The company presented itself as a secure crypto investment platform promising high returns, offering regular updates and showing fake profit growth in a user dashboard. They created the illusion of legitimacy by assigning a "personal manager" and requesting KYC documents.
🚩 After our investment grew "on paper" to over $400,000, we were contacted about a supposed IRS tax obligation:
💰 They demanded a separate USDT deposit of $30,348.18 as “IRS tax” (7.5% of the account balance), saying that U.S. regulations required it before allowing any withdrawals.
This is 100% false. The IRS never requires crypto payments or third-party deposits like this.
Key warning signs:
They refused to deduct the tax from our account balance;
They demanded a new deposit in USDT to "unlock" the funds;
They cited IRS forms (W-8BEN) to appear legitimate;
They pressured us with a 7-day deadline and claimed account restrictions if not paid;
They promised no further withdrawal fees — but only after the crypto tax was sent.
This was nothing more than a sophisticated extortion scheme.
We’ve lost $150,000 USDT, and they continue to avoid direct questions, while trying to extract even more.
⚠️ This is a high-level crypto investment scam designed to target non-U.S. residents with false IRS claims.
Do not trust anyone from Cambrian Asset Management;
Do not send any crypto for "tax" purposes;
Report this fraud to authorities and crypto platforms.
