Cambridge council's traffic scams
Cambridge council's attitude to traffic is terrible.
The car-park in the centre is £65 per day.
Road signs purposely send people across 5m of 'bus-lane' to fine them.
Loading areas for colleges are for disabled persons only.
Some areas, ( eg: the Hobson St area, or the Park Parade area), of the town, are impossible to get to if you obey road-signs.
There are areas that Google-maps can only suggest driving through college buildings to get there!
They rent out official electric scooters, but have a sign stating that fines will be issued if they are used on the pavements or the roads...
They allow electric delivery motorbikes, masquerading as bicycles, to dangerously weave through the town silently at 40mph. There is no policing of the crowds during the day, or of the drunken thugs by night.
Cambridge Council are an example of what happens when there is no societal governance, and the criminally minded officials are just allowed to fleece the parents of students, rather than providing a means to enter, use, and leave the city safely, as they should be doing.
