Camerons want to charge me for faults that arose following recall work and they were fine with me driving a car with impaired brakes and steering plus a non-functioning speedo!!!

I took my car in to Camerons Audi Perth for recall work to be done (Airbag and a engine sensor replacement) yesterday. The staff seemed very helpful and pleasant. However, shortly after starting my drive home I noticed that the steering wheel centre (where the airbag is located) was off centre by quite a lot. I therefore drove back to Camerons and this issue was apparently rectified (the steering wheel centre looked right this time). However, on my journey home I noticed warning lights coming on and the car just didn't seem to drive the same. When I got home I took pictures of some of the warning messages and emailed them to staff at Camerons. I spoke to Service staff by phone and was advised to bring the car back this morning for investigation. While driving in today I noticed a further problem (in addition to previous warnings about brakes, steering and airbags) - the speedometer no longer worked! The car was subsequently examined at Camerons and I was told that the problems had nothing to do with the work done and that their investigations showed that the problems had actually arisen at 4:50pm yesterday, some time after I had arrived home. I was further told that it would cost me around £250 to have the faults fixed and that they couldn't do this today due to staffing issues. I explained that was unhappy about this as the problems first arose on my way home from having work done there but the Service Supervisor insisted that the problems arose at 4:50pm and that they were not connected in any way with the work they had done. The Service Supervisor was perfectly fine with me taking the car away with the faults present and he said that someone would call me on Monday to discuss my options for repair there. I duly left Camerons but remembered while driving home that I had sent an email (with fault message pictures) to Camerons long before 4:50pm yesterday; I had taken them to show staff there what had happened during my drive home yesterday. I therefore phoned in and spoke to the Service Supervisor again, and he said that he would look into things and someone would call me on Monday. I can't believe that Camerons are looking to charge me for faults that arose after they worked on my car! I also can't believe they were fine with me driving back home in a car with (among other things) compromised steering, brakes and airbags, plus a non-functioning speedo!!!

Purchasing our Audi Q3

From initial information and video supplied by Iain through to driving our Audi away, the experience was faultless and professional - even after all paperwork was completed, he took time to explain everything in detail and with patience. Reception staff were similarly friendly and helpful and the whole process was conducted in a 'no-pressure' manner. Full marks and we'd recommend Perth Audi to anybody

Perth Audi - Fantastic Team

After a nightmare 6-week ordeal at Stirling Audi, where I was left without a courtesy car and my vehicle returned with a dashboard full of warning lights, flashing like a Christmas tree, Perth Audi completely saved the day.
Even over the busy Christmas period, they diagnosed and fixed the initial issue within days. When a subsequent fault appeared, they sorted it immediately at no extra charge. The communication from Emma was top-notch, and the technical skill from Iain (Head Technician) was exceptional.
If you want professional service and total peace of mind, go to Perth Audi. I’d highly recommend avoiding the Stirling branch.

This is our second new car from…

This is our second new car from Cameron's. Clearly, they must have done something right the first time. The whole process was seamless and we were kept regularly updated on the build and delivery progress. The day we arrived to collect the car, it was immaculately presented and the sales team were ready and waiting for us so there was no delay. The handover process was thorough and relevant - and we left delighted with our new car.

This was my first purchase with Cameron…

This was my first purchase with Cameron Volkswagen and my first ever VW. I purchased the T Cross and I’m very happy with my new car. The service I received from Phil has been first class. He explained everything very clearly to me. Took me for a test drive as it’s the first automatic I have driven. Phil made the process very easy. 5* service, I would highly recommend this dealership. I am thrilled with my new car.
