Organising a holiday for a group of friends can be complicated, but the Camisa team made the process straightforward. Communication was clear, questions were answered promptly, and the villa in Puglia gave us the right balance of shared spaces and privacy. Our favourite moments were the long dinners outdoors. A lovely property, attentive service and a holiday we would all be happy to repeat.

A wonderful holiday at Villa Macchie

We booked Villa Macchie in Puglia through Camisa Homes & Villas and were very pleased with the experience. Communication was clear, our questions were answered thoughtfully, and the arrangements were well organised. We appreciated having a helpful point of contact throughout our holiday. A lovely setting for a relaxing stay, and a company we would happily book with again.

We chose Camisa Homes & Villas for our anniversary on the Amalfi Coast and were delighted with the experience. The villa’s sea views and peaceful setting made it a memorable place to celebrate. The team took the time to understand our preferences and offered considered recommendations throughout. Breakfast overlooking the water was a particular highlight. We would happily book with Camisa again.

I stayed in Florence for business and extended my visit over the weekend. The apartment arranged through Camisa Homes & Villas was elegant, well maintained and conveniently located. Arrival arrangements were punctual and straightforward, and the team was responsive whenever needed. I particularly appreciated the attention to practical details, which made a busy trip feel considerably easier. I would gladly use Camisa for future stays in Florence.

For a special birthday, I wanted to bring family and close friends together somewhere memorable. Alessandro and the Camisa team helped us choose a beautiful villa and arrange a private chef dinner that became the highlight of our stay. They listened carefully to what we had in mind and paid attention to the details that mattered to us. Most of all, their support allowed me to relax and enjoy the occasion with my guests.

Finding a villa that suited children, parents and grandparents was no small task, but Camisa Homes & Villas understood exactly what we needed. Our villa in Tuscany offered comfortable accommodation, a beautiful pool and plenty of space to relax together. Communication was excellent, and the team remained attentive throughout our stay. A wonderful family holiday, made all the more enjoyable by thoughtful, dependable service.

We stayed at Villa Lotus in Magliano in Toscana in July, booked through Camisa Villas, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing.
One of the main reasons we chose this villa was because the listing stated that it had air conditioning in all of the bedrooms in the descriptive text, and also in another list of the villa’s facilities. We were a group of 15 people, including seven young children, travelling during one of the hottest weeks of the year, so this was a key deciding factor when booking.

On arrival, we discovered that NONE of the bedrooms had air conditioning. Despite being provided with a number of very old fans, they were noisy and completely inadequate in the extreme heat (mid 30s). The Villa was unbelievably uncomfortable and we had very little sleep, resulting in both adults and children feeling upset and extremely tired throughout our 7 days. 2 families within our group left our holiday a day early as a result of this.

This experience had a significant impact on our enjoyment of what should have been a special holiday. I would strongly recommend against booking this villa in summer months - you will not have a relaxing experience as the whole of the villa is extremely uncomfortable in the heat, in particular the kitchen and bedrooms. The pool is the only benefit of the villa.

The way our complaint was handled was incredibly disappointing. Camisa Villas acknowledged that the property description contained incorrect information. They firstly told us that the villa used to have air conditioning but it was removed around a year ago. They then said it was a translation glitch, and apologised for what they described as an "editorial inconsistency". However, their director refused to accept any responsibility for the misleading description, arguing that because air conditioning was not listed elsewhere in the ‘amenities’ section, they were under no obligation to offer any refund or compensation.

In our view, consumers should be able to rely on the information provided throughout a property listing when making a booking. Had the listing accurately stated that the bedrooms did not have air conditioning, we would not have booked this villa.

Please note that the villa description on the Camisa Villas website (in English) still says it has air conditioning in the bedrooms! So the company are fully aware that it does not have this, but continue to advertise as such.

Mistakes can happen, but how a company responds is what really matters. Sadly, due to the misleading description and the complete lack of meaningful customer service afterwards, I cannot recommend either Villa Lotus Magliano (also known as Podere Bianco) or Camisa Villas.

I hope this review will serve as a warning against the unscrupulous nature of Camisa Villas and their lack of accountability. I would not want another family to have the same experience of a holiday as we had - please take this as a warning to avoid Camisa Villas altogether and choose another company to give your business to.
