We are a family run business for over 100 years and are renowned for supplying an extensive range of fresh meat, fresh fish and delicatessen products to Scotland’s top Michelin star hotels and restaurants. You may have probably been to or desired to dine at a Martin Wishart, Nick Nairn or Tom Kitchin restaurant and wondered if you could enjoy the same delicious meal in the comfort of your home. It may come in as a surprise to you but we supply fresh meat, fresh fish on a daily basis to these top chefs and 1000 other top hotels in Scotland which includes the likes of Sheraton, Balmoral, Old Course, Turnberry and Cameron House. We dry age our beef for a period of at least 21 days which improves the flavour of the meat and makes it more tender thereby making it a prime quality meat which is generally preferred by top chefs. We are proud of our Scottish heritage and our very own Scotch beef brand – ‘Campbells Gold’ which guarantees the best quality meat. We have been offering the same product quality to our household customers via our website www.campbellsmeat.com which is delivered fresh not frozen straight to customers’ doorsteps across the UK mainland in one working day. All meat is traceable back to farm and is born, bred and slaughtered in Scotland with information available to customers.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Unfortunately due to the ongoing Royal Mail strike action and the negative impact this has had on the courier industry we have been left unable to fulfil some of our Christmas orders. We attempted to find another courier for this, but due to the knock-on effect across the delivery industry and the specifics of transporting perishable goods we were unable to source this.

We, therefore, had to make the extremely difficult decision to either refund orders as soon as possible to give our customers time to find alternatives, or risk the chance that Christmas Dinner may not be delivered on time. With a very heavy heart, we chose to do the former as while this is frustrating and disappointing for our customers we felt that the alternative could be far worse.

Our customers were contacted as soon as the decision was made by our Managing Director, and also received an email about their orders, and were refunded as quickly as possible. This has been a great loss to us all, and we hope that this clarifies our position. We can only apologise again for the distress this has caused.

Christmas dinner got cancelled

Placed an order for Christmas dinner (placed back in October to make sure we could get what we wanted) order was accepted and money taken, then today I received a notification my order was cancelled and I would get a refund. No apology or explanation as to what has happened. I have called their contact number and have been on hold for the last 20 mins. Would not recommend using them.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that you are disappointed with the cancellation of your Christmas order and for this, we sincerely apologise. We appreciate that this has caused much distress and confusion. Unfortunately, we have been affected by the ongoing strike action by Royal Mail and the knock-on effect this has had on the parcel industry. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to guarantee Christmas deliveries and made the extremely difficult decision to give as much notice as possible to our customers to prevent disappointment. All customers received an explanation from our Managing Director, were contacted by email about their order, and refunds were issued as soon as possible. Apologies for being on hold for so long, as you can understand our Customer Service Team were inundated with calls.

Please know that this decision was not taken lightly and we are devastated to have let our customers down. We pride ourselves on our excellent service and it was heartbreaking to have to make this decision. However, the safety and satisfaction of our customers is of the utmost importance to us and we did not want to run the risk of not being able to deliver Christmas dinner closer to the day.

We hope that you will understand our decision and we apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

I will not purchase again

Whenever we made an order from Campbell Meat before Christmas time, we received products with much shorter shelf life compare to our regular orders (3-4 days!). We asked for replacements but the company refused and suggested to freeze them and use at a later date. We feel very uncomfortable to do that due to short shelf life. The company stated that their web site actually says that the shelf life for the products we purchased are 3-4 days. It was not the case for us for regular orders. They also don't answer calls, we spent more than half a day and could not talk to anybody. We e-mailed and asked if they can give us a call, they just replied stating their normal working hours which is obvious and nobody called.

We can also see from your order that all items were delivered to you with a 4 day shelf life period as listed on the website. We also want to assure you that our customer service team provided you with the necessary information on freezing the products on the day of delivery, which is in line with food safety and delivery standards across the UK. Order sent to me by Campbell's Tuesday…

Order sent to me by Campbell's Tuesday promised DPD delivery today Wednesday, DPD kept delivery till Thursday, these are perishable goods no matter how they are packed, DPD say they are overrun with deliveries so delay mine a day. Ridiculous service, never a problem with quality goods from Campbells until now. Dump DPD.

Five Star Service from Campbells.

Five Star Service from Campbells.
Great Value products and extremely good quality.
I have had a monthly subscription now for nearly 2 years which you can change the products and date of delivery.
You can speak to someone on the phone with great customer service.
DPD a lot to be desired but that not Campbells fault.
Will continue to use regularly.

OUTSTANDING QUALITY BUTCHER PRODUCTS , EASY TO BROWSE PRODUCTS

delivered within 3 days of order, excellent delivery tracking updates provided

large box arrived , with contents chilled by cool plastic packs and were still frozen on receipt, even after a hot 36 hours

All protected by foil sleeve

result is your products arrive cleverly chilled, but NOT damp - that includes 2 cardboard boxes of 24 Scotch pies

looking forward to some great meals with quality sausages, bacon, chops , and their blooming fantastic Scotch pies

I run a B&B I hace always used pur local butchers for bacon and sausages, unfortunately with people's shopping habis after 100years of trading has now closed,so have had to source somewhere to buy mu sausages, eventually tried Campbell's and they are absolutely perfect, have now ordered some bacon, so fingers crossed they are just as good

So please with my order

This is my first order to N.Ireland. I have to say the service is excellent. Was told the order left on the Tuesday afternoon and received it just after 10.30 on Wednesday. It was well packed. Plenty of ice packs which were still 3/4 frozen, wrapped in heavy foil and good thick box. The produce was cold and in perfect condition. The scotch pies have lots of filling and are delicious. Looking forward to the Lorne sausage.
Would definitely recommend and will be buying again.

spiral sausages were different this time

I have been buying the spiral sausages for a while now but the last batch I recieved were different, more wet and more paste like which I wasn't too keen on. I'm hoping it was a 1 off and when I reorder again they will be like previous orders!
